  1. Not the worst puzzle game on the market by any means, but by the same token it offers little to entice fans away from the select few gems that have dominated for years.

This game has to be played in the two-player mode to get the true feel of it.
  3. Has the core of great puzzle game, from the range of game modes to the interesting characters. Unfortunately, the sluggish if workable controls put a damper on the overall feel.
  4. The one glaring error in Worms Blast is the overly complicated and sluggish (or, uh, worm-ish) gameplay.
  5. A solid puzzler with an almost impeccable presentation.
  6. 66
An unfortunately overcomplicated variation of "Bust-A-Move."
  7. 58
You can get involved in some pretty intense matches, but the gameplay does not lend itself to be longlasting like some of the other addicting puzzlers out there.
  8. Nintendo Power

It's the bad kind of hard where you aim a millimeter too far to the left and suddenly have to start the entire level all over again. [July 2002, p.147]
  9. The lack of depth is rather disconcerting when there are so many bigger games out there carrying the same price tag.
  10. One boring and frustrating game... The controls and sheer monotony simply ruin the game.
  11. Even though some of the challenges are thumb-breaking, it’s nothing you can’t get over after a couple of minutes. Solid effort, Team 17.
  12. Multiplayer mode is where Worms Blast really comes into its own. Against another player, any game can be completely turned around within a matter of seconds.

If you like tearing your eyes out with a spork in a blinding fury...you'll enjoy this sick disgrace of a puzzle game.
