A bad game that seems good because of it's frenetic madness and weird fun. At least rent it. It's worht for a change.

Picture Viewtiful Joe characters mashed into a Mario Party style game and you have... this game. I was rather disappointed by that, putting that aside, I just couldn't get into the game without putting it down a few minutes later.

It was so boring to play. Gameplay was tedious, graphics were nothing special, and concept sucks. I hate the "shooting a movie" concept, its corny as hell.

  1. Does such emphasis on multiplayer make it a bad game? Not necessarily. But solo gamers who've been spoiled with previous games may not appreciate the new gameplay style. Thus Viewtiful Joe's epic saga continues, with justice and style for all.

Through the crush of it all, Viewtiful Joe's pedigree for fusing entertainment and quality is clearly visible throughout the chaos, even if it doesn't necessarily shine. [Dec 2005, p.100]
  3. The goals, while repetitive, offer more than a typical four-way smasher, but damn, it's hard to keep things straight. For gamers who like things categorically insane, you're looking at a go-to, button-mashy party game.
