This game is absolutly incredible! The only con is that you can't really pick your own sidekicks and goalies. But none the less my favourite mario sports game to date. Also very funny at times. Great job nintendo!

This game is very fun and can be quite challenging if you get far enough. Even though the game would be considered very short for those who are very skilled with soccer games, this is a game you will love to play for many months to come.

It's fun. "Mario cash-in"?? That's like saying disney only makes money off it's characters. weak gameplay? If "Easy to learn but hard to master" is weak, then yes. "Zero Depths" not really sure what he is talking about. I think depths is actually singular, and "standard mario gimmicks". Right lets make a mario game that doesnt have the look or feel of a mario game. It's fun. "Mario cash-in"?? That's like saying disney only makes money off it's characters. weak gameplay? Really great gameplay, extremely fun with friends. I think this is about as good as a sports game can get.

Superb! As told, don't expect realism, but in which game you see 50 shots on goal in 5 minutes!?? Easy and fun to play, fine graphics.

A 9-mark for a really short game? Well, yes, but only if you play it with friends, then it's a really great and fun game. If you play this game alone, you van give it a 7, as it is short and repetitive.

This game is simply fun. It might not have a billion playable characters or stadiums as the reviews state but you can sit anyone down to play and in ten minutes they are hooked. Five year olds could enjoy the game at novice difficulty and I have had a tough time beating All-Star difficulty not to mention there is still legend to conquer. Excellent gameplay of this game, it's extremely addictive, the weakness is the lack of modes, roster and stages to play, but the mechanic is incredible, better than the wii version.

Its a good game but i miss the old mario games where you have to defeat bowser and all that, the sports games have taken the plot completly out of mario games.

Another Mario game, i dont know why the nintendo company dont give this character a rest, they really did an awfully try of making a more mature look to the characters, they will be always being childish. The game is pretty easy, you will always win with those super shots.

If you played this game for an hour a day, you'd have beat the game in 2 weeks. This game is really short, and there's barely any characters.

Yet another Mario cash-in. Weak gameplay, zero depths, and the standard Mario Universe gimmicks all around. Nintendo is becoming EA

I wish EA made games as naturally playable as this. Sure, it may well fall between two stools, being too Mario-y for football fans and too football-y for platform cravers, but as a fan of both, I love it. There's a palpable learning curve and working on your build-ups to attacks reaps great rewards. Back of the net! Or something.

Although it is a game that lacks complexity and a lengthy playthrough, Super Mario Strikers offers players a fun experience that is best shared with others and retains the signature Mario style.

This game only needs one word to describe every single thing about it, it is nothing but amazingly FUN. It is undesputibly enjoyable. You can't not enjoy it. Although bowser, and the super strikes which give 2 goals were unfair, you can trun them off

This might be one of the only accessible soccer games for people who aren't already hardcore fans. You don't even have to be a Mario fan. It's colorful, creative, combative, and creates an environment different than what is seen in your run-of-the-mill sports titles. The controls are crisp and on target, giving the player(s) the best opportunities to organize a high percentage play. This might be one of the only accessible soccer games for people who aren't already hardcore fans. Storylines in sports games often come off forced, and Nintendo made the wise decision of passing up that formality. It's an enjoyable "pick up and play" game that gives the player a release from the day with their favorite Nintendo characters, without requiring the mental commitment of an over-arching story. It's hard to decide scores for games that I have so many good memories for and as much as I didn't know what to give this game I just had to give it a perfect score . Playing this game with friends is unlike any other soccer game i will ever witness. My family was too fast paced for something slow like fifa but also wanted a game we could compete at that anyone could pick up. They know this market better than anyone else and I feel like each game they release just adds to their mastery of this. This game is better than the sequel to it. This game has smooth graphics and amazing gameplay! The character selection is good but the game can get repetitive and get annoying with the sound effects but overall I love this game!

I have no idea how this game can have under 80% review success. It is easily one of the most entertaining, funny and yet strategic sports games ever. Even today - in a strange world of reptetitive NFL and NBA games - this is different, huge fun and if they re-released it today, I am sure gamers would be grateful for something innovative like mario striker.

Mario tries his hand at soccer to add to the many sports he’s played, and it’s quite a unique experience. It’s a game of soccer but without referees, which lets you get away with so much more! The amount of players on a team has gone down from 11 in regular soccer to five, which makes it more playable and less cluttered. The amount of characters is a bit low but it does include the main characters, as well as some sidekicks including Birdos and Hammer Bros, and a Kritter as your goaltender. There is a total of seven stadiums and even though they all play the same, they all feel different due to visuals. You can use power-ups to screw over your opponents, with many including shells, bananas, chain chomps and more. You only get them when someone tries to score, so that balances it out. Your captain can use a special strike which will release a super powerful shot and if you score, you’ll get two goals at once! The game is visually different from the typical Mario game in a good way, and the artwork for the characters is unique and well done! The soundtrack is a blast and a lot of the music is quite dramatic and intense. There are a good amount of game modes, but they are all just variations of the main mode, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing in this case. There is so much craziness happening throughout this game, and it’s got a lot of personality which every Mario sports game needs! Expand

  1. It's charmingly designed from the ground up to be as fun and accessible as possible, yet despite its astonishing simplicity, it still managed to hold our interest well beyond our expectations.
  2. Invite some pals over and you'll have a multiplayer dream session.

Super Mario Strikers is an evolutionary step beyond Soccer Slam, and gives the small-team football game a new breath of life, trumping its predecessor and stamping other similar games such as FIFA Street into the ground.
