    Very unique, but face it. Pokemon needs to stop riding a dead horse. This game is interesting, but probably just too weird for people.

    Definitely aimed at the young Pokemon fan base. It includes an exclusive Pichu Bros. episode (broken up into 5 parts) and several other shows, like a game show, news channel, and a shopping channel that you get to watch with Pikachu. However very few of these shows will you actually want to watch more than once. The game also encourages light collecting, and extremely light exploring. It includes an exclusive Pichu Bros. episode (broken up into 5 parts) and several other shows, like a game show, news channel, and a shopping channel that you get to watch with Pikachu. However very few of these shows will you actually want to watch more than once. The game also encourages light collecting, and extremely light exploring. By exploring the different areas you get to meet other Pokemon and answer questions they ask you so you can get nice cards (one of the games collectibles). All in all it's not the most exciting thing ever, but younger Pokemaniacs will love this and it will provide countless hours of enjoyment for them, as for older Pokemaniacs it's worth a rental just to play through it and see what it has to offer.… Expand

    Even though when I look at this game now, I don't really think of it as a game... But because this is supposed to be a kids game, I think its good for what it is! When I was a kid, I used to love this, it used to always keep me entertained, so for what its supposed to be, it does the trick MOST of the time.

    This game might look simplistic and childish at first, but when you start to appreciate it for what it is (a kids game), you begin to see how fun it can be. The Pichu Bros. Short is a welcome bonus for those who like the animé. There's plenty of fan service here, from the infamous quizzes to legendary Pokémon cameos (Celebi and Jirachi, anyone?).     Not built in the same manner, nor a terribly good game, but it's nice to relax with a pikachu once in a while. Watch TV together, go to the beach for fishing, go to the forest to partake in a band or try some fruit, and so forth.

    In metascore I would give this a 71. The game is boring but it is relaxing and if your REALLY bored this game maybe good and plus the game is cute. Yea.

    While i may have not played enough of the game, i think it is a fun game, the reason why is because there are interesting things on TV, like the Anime, the next best channel than that for me is either the quiz show or the shopping channel, but all the programs at the very least are fine, since Ive never seen anything like this before i cant really fault it since its innovative, i wouldWhile i may have not played enough of the game, i think it is a fun game, the reason why is because there are interesting things on TV, like the Anime, the next best channel than that for me is either the quiz show or the shopping channel, but all the programs at the very least are fine, since Ive never seen anything like this before i cant really fault it since its innovative, i would like to see more like this, maybe a sequel or whatever, since there are problems, but nothing i can fault it on due to either hardware limitations, or just it being a new idea, overall id recommend this game, its fun to relax to, its nice to see whatever Pikachu does, like for me he grabbed my ditto plush and watched TV with it, i can see why some people wont like it, if the TV doesn't excite, then it may not be interesting, but for me it does, so that why i really like this game. sorry if the review is biased as this is a very nostalgic game for me.… Expand

    As limiting as it may be, the recreation of a Pokemon universe is a delightfully escapist one, but after the first week or so it'll take some serious staying power to keep coming back to your yellow friend. [Mar 2004, p.106]
