Jul 21, 2016I just love this game this is my favorite mega man game of all time! The title just explains why simply. It is a collection so it MUST be good well only if it is a good series.

Sep 11, 2014@SteveH. the game you are thinking of is Mega Man X or X2 or X3 on the SNES. Those are great games, and they have their own collections too. This is an amazing collection of the first 8 Mega Man games and 2 previously unreleased! Great games, highly recommended!

MichaelL.Jun 18, 2004How can you beat having some of the best NES games ever and legends in videogames all in one package? This has been my most anticipated game in a long time.

PumsterJun 26, 2004"...The display method the game uses looks bad and the extras are not quite there." Sounds like infamous X-Box 'fanboy' site, GameSpy, is a little upset over the whole "PS2 and GameCube only" compilation. Don't worry, the display is perfect, and the menu screens are well-produced. Stick to X-Box, GameSpy - there's no point complaining when non-X-Box owners know not to listen.

ComicBookGuyJul 6, 2004Excellent collection with good extras. But the extras could have been better, and the jump & shoot buttons seem reversed.

The most thorough and competent rehash packages in recent memory, offering a slew of great games in top form, along with a few cool bonuses.
-
It stands proud as an example of how all retro collections should be compiled in terms of content, even if it does serve to highlight minor presentational niggles such as the lack of a button config option that are often common to these packs.
-
The highlight of the extras would have to be the two hidden games, Mega Man The Power Battles and Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters, both of which are quite entertaining to play (especially with a friend) but are only really enjoyable in short bursts.
