Very fun, has lasting play value. Many games don't. You can put this down for a week and come back and it's still fun, exactly what I look for in a game.

As a Godzilla fanatic, I was looking forward to this game quite a bit. The multiplayer mode is solid, fun, and good for parties. So, why does this get a 1/10?

The Adventure mode, which is damn near essential to beat in order to have fun with multiplayer (due to unlocking new characters) is godawful. Incredibly unfair, rage-inducing, and terribly designed, the Adventure mode is from hell. I'm fine with hard games; hell, I play them all the time (Zelda 2: The Adventure Of Link and Castlevania Dracula X for instance) but this is 100% unfair. Don't touch this Godzilla-sized turd.

I rate this game entirely on the muti-player perspective. Because that is what it is a multi-player game. The game lost points because it is homo when you start with only 3 monsters and every one else must be unlocked. Also the game could use King Kong. He is to great to just leave out. but when every one is unlocked you will have a blast battling against your friends.

I played this game for over an hour and a half after my friend begged me to play it. I tried to like it, I really did, but the incredibly sluggish controls prevented me from ever feeling like I was really in command of the game. I realize these are huge monsters, but I felt like the combat, especially the up close kicking and punching, should have been much more responsive than it is. I realize these are huge monsters, but I felt like the combat, especially the up close kicking and punching, should have been much more responsive than it is. As it stands, you really just have to pound the buttons hoping something great happens. The graphics are a bit drab, though strangely appropriate, and there are a lot of nice touches with the buildings around you having chunks knocked off before they fall down. The sound is also well done, particularly the music. Still, the core of the package, the fighting, is what's lacking the most. It's by no means a terrible game, and I could see why people would like it, but I really wasn't feeling this game at all. Expand

I liked the game alot. The only things I don't like is that the game could have longer and more levels. Also it should have more monsters.

Well after seeing this game played on TV I had to have it (and a gamecube to play it on...) Unfortunately I'm a little disapointed for several reasons. a) lack of combos b) the game does not reply on skilled timing c) the A.I. can be very boring to fight, especially if their is a powerup which is will invariably try to pick up. Well really once you think about it they should't of put the beam's in cuse if stuff in flying the guy alway's aim's for that. But other than that it's super fun. If you want really good multi-player godzilla destroy all monster's melee is you're best choice

This game is fun! Demolishing cities as well as using megaton monsters with their own unique skills and powers, need I go on? Sure the controls are different, but a true gamer can get used to this in a snap, and it all becomes much more enjoyable and addictive.

An easily accessible fighting game that almost anybody can jump into and understand. Players will need to beat the story mode many times to unlock all of the monsters, but it doesn't take away from the fun of the game. The greatest part of DAMM is that you'll feel like you're really a giant monster; something that most Godzilla games prior to this one failed to capture.

It is fun and the game doesn't lack so much but the game is still flawed and who wanted a godzilla game anyways? But it IS atari so they do try to be the next activison but failed.

My first rounds in this game were pretty good, so good indeed that I asked myself why I forgot this game in the first place, then I keep on playing and then I remembered, it is a lot repetitive.

The monster selection is very limited and also have like 3 or 4 "cloned" monsters with a few differences that at times makes you feel like they're unique characters. The most novelty thing is the gameplay, the fact that you're controlling giant monsters and destroy everything in your fight is pretty neat, the only problem is that the move-set may be somewhat complex and creative but it is also very clunky most of the times, which is a major let down, I lost a lot of fights because the controls have this weird feeling. Speaking of letdowns, almost all the stages look almost the same, even when you have unique landmarks for every one of them, which again, adds for a sense of repetition.

Godzilla: Destroy all Monsters Melee can be very fun at first or in extremely short gaming sessions, but once you cross that line, you'll always feel this sensation of deja vu.

Okay for fans of Godzilla, not very fun as a fighting game. If I didn't like the Godzilla movies, I would have rated it lower. The unlockable characters and big kaiju feeling to the action will please those that are into the Godzilla franchise, but the fighting aspect is one of the weaker parts of the game unfortunately.

Overall this game is alright, it's fun at times and boring at others. I recommend this game with friends but by yourself it's boring C- for me (2.5/5)

Aunque técnicamente no sea un portento te hace sentir la esencia de las películas de Godzilla y monstruos gigantes, el destruir la ciudad mientras peleas mola. Lo importante es que es entretenido.

Though it misses a beat here and there, DAMM ultimately rocks hard in the gameplay department.

The best Godzilla game to date. It would be a good brawler even without the big green guy, as the fighting mechanics are solid all-around.

The top dog in large-scale fighting. The fact that it's covered with melted Japanese cheese is merely icing on the cake. [Nov 2002, p.90]
