Really only for the youngest of the show's fans. It's a short, pathetically easy, and repetitive experience that's about as simplistic as it gets. It's a short, pathetically easy, and repetitive experience that's about as simplistic as it gets. The gameplay literally just consists of walking around and looking for things or people while maneuvering around random crap. The obstacles include things like guys pushing TVs and students throwing books. Needless to say there isn't any sort of challenge and the whole thing can be breezed through in about 2-3 hours.

Each set of levels is based off of an episode of the show. Over the course of the game you'll play through the same locations over and over again. The only thing that changes is the layout themselves, usually only to get more convoluted. To help you avoid obstacles you can dump water on the ground or spray enemies with perfume to freeze them up for a bit. The levels are littered with these items so there is no reason to worry about running out. You can also swing Raven's purse to deflect projectiles.

To help extend the life of the game a bit each level has a bonus objective. These objectives consist of collecting X amount of items for one of the show's side-characters. The problem with these bonus objectives is that by the time you've found all of the items you're already near the end of the level and the backtracking would just be a pain. If you do choose to go out of your way to complete the bonus objectives you are rewarded with some pictures of scenes from the show. Not really much of an incentive for older players, but perhaps worth it for the young Raven superfans.

That's really the problem with the game as a whole. It's not actually bad, but just way too easy and simplistic for anyone over the age of eight. The gameplay and difficulty is perfectly oriented for the youngest fans of the show. That's not really a bad thing, but it's hard to not point out how the game suffers from alienating the show's older fans.

  1. A mediocre game that fails to deliver anything positive. The only praise I can give is the absence of annoyances like frustrating gameplay and too hard a difficulty level for children.
  2. With its repetitive levels, unchanging locations, and limitations in gameplay, this game truly suffers in quality.
  3. Purchase it knowing it's an average-at-best side-scroller that might seem ridiculously easy even to a child.
