The music is a wonderful addition and overall the game is just entertaining. Even the instruction manual is colorful and thorough.

My overall experience with Mario Advance was a good one even though it lacks originality. It’s a blast from the past – the control even feels the same – and it brought back some fond gaming memories.

There are tons of bright, varied colors and it’s definitely eye-candy. This isn’t the best I’ve seen (Iridion 3D, Pitfall and Tony Hawk 2 look incredible) but it’s still pretty. I still can’t believe this is all on a handheld.

My advice -- hold on to your $30 until Nintendo releases the inevitable sequels to Super Mario Advance featuring games far worthier of another look.

If you think back to the days when you plunked quarter after quarter into the SM series of games (or played them on the NES) with fondness, you'll have a ball reliving it with a fresh coat of paint.

And even in its diminutive form, the game feels exactly the same as it always has—pros, cons, and all.

Super Mario Advance might be nothing more than a beefed-up port of an old game, but hell, it’s a Nintendo classic.

The best version of Super Mario 2/Mario Brothers on the market. If that’s what you’re looking for, buy this game. If you’re expecting more than a port of a ten year old game, though, you may be disappointed.

You've already seen it all, and much that's new has an empty, unsatisfying air about it that there should be lots more of this good stuff. But if you do pick up Super Mario Advance, I can pretty much promise you won't regret it for a second.

Not only will expose a whole new generation to one of the classics, it will challenge those who remember it the first time around.

You may argue that Mario Advance is old fashioned, but it’s a testament to the strength of the gameplay that it still pulls you in and keeps you fixed to your Game Boy.
