Marble madness is an awesome game, but they totally screwed up it's translation here. it's one of the worst ports i've ever come across.

Klax rocks, as it always does. It's the reason I bought the cart, so i'm not *too* upset. But Marble Madness may as well not be there. I wish they had paired Klax with something worthwhile.

A mixed bag containing a decent version of Klax and a subpar port of Marble Madness.
Regarding Marble Madness, the music and sound effects are tolerable, and while I don't think the controls are as bad as some people would argue, they still could have been much better. Regarding Marble Madness, the music and sound effects are tolerable, and while I don't think the controls are as bad as some people would argue, they still could have been much better. It's also a shame that they only ported the first three levels from the original game, so once you've completed the Practice, Beginner and Intermediate races it only provides for about 5 minutes worth of entertainment at the most.
Regarding Klax, it's a very playable and overall good version of the classic puzzle game- and what makes this cartridge worth the few bucks you'd pay for it at a thrift store or on eBay.

  1. Marble Madness is literally half the game it once was, but Klax makes this two-pack worth the price of admission.

I've never seen a port of Marble Madness as awful as this GBA game -- and I've actually owned the terrible Apple IIGS version, and reviewed the glitchy Game Boy Color game in year's past.
  3. I find it very strange that one game is so good and the other one so bad. Perhaps the title of this duo should have been re-titled Jekyll and Hyde. It's like the developers just gave up on Marble Madness halfway through the development process.
