BoomerW.Jun 30, 2003The last game was better because you could do things better than 2004. stealing second is much easier than the last game because the shortstop run so it would be a shorter throw. it is easier to strikie out in 2004 than it is in 2003 if you are on rookie because it goes so slow.

GMR MagazineAcclaim made a lot of improvements and did a great job at capturing some of the spirit of baseball, but the actual on-field experience seems a little off. [Apr 2003, p.64]

Even though the 2004 edition has some minor tweaks here and a couple of changes there, essentially it's just a better tasting version of last year's game... in a new wrapper.

The way the CPU fields the ball is disappointing at times, as is the lack of a player editor or a franchise mode, but you'd have to be really discerning to let those shortcomings prevent you from enjoying this game.
