Best DS Tiger Woods yet! The controls this year are near perfection, just the putting aiming is a bit touchy. 8 full courses and WFC play makes this a full experiance. Only complaint, can't fast forward or skip AI play durring "Tiger Challaenge" mode.

Best golf game on a hand held without a doubt.. easily my favorite DS game and probbaly will be for a while... no complaints... nice graphics.. great controls. good physics.. great use of the stylus... and adding wifi play just makes it that much better.. great job on this game.... i say to definitely give it a try.. even if your not into golf (like myself) it still makes a great game!

Up until now, True Swing Golf was probably the best golf game for the DS, but Tiger has finally caught up. Is Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 a better game than True Swing Golf? I'd say no, nor is it worse. What TW has over TSG is better production values, real world courses (including my favorite, St. Andrews!), and the names and likenesses of actual PGA pros. What keeps TW from Up until now, True Swing Golf was probably the best golf game for the DS, but Tiger has finally caught up. Is Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 a better game than True Swing Golf? I'd say no, nor is it worse. What TW has over TSG is better production values, real world courses (including my favorite, St. Andrews!), and the names and likenesses of actual PGA pros. What keeps TW from definitively taking the top spot, however, is a fiddly putting game that can often get frustrating. Sometimes a full power putt will have the ball drift well past the hole, and other times it'll come up just a hair short, and I've not really been able to figure out why. It's also not uncommon to see the ball roll straight over the hole and keep going. I don't know if this intended, but it makes the putting game more frustrating than it needs to be. I recommend leaving "Auto Tap-ins" enabled since all you need to do is get the ball close (within a couple of feet), and the computer will take over and putt it in for you. But even as frustrating as the putting game can be, it's surprisingly not a game breaker. Another niggle is that you can't determine the point of impact before taking your swing. You can only apply spin to the ball after it has already left your club, which brings in the temptation to apply spin after the fact to try and salvage an errant shot. To be fair, the mechanic seems to work as intended, but it just feels wrong since you should not be able to interact with the ball in any way after hitting it. Other nice features include the ability to play a quick game on the course of your choice, either front 9, back 9, random 5, or random 3; and there's a few dozen golf-related mini-games that offer nice diversion. If EA were to tighten up the putting game and change the way spin is applied, this would easily be a perfect 10 game as I really see nothing else to complain about. Maybe they'll put that on their "To Do" list for Tiger Woods 09. Expand

While the graphics don't blow the door off... the control certainly does. After getting used to the stylus and specifically getting the hang of putting, the game offers quite a bit of challange but not too much and not too little. The Wifi multiply feature alone is worth the price.

I'm just incredibly impressed with the leap the series has made on the dual-screen handheld. If it's done right, golf makes for a great handheld experience due to its pick-up-and-play style - play a hole, put the system away, pick it up again, play another hole, put it away again.
  2. A superb game and the best golf game on any handheld. Period.
  3. After a two-year hiatus, the Tiger Woods franchise makes a triumphant return to the DS with this exceptionally entertaining golf simulator.
