Official Nintendo Magazine UKJan 1, 2011A nightmare to get to grips with, but once you do it's a pretty impressive shooter. [Christmas 2010, p.92]
-
Despite doing its level best to offer impressive variety, slick 3D visuals, and a decent raft of challenging stages, it's a game that seems determined to irritate the player.
-
Average at best. This is the kind of game that you won't remember playing a year from now, because it's not exciting enough to make any real lasting positive impression, but it's also done just well enough that it shouldn't strike you as terribly negative either.
-
It's difficult to find any serious fault with Thorium Wars. Its concept is both strong and well-handled, and the various missions actually feel...well...varied. The only thing difficult to swallow is the price tag, and, indeed, for a few hundred points less we'd be recommending it all the more strongly.
-
Thorium Wars is a highly entertaining game that has a fair amount of replay value and high production values. It might be expensive, but it sure is a great piece of software.
