PES 2008 is a bit of a mixed bag, really. I really enjoy the World Tour mode, where you use the old PES stock characters like Castolo and Minanda to take on each of the national teams, and I like the "slot machine" mechanic used to unlock new characters from defeated teams. Being able to have players equip items to improve stats is a nice touch. But the actual gameplay itself seems aPES 2008 is a bit of a mixed bag, really. Being able to have players equip items to improve stats is a nice touch. But the actual gameplay itself seems a little broken and, compared to other iterations of the game, really barebones. The DS doesn't really take to a game with precise controls like those in the PES series. It's all right, but FIFA 08 seems to be a better choice still. Expand

Сейчас я ставлю оценку под синдромом утенка. Дело в том, что pes 2008
являлся первой игрой в моей жизни и отложился в моей памяти, как то единственное, что скрашивало мои летние каникулы

The Nintendo DS isn't really a sports powerhouse game system, but it really deserves better than this.
  2. Offering no discernible improvement over its lacklustre predecessor and paling in comparison to more accomplished DS football titles, PES 2008 is best relegated to bench-warming duty.
  3. You're probably as well-served going for FIFA '08 on DS than you are this. That said, this is a decent attempt at portable football on the DS that carries Pro Evo's name, though don't let it fool you into thinking it's anywhere near as majestic as other versions.
