Aug 29, 2018I played this game when it was released and it wasn't bad by the standards of 2006. Kids seem to enjoy this game when I give them my DS. But it is too short for the price it sells for.

Combining Nickelodeon's most popular characters in one game seems like a great idea, but Nicktoons Unite! is too content to be another generic platformer that leans exclusively on its license.

It fits its ideal child audience and will amuse those young enough to appreciate the cartoons. But Unite isn't really the best thing you can own on the DS right now, especially when you have "Mario Kart DS" and "Mario and Luigi: Partners In Time" available for the same system.

It wouldn't matter if Brad Pitt and a naked Angelina Jolie starred in this game, it's just not very good. It's a stale platformer in which every element has been dumbed down to its basic component and just barely manages to make use of the touch and dual screen.
