liameyresMay 1, 2008I think this game is amazing. all the big game websites only give this game a 6 rating it definatly deserves a 10 and it is by far better than FF 12 revenant wings which gets a 7 rating but ROF is probably the best DS game out at the moment

IanPlutonMar 10, 2008100% from 1UP? Seems their new non-metric reviewing scheme doesnt translate aross to Metacritic too accuratly. 1UP actually gave FFCC DS an 'A'. They say "We rate games on a scale of A+ through F", so A cannot equate to 100%.
Im suspicious of this high review score anyway. The 1UP review is plastered above and to the sides with large FFCC advertisments. Hmmmm... -

RickyT.Apr 25, 2008Got the game today so this an initial review. Graphics are good, game seems fun so far. First and second dungeon seem to be a challenge, but not impossible Only flaw so far is the control system - you need to use both hands as the stylus at the same time which is impossible, not even using a hand instead of the stylus is a viable alternative as often all 3 are needed at the same time!

Apr 4, 2022The game is alright, the story is meh, I kind of got bored from the story. The boss fights are meh, I always don't know how to do damage to the bosses. The characters are meh, I didn't get into any characters in this game. Some puzzles were ok but a lot of them, I didn't know what to do.

Jun 3, 2023Another enjoyable RPG/platform arcade adventure hybrid but as it is aimed at younger players, veterans may find the syrup-soaked story and dialogue painfully twee.

Jan 14, 2023worth it and glad to play this game again. so much memories and nostalgia within this spin off game in the series.

Loses a tiny little something if you're not ever going to see the four-player stuff, but it's undoubtedly a very cool and enjoyable hack-'em-up no matter how you play.

Nintendo PowerFor most game series, what we find in Ring of Fates would be acceptable; for Final Fantasy, it is a major concern. [Mar 2008, p.84]

Electronic Gaming MonthlyThanks to the awesomely balanced difficulty curve, I haven't had this much fun dungeon-crawling since "Diablo II." [Apr 2008, p.82]
