  1. Attack of the Saiyans is not necessarily just for hardcore DBZ fans. If you're into Japanese RPGs, and if you don't mind a slow, tedious beginning (and seriously, the first ninety minutes are very weak), then Attack of the Saiyans can be an extremely charming, loud, and violent fairy tale.
  2. Clearly one of the best translations to a game from Akira Toriyama's classic manga that we've seen.
  3. Straying from the mold, Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans is a solid adaptation of the high flying, explosive action for the RPG genre. While it's not a perfect game by any means, it's quite possibly the best Dragon Ball Z game to date.

Attack of the Saiyans is the truest game to the DBZ Anime I have ever seen. Not only it is true, but it is really good as an RPG.

What it is, though, is about as good a Dragon Ball Z game as anyone's going to make. [Dec 2009, p.87]
  6. It's worth a look if you're wanting a good game; it's a must buy if you're a fan of the genre or series.

Overall, I found Attack of the Saiyans to be a short but admirable attempt at bringing structure and story-driven action to the series in its video game adaptations.

This is one of the best DBZ games that I've ever played and the fact that it's an RPG and still a great game shows how great it is. The fighting animations are great as well as all the team combo's that you can create with all the characters. One negative part of the game is that it only takes place to the fight with Vegeta, but there are many side missions to keep you busy. Especially the fight against Broly who is cheap as hell!!! If you want a great game for only $25 bucks or just borrow it from a friend because this is a game that any DBZ fan has to play. Full Review »

Good visuals, good gameplay, good sound and music. Wonder why they took so long to release a game like this...and why they keep releasing fighting games for consoles instead of a good RPG. I hope there will be a sequel. Full Review »
