    WALL-E's just a bunch of schlock that shares a marketing department with a much, much better movie.

    It does have some nice ideas, but it only executes them sort of well and then pisses all over them with terrible gameplay mechanics, a camera that is surely the spawn of Satan and graphics that look like someone excreted them. Avoid.

    To be fair, WALL*E is a decent game considering the source material, and kids will likely enjoy controlling the movie's stars and reliving moments from the film. However, the slow pacing, unnecessarily long levels and at times boring puzzles keep it from being as stellar as the movie it mimics.

I got this game for Christmas many years ago and I still remember the frustration I felt for failing on level 1. When I dreamed of playing a Wall-E video game after watching the credits sequence, I was hoping for a smoother experience. I love the movie and I love DS games. But I was expecting to at least feel some amount of joy while playing this game.

    The only part I found enjoyable were the cutscenes, reflecting key moments from the movie. But setting that aside this entire game is just tedious puzzles where Wall-E travels via explosion and somehow doesn't take any damage. And when you're not doing that, you're participating in flying segments as Eva where there's way too much to dodge. Oh I'm sorry? You wanted to enjoy this high speed section? Well good luck with that! There's not a hint of music in this game and its just packed with cramp level design!

    I've played worse on the DS, but like the stealth levels from Yu-Gi-Oh Stardust Accelerator. All I experience is frustration.    … Full Review »

It doesn't try to be anything more than a quick review of the movie, but the gameplay is great puzzle stuff, and at times reminds me of the Oddword games. You control Wall-E in 8 of 14 levels, crunching and chucking waste to activate switches and blast enemies. The levels are fun and varied. Unfortunately the other 6 levels are interchangeable wastes of time where you navigate Eve up, down, left and right to avoid oncoming obstacles. All this game needs is a few polishes -- some more levels and a level editor would be enough, even. As it stands, a not-too-wasteful purchase that neither I nor my son want to play a second time.… Full Review »
