    A dungeon crawling RPG is a direction is a direction I never thought I would see from a ninja turtles game, but It by no stretch of the imagination failed.

    We find the stars of Michael Bay's ninja turtles hanging out in the sewers one faithful night when it comes to their attention that master Splinter has been taken from their lair. The turtles set off on an adventure in the style of    A dungeon crawling RPG is a direction is a direction I never thought I would see from a ninja turtles game, but It by no stretch of the imagination failed.

    We find the stars of Michael Bay's ninja turtles hanging out in the sewers one faithful night when it comes to their attention that master Splinter has been taken from their lair. The turtles set off on an adventure in the style of retro dungeon crawlers with their own special brand of turtle flair.

    Each turtle handles in a very distinct way setting them all apart in very obvious ways similar to the RPG troupes of old. Michelangelo handles like a rogue/thief character with the fastest movement and attack speed as well as ranged attacks. Leonardo is a fighter that can handle shielded enemies far more efficiently than his brothers. Donatello handles crowd control with a series of AOE basic attacks and special abilities that can destroy several enemies at one. Bringing up the rear is Raphael who handles as the teams warrior, much slower than the other turtles Raph can deal massive amounts of damage to single enemies with his trademark brute power.

    As the turtles level up they will gain access to new moves along their skill trees granting them new active and passive skills that greatly differentiate each turtle from one another. Along with this skill system you will also have access to a loot and crafting system allowing the turtles to gain and create new weapons that will grant them more power as well as elemental buffs to their basic moves.

    The stages are bite sized affairs taking roughly 8 to 12 minutes each to complete, though a medium sized amount of special side missions allow for even more gameplay once they are unlocked by progressing further through the story.

    To this day movie tie-in games still hold a notorious reputation among gamers, but the obvious care and attention to the game itself shows that this turtles game stands well above the standard that its tie-in brothers have come to show us.    … Expand

    If you like the Diablo games, this is a stripped down handheld version replacing supernatural monsters with mutant rats and mousers.
    The campaign is only about 3 hours, but there are side missions that could easily fill another 2 hours.

    The player switches between the four turtles during play, each with their own unique attributes that help get you through the different levels.

    Overall this is probably the best TMNT game in quite a while, which sadly isn't saying much. It's very much playable, and can be pretty fun.    … Expand

    This game is actually kind of fun and reminded me of the beat em up games I played as a kid. I recommend this game if you like beat em ups.
