I bought Subara City in 2018

SubaraCity is a unique title with slick graphics and would be great on GBA-upto-Switch. You have this grid of say 5x5 where pentominos fall from the top, tetris style, each in either of 4 different colors. Then you slide the piece to some piece already on the grid and if it has the same color, they merge into a single cell. The amount of times a cell has merged is actually a number but represented visually in a hut/house/mansion/skyscraper thing.

However, skyscrapers have this tendency to block off view of the things behind it, and as you play from a bird's eye perspective, you might be hindered a bit.

So how does a level end? When you can't combine same-color pieces anymore, or all your existing pieces are already the max level. While you remember tetris as addictive, I found the time to finish a level in Subara a bit too long.

As you progress, the amount of colors rises and the grid size does, and even when you figured out that it may be a good idea to have the first skyscrapers in the corners then the sides, gameplay remains samey.

In short, addiction is missing in Subara, so in the end after about a dozen sessions I just forgot about the title.

    Recommended?
As always, recommended if you can stand to watch some playthroughs on yt, otherwise don't bother.

In terms of $/h/p a price point of $4 is advice to avoid. $1 would make it a buy recommendation. Every few months the price drops to $1, so pick it up then. There is a lot of content in SC.
