    SteamWorld Dig 2 is a triumphant sequel that improves in every way on its predecessor. It is wonderfully well-written and designed, with an addictive gameplay loop, and endearing characters supporting the story. I double-dipped, getting this for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS. SteamWorld Dig 2 is one of my favorite games on either platform.

    Love this game! I gave it a 9 on PC, but bumped it up for the DS version -- it just feels like it was made for portable. It loads almost instantly on my 2DS XL, with no lag or issues with load times when traveling between areas. Controls are smooth, and even using the tiny shoulder buttons for the drill and hook aren't too awkward for my grown-up hands. The game itself appears to beLove this game!     Great game! Progression feels fluid, all the upgrades feel great to snatch, and platforming segments can be particularly great at showing off the tight controls. The only thing keeping it from a 10 is that combat isn't the best, but other than that, great game!

    SteamWorld Dig 2 is a wonderful sequel to the already impressive SteamWorld Dig, and this 3DS port of last year’s Switch release does not disappoint. Taking everything that was great from the original, and improving it even further, SWD2 can stand proudly near the top of the list of ‘must play’ titles on the Nintendo eShop. The Switch version of the game might just win the battle over its smaller cousin thanks to its graphical power and TV functionality, but we guarantee you will love every moment of this title no matter which platform you have at your disposal.
