Kingdom's item shop is a fairly causal game. The player gets to play as either a boy or a girl, though it has no impact on the game. The characters (black) hair (blue) eyes and outfit do not change over the course of the game, which made it feel less personal. The player is given no dialogue choices, in fact the protagonist never speaks, and that can be seen as charming. As the gameKingdom's item shop is a fairly causal game. As the game progresses the other shop keepers around town will tell the protagonist things about their lives and grow to like him/her. Game play wise, it's fun but at the same time dull. It's enjoyable to gather money and items however for the most part you're just standing around, be it as you wait for sells or wait for the adventures you hired to beat monsters during quest. This game can get really boring really quickly. Though the music really helps, it makes the game more inviting to the player. So this game isn't really good for places where the sound needs to be off.
The game is only $5(American) so it's not like someone should expect much from it but it plays like a Facebook game. So if you don't mind bugging all of your Facebook friends you could get the same experience (maybe even a more immersive one) for free. However that's not to say Kingdom's Item Shop isn't worth buying. It's a game that is easy to come back to and is extremely cute.
If the game were to be remade there are certainly some changes that are foreseeable. Personal examples of what would be nice to see are a closest function where the player can change the protagonist outfit and perhaps even their appearance. Another would be the ability to talk, both in the since of options for the player to pick for the protagonist to say and just being able to talk to people in town whenever. Finally (though not at all necessary) having bachelors and bachelorettes would be cool. Though that last one is just 'cause I'm a sucker for romance and enjoy Harvest Moon/Rune Factory sorts of games.
So overall Kingdom's Item Shop is a cute and enjoyable game. Though it has plenty of room for improvement it certainly is worth the $5. So if you like Facebook games or the older Harvest Moon games then you'll probably like this game.
In the end I'll give Kingdom's Item Shop a 8/10. It's a lot of fun despite the fact it's really cheap and not many people even know about it or even bother to care for it.

Kingdom's Item Shop costs about $5 and is totally worth it, if you're any kind of loot hoarder like I am.
Essentially once the game opens up, you get to make stuff by getting ingredient stuff that you make by finding stuff. The recipes, some are given, some you have to discover yourself, some of these are very cryptically described.
    Extremely addictive, extremely optimized for

Extremely addictive, extremely optimized for playability, this game has almost everything. The end boss is hard but doable, but the last 1 or 2 achievements are inhumanly hard for a completionist.

Highly recommended, and also very suitable on-the-go, in small doses, but those doses will turn out to be larger than you planned for.

Kingdom’s Item Shop may have a rather interesting concept but the action is so repetitive that it quickly becomes a tedious chore. Overall the game lacks challenge and achieves little with its unusual premise, which could have taken the game in a different direction, were it not for an overwhelming feeling of repetitiveness that quickly takes over everything.
