The biggest negative to this game (according to other users) is that it's completely unlike it's large console counterparts. YES, it is a different game, but that doesn't make it bad. It's a fairly simple, straight forward and small RPG with cartoony graphics. Those that are fans of the show will catch countless references, but those that aren't can enjoy a cute red-neck experience. While the Duck Dynasty game ported onto PC, Play Station, and Xbox are all 3rd person hunting games, the 3DS is set up more like Animal Crossing (dare I even compare these two) with an overhead camera view, a cartoonish over world, but much less variety of things to do. The biggest problem though is that the graphics are awful and blocky, even worse looking than most Nintendo 64 games, which is very disappointing since the 3DS is capable of delivering some very good looking graphics.

As for the game play, it's extremely repetitive. You'll do a mission, which usually is just going up and talking to one of the characters, find another character, talk to them, shoot ducks, talk to more characters, fish, get a mission of delivering something to another character. talk more, repeat. You'll also go cut wood and go frogging as well, which is also very repetitive and overly tedious. You get absolutely no enjoyment in any of these mini-games.

Another annoying thing about the game is that the dialogue is almost nothing but quotes from the tv show and "redneck" puns. The characters will give you hints if you need them, but in order to get them, you'll have to talk to them three or four times and withstand their annoying "redneck" quotes before they finally tell you what you need to do.

The only good thing I can think of about this game would be that the background music is tolerable to listen too.

The game overall is not enjoyable at all. Why any Nintendo fan, or any Duck Dynasty fan for the matter, would buy their video game is beyond my belief, and even more-so for anyone to enjoy it. Without a doubt one of the worst games of the year as well as in the 3DS library. Even if you're a collector, you should avoid this title, unless you're okay with your collection becoming tainted.
