A clever, unique top-down shooter that is ultimately enjoyable, if only for a short while.

Chain Blaster may be flawed in that its campaign is short and not entirely difficult, but it’s still a whole lot of fun. It’s the type of game that reflects both the advantages and flaws of an arcade-based genre, but it does so with an irresistible style. Fans of shoot ‘em ups, especially of the bullet hell variety, should definitely give this one a shot.

Overall, I enjoyed what I played. I wish there was more imagination put into the level and enemy design, but if you want a cheap, fun high-score chasing shoot-'em-up, I'm sure you'll have a blast.

It's a refreshing sight to see and a very fun game to play. The game handles very nicely and the art style is rather pleasing to the eye. It's got a nice difficulty curve as well, so it doesn't immediately throw too much in your face. The 3D is implemented nicely as well, nothing to bad, but not needed. All in all, for only $7, it's a game I would recommend to anyone who likes a good shooter game. Full Review »

I had for a long time hoped that a shooter in the likes of Metal Torrent would be developed for the 3DS, and this is totally IT! Don't expect anything too complex in terms of content like say, Star Fox or Nano Assault, but if you're into straight up shooters this one is a title to pick up! Full Review »
