Some heartbreaking deviations from the source material give gamers even more of a reason to stay tuned while also showcasing just how much Pedro and Bella embody their characters by taking them ‘off script’. Lamar Johnson as Henry and Keivonn Woodward as Sam instantly endear themselves to the viewers with heartwarming chemistry and sincere performances.

And the finale…chaos, heartbreak, and a defining moment for Joel’s thawing and Ellie’s burgeoning sense of purpose through all the futility.

This episode made me emotional just like the first one when Sarah dies. This episode shows what The Last Of Us is. I have to give it 10/10 and this is my favorite episode so far

Ellie running to save Sam and Henry kind of reminded me of the unbroken shot of Jon Snow during The Battle of the Bastards in Game of Thrones. Ellie's big sister relationship with Sam was one of the highlights of the series. Overall, great episode.… Expand

Easily the best episode. This one was extremely fun to watch and also hard to watch at the same time. The emotion I had watching this was dialed up to 11. Really do hope the rest of the series is just as good.

This week's episode was like a good episode out of a mediocre zombie show, and I've come to expect more from The Last of Us. The action scenes were really hammy: they do the thing where someone has a gun pointed at someone else but lingers long enough for help to arrive. That trope drives me up a wall and they leaned on it multiple times.

The story they tell with the episode is a zombie tale as old as time. They add some flavor to it, but the base feels uninspired.

There were many redeeming qualities, and I'm still excited for future episodes, but this episode disappointed me, especially after last week's fantastic build up to it.… Expand

Joel is such a wimp. A doormat. I just don't see or feel the unbreakable bond you get when you play the game. Lame adaptation that failed in the most simplist of things to depict.

Awesome episode. My favorite one so far and I know I'm sounding like a broken record naming each episode as my favorite one but the show is just that good minus episode 3 in my opinion. The scenes with Henry and Sam and Sam and Ellie wereAwesome episode. I would say from myself it is hard to convince me. But this Episode was a 10/10 absolut amazing. It had everything. Action, Drama and a amazing Storytelling. Сцены с Кэтлин в середине замечательная и вполне раскрывающая её как нового любопытного персонажа. И в плане постановки совершенно ужасный момент с реакцией Перри на блоутера прямо родом из 90-х. Хотя сам монстр безусловно хорош. А вот финал даже сильнее, чем оригинал, и во многом сгладил изъяны эпизода.… Expand

Maybe the most human episode, this far. Perry finding Kathleen in her old house, the children playroom underground and the brief respite it provides, Sam's turning and those harrowing moments of both brothers going. The sets are mostly as atmospheric as anyone can wish for, the acting is very good all around. My favorite might again be Bella Ramsey, I'm shocked along with her, feel for her in these scenes respectively.

The Bloater though was muddying the scary impact of the spectacular mayhem of the freed infected. It looked like an actor in a spongey suit depicting a monster without plausible motivation, neither food nor the spread of fungus, just a huge, rather cartoony hulk simply being really angry. And this is mere nitpicking now, but Perry's redundant second dagger mounted high up towards his right shoulder: was he gonna draw that with his teeth? Minor griping that pales considering this is a strong nine out of ten for me.

Also glad that they went back to a length of 59 minutes. We have four episodes left in this season, I am hoping they won't rush things.… Expand

Wonderful and amazing. This episode of Last of us not only thrilled the cinema audience, but also those who had experienced the game were surprised and emotional after seeing this episode. And I think this is the best part of the series so far

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Ils prennent toujours des libertés... Mais celle ci sont cohérente et utile pour la plupart ! Ils ont aussi repris tout ce qui fonctionnait des précédents épisodes, on a du suspense, de la tension, de l'action, de l'émotion, etc... il y a tout dans cette épisode ! Mais surtout on a ENFINNNN des infectés ! Putain il était temps !!! on aura attendu casi 3h de visionnage pour en voir... Mais ca y es on en a eu, et franchement ils sont bien fait, qu'ils en montrent plus... Enfin la pour le 5e on a été servi comme pour le 2nd et le début du 1er épisode...

Si je devais mettre un hic à cet épisode, ca serait le fait que les infectés sont sous terre et comme par hasard le quatuor n'en voient aucun alors qu'ils y passent un bon moment, ce qui est très bizarre au final...

Mais bon au final cet épisode est pour le moment le meilleur de la série !… Expand

Ani sme sa nenazdali a už tu máme o pár dní skorej piaty diel, ktorý nesie názov Endure and Surive. Teda vydržať a prežiť. Je to aj taká skrytá referencia na časopisy, ktoré ste mohli zbierať v pôvodnej hre.

 Na úvod sa nám opäť predstavilaAni sme sa nenazdali a už tu máme o pár dní skorej piaty diel, ktorý nesie názov Endure and Surive. Teda vydržať a prežiť. Je to aj taká skrytá referencia na časopisy, ktoré ste mohli zbierať v pôvodnej hre.

 Na úvod sa nám opäť predstavila mangalica, ktorá radšej ten kabát ani dole nedáva, však lebo v Pittsburgu je zima nie? Zobrala si radšej so sebou stoličku rozkladaciu na vyjednávanie so zajatcami, ktorá ju aj tak ledva udržala a zisťovala kde dopekla je Henry a Sam. Dúfam, že odpoveď na túto otázku, prečo po nich tak túži sa dozviem do konca epizódy. Nič proti herečke, ktorá hra túto rolu šéfky paramilitaristickej skupiny ktorá zvrhla FEDRU a celú karanténnu zónu Pittsburgu teraz ovláda, ale jednoducho tam nepasuje. Ani výzorom, ani hlasom, ani ničím. Pôsobí skôr komicky ako sa taká améba prelieva zo strany na stranu a tým sa presúva z miesta na miesto. Jej tenký ženský hlások vôbec nie je odstrašujúci a nepôsobí ani autoritatívne. Celé zle. Ale podme ďalej.

V prestrihu sa dozvieme, že zajatcov nečaká žiadny súd a trest, ale rovno ich všetkých postrielajú. Trošku nekompormisné ale vo svete, v ktorom sa The Last of Us odohráva je bohužial taký. Dvaja chupáči si užívajú radovánky až do smrti a niektorí ľudia skapú v masívnych množstvách na mieste. Taký krutý je svet The Last of Us. Ale späť ku deju piateho dielu. Už z konca predošlého dielu sme vedeli, že producent opäť zmenil kanón hry a urobil zo Sama hluchonemého chlapca. Nevadí, nie je to podstatná zmena, ale ako vidím ako sa dej odvíja v tomto diely, neočakávam ani útek pred paramilitaristickou skupinou ani návštevu podzemia pittsburgu, prípadne side misiu kde by sme možno uvideli tajomnú postavu Isha z hry.

Následne zistujeme, že henry uvidel Joela už počas toho ako Joel s Ellie havarovali s autom po konflikte so skupinkou tej paramilatiristickej skupiny a následný kontakt v apartmáne nebol až tak prekvapujúci pre henryho. Po celkom podarenej vtipnej interakcii vďaka Joelovi sa zoznamujú a zistujeme, že sú to len obyčajný kolaboranti a ktým ma Joel pochopiteľný odpor. A taktiež sa dozvedáme že sú už skoro na polke cesty v Kansas City a nie v Pittsburgu ako som sa mylne domnieval. Tým pádom absencia hunterov nahradená paramilitaristckou skupinou odboja je plauzibilná.

Predsa len nadvaznosť na lokalitu Pittsburg z hry je zakomponovaná do tohto dielu, akurát je lokalita v seriály úplne iná, čo dosť divné. Ale milé že nezabudli na Dannyho a Isha z hry, použili dokonca rovnakú omalovánku z hry. Táto časť ma potešila a asi prvý krát od začiatku seriálu. Pôsobilo to celé celkom hodnoverne aj rozhovor v podzemí aj dôvod prečo je vlastne hľadaný tak vehementne skupinkou, ktorá zvrhla fedru. Fakt, že sme sa nedozvedeli v podstate absolútne nič nové o Ishovi ma troška sklamalo.

Medzitým si Kathleen vyzliekla kabát a je to teda pekná puňka. Jeffrey Pierce je neskutočný sympaťák a má parádny hlas. Škoda, že casting ho neobsadil do dole brata Joela, teda Tommyho ale na takúto nepodstatnú pozíciu, nejakého pobočníka ochechuľe obéznej. Mimochodom aj Troy Baker, hlas Joela z hry hraje rolu, ktorá určite nebude po chuti nikomu. Hlavne keď zistíte, že je v podstate jedným z pobočníkov kanibalistickej skupiny hunterov Davida. Ale o tom potom.

Piaty diel prekvapivo pokračuje podľa scénára hry, aj keď je lokácia iná a odohráva sa to v noci a opäť s dosť podstatne pozmeneným scénárom, ktorý bol na jednu stranu nezmyselne napísaný no ku koncu to bolo aj celkom akčné, kde sa zase potvrdila moja hypotéza, že infikovaný boli v podzemí. Ako ale prežili celé tie roky nikto nevie asi sa navzájom cuckali a hryzkali. Ale srandu bokom, celá táto pasáž bola asi najlepšia za celý poondiaty seriál od odtrhnutia hlavy Tommyho Bloaterom, po rozsápanú puňku Kathleen, kde sme prvý krát videli infikované decko, ktorá dokáže skočiť 10 metrov z miest ako nejaký netopier krížený so žabou na steroidoch.

Celkovo veľmi podarený diel, konečne to má grády aké to malo mať už začiatku. Nechápem prečo je ten akcie v seriály tak málo, rozpočet na to do boha majú tak prečo je tej akcie v seriály len tak sporadicky málo...Je to takmer nepochopiteľné, lebo akčné scény sú vydarené, aj keď nie úplne na špičkovej úrovni ako by som očakával.

Nevadí, tento diel mal grády, zápletku aj vyvrcholenie a ešte k tomu sa scénarista držal ako tak originálnych herných kolají. Za mňa 8/10, podarený diel, KONEČNE… Expand
