Summary: Morticia is afraid that Lurch is being overworked and Gomez comes up with an idea to ease Lurch's workload. Gomez builds Lurch an assistant, a robot named Smiley. Lurch quickly trains Smiley, however, having Smiley around goes to Lurch's head and he quickly begins having Smiley do all the work with Lurch does nothing but command orders.
