Summary: For seven years since it began, Germany’s Inter City Express trains, ICE, had never had an accident before. However, on the 3rd of June, 1998, the super-fast, state-of-the-art ICE 884 derailed near Eschede, while traveling at a speed of 200km/h. The train was on its way from Munich to Hamburg, when it careened off its track.
