The Fires of Pompeii might be the most effective Tenth Doctor story that no one talks about. The location is one that should have been used years ago in the show (but I'm happy it wasn't), and this rare depressing approach to time travel brilliantly shows us Donna's empathy and the Doctor'sThe Fires of Pompeii might be the most effective Tenth Doctor story that no one talks about.
