Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain is a fresh start for the series, with several improvements in terms of graphics and gameplay but the same focus on linear, repetitive missions you won't fight alone.

Akimbot is a Ratchet & Clank indie that is cheap and worth its price, but only if you are really big fans of the genre and can't wait to get back to shooting and jumping around while waiting for a new chapter to come from Insomniac Games. Of course, don't hold out hope for the quality of the source material and especially don't have high hopes for the story and characters. There are various flaws and no matter how much heart Evil Raptor put into the project we struggle to suggest Akimbot to everyone.

Secret Files 2 gives to the player 20+ hours of fun adventure gameplay and brilliant puzzles. And more than this it can introduce a few of innovative aspects to the genre that the veterans will love.

A "hardcore game" exclusively on Wii? Spyborgs is a old-style beat'em-up with something less than Final Fight or Captain Commando, since you can't collect weapons, there are no holds and no robots to control. The graphics are nice and there are some interesting extras to keep you play once you finish the main mode. Played with a friend, it's a lot of fun.

Touch Racing Nitro is an arcade game that could be a good alternative of a traditional racing game, but the pretty and colored graphics can't hide the problematic control scheme and the gameplay incoherencies. It's not possible to play quick race, only tournament or time trial: this limitation is not acceptable for an iPhone game.

Go Vacation is no doubt one of the best family games for Wii, thanks to its open world gameplay and the fifty minigames included. You can reach the place of your next activity by riding an ATV or a waterbike, and play with up to three friends via split-screen, and that's cool. What's not-so-cool is the overall quality of the minigames themselves, since some of them are boring.

Conduit 2 is anything but a bad game, but its single player campaign is way too short and dull, with a clear lack of personality in terms of graphic style and level design. There are lots of funny multiplayer modes, however.

The Battle for Hoth is certainly one of the best Star Wars games on the App Store. However, with poor graphics and the unjustified absence of John Williams' traditional scores, THQ Wireless has failed again in the attempt to offer a great Star Wars experience to iPhone users.

Cargo! – The quest for gravity is hard to judge. Someone could be tempted to tear it apart for its production flaws, but in all it's a good and creative game.

Metroid Prime: Federation Force is strongly co-op oriented, as the single-player experience quickly loses its appeal. The missions are varied enough but the level design structure rewards participation. Classic elements belonging to the main saga are almost absent, while the Blast Ball mode is just a disappointing clone of Rocket League.

Shadow of the Beast is a fine budget game who respect the original one with some interesting variations. The combat system is nice, but repetitive, the visuals are good, and the finale could have been more rewarding, but if your are seeking for nostalgia you're in the right place.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Sweep the Board! is a very simple party game that must be played with friends: it's the only way to really appreciate the experience and turn a blind eye to the actual quality of the minigames.

Whoever fell in love with Phantasy Star Universe will certainly like this porting, for better or for worse. The franchise however needs nowadays a severe update to be more attractive: combat is definitely out-of-date and gameplay becomes repetitive soon despite of the multiplayer mode. Nevertheless, fans of the genre or the series will like this portable installment of their favourite dungeon-crawling.

Apache: Air Assault is, in many ways, a "hardcore" title: your helicopter is really difficult to control, especially at the beginning; by the way, this approach delivers a lot of satisfaction when you success to perform some nearly perfect assault maneuvers.

The Wii version of Driver: San Francisco has nothing in common with the excellent game developed by Ubisoft Reflections on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. This is rather a classic episode of the series, with the same old gameplay, cumbersome controls (and you can't customize them in any way) and mediocre graphics.
