If not the ultimate pirate game, Skull and Bones is a good naval battle game that has arguments to make you want to get involved. So no, here, no third-person action phases: the adventure takes place almost exclusively on the waves, and once the element of surprise has passed, the qualities of Ubisoft's service game are revealed. The seven seas of the Indian Ocean are the subject of a solid atmosphere and technique, and the battles on the open sea are a real success. So, you may be struggling to get to the endgame, due to a fairly redundant progression, but believe us, the price is worth it. In short, a good surprise, far from the shipwreck that some saw on the horizon.

Even if it has a nice feeling, Space Junkies never takes off because you’re facing PC players using mouse and keyboards, with a controller. But the most hardcore FPS fans might take some pleasure while playing it.

Chocobo GP has good potential that would benefit from being refined in order to reach the podium of the great Mario-Like race.

If State of Mind is slow, it’s only because it takes the proper amount of time to unfold its world and story. Gameplay may be a bit limited but there are so many good ideas about the concepts it evokes that you can’t help but love it.

Despite being just another walking simulator with a touch of digging around, The Station provides an interesting story featuring solid voice actors, and a great finale.

Technically out-dated, The Lost Child is too clumsy and not enough challenging to generate a single spark of interest. Fortunately, the characters and story are compelling, which may seduce some players.

Saints Row is not really what we can call a total reboot of the saga, but rather a soft-reboot: it is very similar to Saints Row The Third which, even if appreciated, is nonetheless ten years old. In fact, this is felt and this new adventure is still struggling to impose itself through its technique, its gameplay or its creativity which remain anchored in a certain immobility despite some novelties: it is however a game of effective action that never takes itself seriously, rather funny and with damn generous content, which we can never blame him for. Volition finally delivers Saints Row 3 with far-west sauce, which remains appreciable without breaking three pieces of dough for a gunslinger.

Pokémon Masters is a good pick for any Pokéfan waiting for Shield and Sword. Even if the story isn’t that interesting, it has some good gameplay ideas and MXT doesn’t feel forced at all.

We’re still wondering why Salary Man Escape is a VR game. But that’s not a real problem. Tricky physics and useless and an annoying timer are one. Nonetheless, there are actually some good puzzles in that game.

An old-fashioned Lovecraftian action-adventure game rather than frenetic Survival Horror, Alone in the Dark allows itself an interesting re-imagining of the founding episodes. Nostalgia unfortunately collides with obsolescence: even the hardcore fan of the license will have difficulty getting past systems that are too archaic. We would have appreciated that, freed from the chains of AAA with huge budgets and the need to necessarily do better than its competitors, the Pieces Interactive title tried more things, did things differently, allowed itself a certain radicality. It is not so. An adventure with a capital “AA”, imperfect in its substance as in its form, but sincere in everything it undertakes.

From the outset, we cannot welcome the bet launched by The Diofield Chronicle. Carried by divine music and gameplay as ingenious as it is interesting, the Square-Enix game is undeniably generous. Regulars of the genre and lovers of tactical role-playing games risk succumbing to its "retro" charm and its various incantations. Rhythmic, pleasant and more surprising than it seems, The Diofield Chronicle struggles to keep up the pace over time. The objectives are repeated, the free phases do not bring much and the staging lacks the energy to widen its audience. Nevertheless, for those who want to discover something other than the usual blockbusters and who is not hermetic to the genre, here is a work that could become cult in a few years or, at least, find its letters of nobility among enthusiasts.

While it is not a bad game, Empire of Sin is sometimes disappointing in that it fails to give shape to complementary ideas that could have been good. If the first hours in the game are rather pleasant and that we take pleasure in growing his empire of crime, once the management mechanics are assimilated, the game goes on autopilot. In addition, he proves too unconvincing in his fights, conventional, sometimes buggy and which often seem interminable, because too repetitive and not very nervous. Not uninteresting then, but not as balanced or entertaining as one would have hoped.

Despite a nice and complex scenario, and a quite original concept, The Occupation has many flaws, from many technical issues to an imperfect AI. Most players won’t see all the different endings because of this.

Destiny 2 : Warmind failed to deliver a compelling campaign and rushes its storyline in less than a couple of hours. Nevertheless, it adds a cool new end-game PvE event and many quests, which were eagerly expected by fans.

Bloodlines 2 has undeniable qualities: its rich world, its political intrigue, its immersive atmosphere, and some vampiric powers offer real moments of pleasure. But the game multiplies good ideas that it executes poorly and, in this sense, is neither a good RPG nor a good action game. It's a mixed experience that, despite solid writing, suffers from rather poor level design, minimal progression, and low-impact choices, tarnishing the full potential of an otherwise promising sequel. Bloodlines 2 gives the impression of a game rushed out, which did not fully exploit what its flamboyant universe had to offer.

We would have imagined it more as free-to-play, this Quidditch Champions. Rather faithful to the universe in terms of artistic direction, the game at least has the merit of correctly rethinking the rules of the broom sport to make them much fairer on the screen. On the other hand, the positions are cruelly unequal, the matches frankly chaotic and the game runs out of steam after just a few hours. Unbroken Studios still needs to make many adjustments to make its experience a must-have for Quidditch.

Thanks to its simple formula, Warhammer: Chaosbane is an easy-to-play hack’n’slash, but it really lacks some more variety. This game is not aimed at the big lootheads but to a more casual audience, and it shows.

Planet Alpha is a nice little platformer, well-paced and full of poetry. There are some glitches though, and all these colours are sometimes overloading the screen, thus the action can be chaotic at times.

After very good first hours of play, Call of Cthulhu dries itself with few interactions and poor stealth sequences. The Lovecraftian atmosphere is here though, which may appeal to whomever can indulge the game’s many flaws.

Gods Will Fall is steeped in good ideas, but would have gained a lot by taking them further. Equipped with an effective artistic direction, unique bosses and dungeons, and a link mechanic that works, the game manages to make us want to play and replay in order to meet the proposed challenge, and manage to defeat the ten deities present. The proposed experience is therefore pleasant, and the studio really holds something. Sadly, Gods Will Fall constantly seems on restraint, leaving a lingering impression of superficiality and repetitiveness.
