Maquette is an intense love story mixed with Esher-esque puzzles. Short, not perfect but original and sweet.

Pokémon Unite is a rather fun free-to-play MOBA that, however, suffers from significant balance problems and an overly aggressive business model.

An ultra-violent beat 'em up with a very challenging difficulty level and smart combat.

A well crafted tower defense, with nothing particularly innovative gameplay-wise.

Beyond: Two Souls is the natural evolution of Heavy Rain, an epic adventure game with a great script, awesome dialogue and rock solid characters. Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe have done a splendid job acting for this game and David Cage has created an excellent title adding cool gameplay features to the Heavy Rain experience.

Mercenary Kings is not only one of the best indie games released so far this year, but also a great retro-hardcore-experience filled with tons of content.

Kryptois back in this remake of the original 2005 game that still delivers a quite entertaining '50s old-gen TPS experience with an all new level and the predictable aesthetic lifting.

No Place for Bravery is a promising gory action soulslike with Sekiro-esque combats and some pretty good chunks of gameplay but also balancing issues and some annoying bugs.

Omega Force's Musou series meets Royal Rumble. The result is another chaotic, repetitive but entertaining experience with a lot of charismatics guest stars.

Coming from the Prof. Layton school, Puzzle Agent is a good experiment as for the artistic direction but it lacks in is most important part, the puzzles. More inspired riddles and a bigger attention in its development could given life to a better game. A sufficient start for the series, though.

Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate is the definitive edition of the fourth chapter in the Omega-Force series.Rich in content but sold at a high price, it could be the best time to experiment this bizarre but fun cross-over.

Mario Golf: Super Rush shoot another star in the never-ending career of Nintendo's mascotte. The game is perfectible and maybe its flow needs some tee lessons from Hot Shot rival, but surely is another entertaining piece of software.

The Gunk is a fun and engaging indie title with a simple and addicting gameplay. The environmental puzzles are many and always different, well implemented within the experience.

H.A.W.X.2 is a good game that tries to change something in the dogfight genre. Some missions are really different from standard, and the multiplayer is really nice, both cooperative and competitive.

It's magic, it's a fable and it's a dream, but The Whispered World is also a nightmare for its bugs in the Italian version that compromise an adventure that, otherwise, would be one of the most interesting of the year.

Homefront is a good game, capable of entertaining the fans of the FPS genre only for a short period of time in singleplayer. The overall quality of the multiplayer is good but it's clear from where Kaos Studios took the inspiration, and it's not able to surprise us with entirely fresh new ideas.

Virtua Tennis shines of the light of the original one. Too many problems for the single player and a lack of courage by Sumo Digital keep it in limbo.

Pathologic 2 is an exceptional and very bad game in equal parts, a title that for modern judgment can be considered only a mediocre game but, despite its numerous problems, deserves at least one chance to show what it can offer.

For a fistful of bucks you will receive a surprisingly good-old-fashioned-tactic-RPG that deserves all of your attention.

After 24 years, Romancing SaGa 2 finally comes to the West with a few add-ons and a subtle graphics restyling. This is an old-school RPG which offers a different take of the classic formula, building the progression system around the skill points instead of the experience. This is surely not for everybody, but if you can live with heavy grinding, high difficult curve and laggy controls, this game could really entertain you for several weeks nowadays, still.

At the present time, Cities XL is an ambitious but incomplete product that will surely need further work from Focus Home Interactive to reach proper quality standards. The game experience is in fact fun and challenging but also limited in many ways, proving unable to create real commitment from the players.

Circus Electrique is like a juggling show not perfectly balanced. The narrative idea works fine and the Tactical RPG/Management mechanics are all in the right places but some gameplay elements slow down the pace and the entertainment factor.

In an era where players still get amazed by the superficial damages of covers, Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered remains an exceptional escape from the ordinary, having the power to stimulate the demolishing fantasy of whoever wants to give it a chance. On the other hand, for those who have already razed all the buildings on Mars in 2009, it would be better to focus on something else.

Project X Zone is a crazy japanese cocktail where characters from a huge number of popular games interact in funny ways. Its gameplay is interesting at the beginning but loses appeal after a few hours, the final experience anyway is good enough. If you love japanese games, just buy it and be happy.

The Sims 4 has solid foundations. We love the new focus on the Sims but we can't understand why there's a loading for every damn house, when The Sims 3 was a little open world.
