Beautiful Desolation is an isometric adventure that makes wanderlust, cutscenes and visual art its strongest and stunning points. Enigmas and dialogues are surrounded with weird, tribal-punk and futuristic vibes. The gameplay brings some of the issues of oldest point-and-click-games: vagueness and backtracking. Anyway, the overall experience is magnificent, non-linear and original.

Apart from a few technical issues and a gameplay that might be hard to master for many, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Reflex Edition proves to be a good product, whose qualities, very similar to the PS3, Xbox 360 e PC versions, will surely guarantee hours of fun to the whole Wii user base.

Hangar 13 packs the perfect remake, suspended between innovation and tradition.

With Uprising Treyarch has tried to create something different from the usual Call of Duty's Map Pack, but the final result is not that good. Two out three new maps don't show the best level design around and one is a remake from the first Black Ops. 1200 MPs is too much for a single, very good, multiplayer map and for a great new zombie experience.

Axiom Verge 2 is an unexpected and greatly enjoyable evolution of the first game, more focused on exploration than combat. It's the second step in Thomas Happ's ambitious sci-fi universe.

Miasmata is a compelling adventure, an incredible survival experience, something so good that it seems incredible to be done by two people.

Pokkén Tournament is a really entertaining fighting game for both casual and pro players. Nintendo and Bandai Namco have done a great job creating a new and interesting mash-up between 3D brawlers and classic 2d fighting games.

DeathSmiles is a brutal shooter with pretty (but a little bit dated) visuals, solid gameplay mechanics and a short life span. If you're an hardcore fan of Cave games and you're searching for another tough challenge, this is the SHMUP you were waiting for.

When Tetris meets the most diabolical competitive puzzle-game dynamics, the result is probably the most addictive puzzle game available in the PlayStation Network. Call some friends, get a Move and kiss your social life goodbye.

Carry the body of your deceased King around the world in search of a place for eternal rest, while his ghost will only grumble, in this funny and relaxing cooperative game.

Werewolves Within is one of the best games currently available for VR. Immediate and fun, it is a perfect board (video)game for anyone.

It’s difficult to not recommend Flipping Death, a true lifesaver in this hot August. With a simple but not trivial gameplay, Zoink’s new game gives the best chance to play the role of a less terrible Death, committed to helping the crazy characters of an insane world and to solve one hell of a mystery.

The Surge 2 doesn’t look well aged. The gameplay is basically the same of the first chapter, and graphics are somehow worst. At least farming is enjoyable, and the bosses represent a real challenge.

Assassin's Creed: Syndicate is a great game, but the series' narrative has become a big issue to deal with. Ubisoft should find the courage to create awesome games with no bonds at all with the templars vs assassins stuff.

After three years YO-KAI Watch has been finally released in Europe. Despite its age the game is still good and the Italian localization does a great job in turning a deep Japanese experience into something entertaining for a very different audience.

So, here’s the plan: invite your friends over, order some take out, crack open a cold one and have fun! Super Mario Party offers a wide variety of (generally) fun minigames, more than enough game modes and a couple of interesting ideas on how to use both the Joy-Cons and Switch’s features. It’s a great party game that will entertain the seasoned gamer and the newcomer as well.

The usual, beautiful Mario & Luigi. The innovations introduced by this chapter are enough to infuse a bit of variety to the adventure. For the rest, it is the usual great mix of action, platform and RPG.

A weird but interesting hybrid that mixes RTS, RPG, board game and trading card game mechanics in one delightful experience. Unfortunately, even if the mix works, the singular gameplay components aren’t deep enough and the game itself is mined by many minor issues.

A surprisingly good and solid FPS from Raven Software. Time travels and manipulations, Russian setting, tons of bullets and a little touch of horror make Singularity an entertaining trip... maybe just a little too short!

MAG is a real team-based tactical FPS that requires co-operation, dedication and discipline. It's a game for mass combat but not for the mass market. Once you have this very clear in your mind, the choice to buy it is only yours.

Deponia Doomsday is a humorous nonsensical narrative-based point & click adventure that will challenge players to understand its absurd world, figuring out puzzles and minigames. If you are into these kind of odd themes, it could well be a very enjoyable trip. Else, your mileage may vary.

An interesting combination between an RPG and a management game. Artistically very valuable, the gameplay reveals a repetition that in the long run makes the adventure a bit boring.
