The gallery on this page contains the lowest-scoring films released in the United States between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2022. (#1) Anyone yearning for the bygone "skinimax" era of softcore erotica airing late at night on cable TV need only to browse Netflix. The streamer's most notorious film in the genre so far is probably the 2020 Polish feature 365 Days, which pushed the limits of the definition of "softcore" (and maybe of the laws of physics and kinesiology) while also offending many critics for reasons that didn't include nudity (but did include quite a bit of misogyny).
In April, that film received its first sequel, 365 Days: This Day, which expanded the 365 Days Extended Universe to include, well, more of the exact same ingredients: sex, exotic locations, more sex, and virtually no plot or character development. The locations are indeed nice. The sex scenes? As IndieWire's Kate Erbland writes, "They’ve got more in common with 'Team America: World Police' than 'Fifty Shades,' repetitive and empty to the point of being laughable."
A second sequel, The Next 365 Days, streamed in August, and the only reason it isn't here too is that critics couldn't bring themselves to watch it. (Well, they didn't write about it, at any rate.)
