Microsoft's open-world racing franchise returns with a 50% bigger environment than 2018's Forza Horizon 4—an expansion allowed by Microsoft (and its Playground Games studio) taking an extra full year to work on the newest installment. This time, the setting is Mexico, where you'll be able to drive through a diverse group of settings including jungles, cities, beaches, deserts, and even a snow-capped volcano. There will also be a huge list of vehicles available to race at launch across those 11 distinct biomes (and 599 roads), and those environments will vary with each of the four seasons (and shifting weather). In addition to a new single-player exploration mode called "Expeditions," Horizon 5 includes multiplayer competitions, while a new arcade mode scatters multiplayer minigames across the vast map.
The game will also be available on Game Pass on day one.
