The latest from director Keiichi Hara (Miss Hokusai, The Wonderland) is an adaptation of Mizuki Tsujimura's bestselling coming-of-age novel about the unlikely bonds that bring people together and give them strength. Kokoro, a shy girl who has been skipping school for weeks, discovers a portal in her bedroom mirror leading to an enchanting castle where she is joined by six other students. When a girl in a wolf mask invites them to play a game, they must work together to discover what unties them. This delicate film with an important message was nominated for Best Animation Film at the 46th Japan Academy Film Prize.
