Documentary miniseries debuts April 22 on Apple TV+
If Michael Jordan can get his own documentary miniseries, it's only fair that Magic Johnson gets one too. The Los Angeles Lakers great is the focus of a four-part Apple series from director Rick Famuyiwa that looks at his legendary playing career (which included championships in high school, in college at Michigan State, and with USA Basketball's first "Dream Team" in the 1992 Olympics) and also spends a considerable chunk of time on his busy life off the court. Johnson won five NBA championships with the Lakers in the 1980s, and he and his teammates are also the subject of HBO's current drama series Winning Time in which Quincy Isaiah portrays Magic for director Adam McKay.
