Absolutely brilliant. The whole movie, from the action, to the acting, to the classic cinematography of Zack Snyder and his captivating visual style, simply fantastic. 4 hours may seem like a daunting duration for a movie, but it really onlyAbsolutely brilliant. The whole movie, from the action, to the acting, to the classic cinematography of Zack Snyder and his captivating visual style, simply fantastic. 4 hours may seem like a daunting duration for a movie, but it really only feels like 2.5 hours. The character archs were all fully fleshed out. Moving story with emotional scenes and brilliant moments of comedic relief (side note, if you found the theatrical cut funny. Nearly 80% of the funniest moments were planned by Zack. None of that distasteful Whedon humour). This movie FINALLY did JUSTICE for aLL CHARACTERS! This is a beautiful testament to Snyder using every bit of that time to masterfully build the story. I write this review after having watched the movie twice.

I disliked Flash and Cyborg after watching the Whedon cut, but watching this ORIGINAL VERSION, I'm just deeply moved by their story, their humanity and love.

Right now, I carry the message of hope that this movie sends to its viewers. The DCEU will never be the same without Snyder. I pray for JL 2 and 3. There's SO MUCH MORE to be explored that was opened by this film.… Expand

To think that the “original” film could actually be this good. The movie itself is 8/10 but I cannot give it less than 10, I want to root for Zack and everyone probably will do the same after watching THE Justice League. Summit of superhero movies.
From the opening sequence of Superman dying along with doomsday to the Epilogue of the knightmare sequence with intensity of The Batman and The Joker.

Junkie_xl has done the job better than BvS with background score and themes playing in background with characters.
CGI are the usp of every superhero movie be it Avangers or watchmen.. This movie have some really cool and the best CGI I have ever seen and the battle of heroes is the best to watch.
Dialogues are few to be honest but they are atleast not humorous like the whedon did. Steppenwolf looked much scary and the armour suits him since its the same armour shown in BvS. DeSaad looked prity cool too, but Darkseid is what really made things scary. Would be very disappointed if it doesn't got any sequel since now The deathstroke got his enemy's identity too and since we have got to see what could be done with the possible sequal thru the hints of the death of Lois Lane and Robin in the knightmare sequence. The GreenLantern shown in the bettle of the heroes was too cool. Finally The Martian Manhunter.. I wish he was involved in the battle too but atleast we saw him as the captain Swanwick. So, my take on the movie is.. It's worth every penny and every second of ur time. I'm sure if u are a fan of comic book movies, u won't regret.… Expand

Horrible movie, it literally was almost like the first one but just 2 hours longer. Amazing just amazing. His vision is coherent with BvS and MoS. It flows perfectly throughout. For a 4 hour movie it paces itself great never leaving you bored and having each part is great for bathroom breaks

This fixed all the issues that came with the Whedon cut. Every scene was so more well thought out and gave us fans everything we wanted. That only leaves us with wanting more from the Snyderverse.

It is amazing how much better Zach's JL differs, and EXCEEDS Joss version. Absolutely one of the best comic movies made to date. Sets up an epic storyline set in the Knightmare DC Universe. Movie just plain sucks, it's no surprise it's 4 hours long with how little respect it has with the viewers time, with all the garbage slow motion, unnecesary closeups of mundane objects, wierd musical hero introductions, and tell don't showMovie just plain sucks, it's no surprise it's 4 hours long with how little respect it has with the viewers time, with all the garbage slow motion, unnecesary closeups of mundane objects, wierd musical hero introductions, and tell don't show dialogue I stopped at the two hour mark because I was so bored that barely anything happened, and the only thing to actually happen was this amazon vs Steppenwolf fight that's extremely similar to the original movie, and some olympic gods vs Darkseid mumbo jumbo. I am definitley not planning on seeing the rest of the movie.

Also, special mention the part where a little girl asks Wonder Woman if she can be like her, and she says something like, you can be whatever you want was so cringe and dumb, I get the cringe message they were trying to send but come on, of course you can't you dumb girl, she was born with damn super powers. It was so stupid

While I had hoped this movie's 4 hour runtime would mean a little bit more character development and setup than we got, It still is a really fun ride. I do not think its necessarily as thematically strong as something like BvS, which was already an overstuffed story, but here it is excusable given the sheer amount of characters needing introductions in this story. Given those constraints, the movie does a pretty good job. The first half can feel rather sluggish given the many slow motion scenes and the sequences of scenes may seem choppy, but once the movie starts to pick up, it REALLY picks up. Some of the coolest comic book movie moments occur with these beloved characters as the movie continues. Despite all of its flaws, I think this movie is guaranteed to entertain you, put a smile on your face, and make you feel for these characters. The runtime is a big deterrent to most people, and I do think there is probably a three hour version of this movie that is really well paced and still as strong in its character development and themes, but if you are on the fence, definitely give this movie a watch.… Expand

This is a completely different movie, a movie with heart. Great and solid story. Excellent performances. I thing is one of the best comic book movies of all time. I highly recommend this movie. Watching the 4 hour movie without pausing.

Is the runtime comically long? Yes. Is it worth every minute? Yep. Not only does this film contain the exceptional cinematography that we've come to expect from Snyder, but everything is wonderfully fleshed out in a slow burn that builds andIs the runtime comically long? Yes. Is it worth every minute? Yep. Not only does this film contain the exceptional cinematography that we've come to expect from Snyder, but everything is wonderfully fleshed out in a slow burn that builds and rises to an incredible crescendo by the final act. Everything is superbly executed here, from the consistent tone, the well-placed humor, the action (obviously), the performances, the character arcs and how everything weaves artfully together in the story. I only wish the runtime was more reasonable, so that it'd be easier for me to squeeze in second, third, and fourth viewings in the next couple of weeks. Yes, it was just that good. I couldn't be happier for Snyder that he was able to finally craft and present his vision, and I'm grateful that I was able to see it. Now, let's get this released in theaters!… Expand

First off; I am one of the few who enjoyed the original release but I always felt it was...lacking. It seemed “pieced together”. It seemed “pieced together”. It was “entertaining” but I always felt there were too many cutesy, Marvel wanna be scenes that it detracted from the depth that was available in these rich characters.
Not so, with the Snyder Cut.
There was so much in it that was, obviously, cut from the first version as a consequence of bad editing. I am not going to go into explicit detail. It would take too long. Suffice it to say; this is an entirely different movie from the theatrical release. There was a depth of background detail, character building and motivation that is unmatched in “comic-book” movies. The story development felt organic and well thought out. (Zack nailed it.)
Plus; the ending was completely, and wonderfully, modified, (ergo; different).
{I absolutely adored the Black Super suit!}
I was happy to see that Ray Fisher’s Victor Stone/Cyborg was incredibly (beautifully) fleshed out as a person and character.
The minor changes and myriad additions only added to the wonder that is the Snyder Cut. All of the actors are perfectly suited to their roles. A stand out, as in the theatrical release, was Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash. He brings just enough humor to the team without being the “class clown” they turned him into in the original version. Gal Gadot is so great as Wonder Woman, I love Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, Henry Cavill does make me “believe a man can fly” and Ben Affleck...what can I say? He IS the Batman. I could watch his Bruce Wayne in a dozen films. (Jeremy Irons is a wonderful addition to the Pennyworth legacy as well.) The cameos/revelations were great and well placed in the story.
My final word is; this is the way it should have been released the first time around. At 4 hours/2 minutes it is long but worth every minute. Not a piecemeal film trying to emulate a cartoon from the 70’s but a film that stands on its own merits as a drama first, a character study second and an action movie/superhero movie third.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I can't believe it, but it's finally here. The Snyder Cut.

First things first, it is drastically different from the 2017 theatrical release, and is mostly better, too. For a whopping 4 hours of runtime, the pacing keeps up well, and time flies by fast. While the Whedon/WB version looked like a clumsy awkward mess, the Snyder Cut is a well-structured, coherent, and a truly epic spectacle. While most characters used to lack backstory or motivation, now every Justice League member has a plotline and some character development (maybe less so Wonder Woman). The Flash, while still a comic relief, is much less annoying, and is equally more powerful, showcasing some really impressive abilities. The added Knightmare scene is just flawless, Batman and Joker's tense dialogue is gripping and leaves you wanting for a Batfleck movie along with a JL sequel. Junkie XL's score is also miles ahead of Danny Elfman's self-copying forgettable garbage heard in JL 2017.

Now for the critical part. In my opinion, ZSJL retains three problems from the theatrical cut.
First, the Batman is watered down, and is not the same character we saw back in Batman v Superman. While the original Batfleck was angry, focused and visceral, this one lack self-confidence (Absolutely pathetic scene where he touches hands with Diana), his signature readiness for anything (He doesn't have a plan in the tunnel?), fighting skills (In BvS he engaged a good dozen of thugs. Now he does painfully slow roundhouses, and gets his butt kicked by a random parademon), and overall credibility (His whole suicidal aspect and the obsession to do right by Superman is not enough for my suspension of disbelief to handle). The fact that Affleck, a sorry drunk at the time, looks to be in much worse shape than in BvS, also doesn't help sell his character.
Second, the villain, Steppenwolf, is underwhelming. While more menacing and better-designed than his PS2-videogame-looking original counterpart, he is still overshadowed by Darkseid, and is nothing but a filler bad guy.
Third, Superman is overpowered compared to the rest of the League. The idea of the five of them being incapable of winning over some insignificant villain, while Superman can fly in, not even flinch after a strong hit with Steppenwolf's axe, and just own him in a couple of minutes really undermines the worth of the team.
Oh, and the bonus one - the idea that a bunch of women armed with spears and swords are seriously trying to defend an important artefact from alien invaders, and that they haven't improved their arms and technology in the last 5,000 years in the least bit, is still laughable.

There are some new downsides, too. The movie sports quite a bit of flab that could be cut down entirely, like a lot of scenes with Lois, some long exposition shots, or the Martian Manhunter scenes. He doesn't play any role in the plot whatsoever, is only thrown in there as a fanservice teaser, and even ruins a scene where Martha Kent consoles Lois, as knowing that it was actually him is kind of weird and off-putting.
There are also scenes that overdo it with violence and killing, like WW butchering a few terrorists in front of the captive children's eyes, and one of them asking if she could be like her when she grows up. I don't mind superheroes killing, but this was a bit of a stretch.

A lengthy review of a lengthy movie. Despite the flaws, I still enjoyed Zack Snyder's Justice League immensely, and more so than its predecessor. Its release is a fascinating and uplifting precedent, and I congratulate both the director and the fans on this victory. The question is what happens next? #RestoreTheSnyderVerse… Expand

Really really happy to see a good DC movie after a very long time. Zack’s vision is the true vision & DC doesn’t have to follow Marvel. If they can continue with Zack’s vision it is going to be very successful.

In my opinion the Snyder Cut is amazing Superhero story, which shows the best scenes of every iconic dc hero. The runtime of 4 hours seems to be to long but because of intense and stunning scenes the four hours are the perfect choise for this movie. Amongst the best super hero movies of all time. I thought i would be skipping scenes to watch what was new in this version and i ended up watching every second.
