As a lifelong fan of superheroes and comic books, this is the Justice League film I have been waiting for. Zack Snyder ups the ante with much more high octane action sequences, a layered plot with grave consequences and high stakes that leadAs a lifelong fan of superheroes and comic books, this is the Justice League film I have been waiting for. Zack Snyder ups the ante with much more high octane action sequences, a layered plot with grave consequences and high stakes that lead to a jaw dropping cliffhanger of an ending making you long for more. Yet the best parts of the film are the character moments, the team building, the mini-arcs and the time taken to flesh out each character. Ben Affleck continues to prove he is an excellent Batman/Bruce Wayne. Not only does he look like he walked right off the pages of the comics, he perfectly taps into that Bruce Wayne psyche whether it is the tortured soul, the tactical leader, or the charismatic yet enigmatic billionaire. Gal Gadot continues to show that not only does she embody Wonder Woman, she IS Wonder Woman. Jason Momoa is a badass and just the perfect pick for this iteration of Aquaman. Ray Fisher's Cyborg is the heart of the movie with a great backstory and character that the character truly deserved. Ezra Miller also shines this time around as The Flash with his involvement being much much more than the measly comic relief of the 2017 version. Henry Cavill IS Superman, and man was it great to see him back...in black! Please WB do not lose the greatest Superman actor of our time! Our villain Steppenwolf is now a menacing force to be reckoned with, but a villain that you actually learn about and understand. Not simply a generic conquerer. Speaking of conquerer, move over Thanos...Darkseid has arrived. Darkseid the king of DC villains, the Lord of Apokolips has made his film debut and it is fantastic. As a DC fan who tweeted the hashtag #ReleasetheSnydercut frequently, I am extremely happy with this movie. Furthermore, this should be a lesson to WB to trust in your filmmakers...you were sitting on an incredible piece of film for over three years but your own meddling nearly prevented this from seeing the light of day. It damn-near derailed the franchise back in 2017 with the incredibly sub-par theatrical cut we received. Man of Steel was an incredible debut for Henry Cavill's Superman and a fantastic modern day introduction of the character. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (ultimate edition!) is in my opinion one of the greatest comic book movies ever made and criminally underrated. Now, Zack Snyder's Justice League serves as an exclamation point for the thesis that is Zack Snyder's DCEU. Snyder envisioned a 5 film DC saga with Superman as the nucleus of the saga, here's hoping that Mr. Snyder can continue his DC saga. #RestoretheSnyderverse… Expand

Just finished watching the Snyder Cut. I'm glad that he was able to actually release his original cut. It's renewed my faith in the DCEU after the box office bomb that was Whedon's theatrical cut. Let's start talking about the cyborg * Totally * huffed and puffed in this movie, I never saw this character like that ... cold, calculating and before Superman appeared he could easily be convinced that I was the strongest, I even thought it was strange. Superman kkkkkkkkk the man is totally the owner of everything, he has all powers, there is no competition against this guy ... everything is weak for him and I don't know how good this is, but I liked that after he appeared the film finally started walk. Flash ... speechless ... I took away the prejudice against this actor and character in this film, he really participated in the plot very well. Wonder Woman has a lot to talk about ... Batman was a surgeon did what he should have done but I still don’t wear his suit. Finally and less importantly aquaman who showed that he really only has muscles, because he doesn't even use his power during the final arc The villain found it very good! But as I said after Superman appears, the competition is over, he was nerfed in the end. The film was worth its 4 hours I liked the modifications made by zack snyder who convinced me that I could save this film.

It does improve on the original cut. The characters are much more fleshed out with proper backstories. However the pacing is just dreadful. 4 hours and it feels like it could have been cut down to 2.5 -3 hours.

В общем я думаю с ихним мнением уже давно никто не считается. и Я считаю что на лицевую страницу главную строку оценок нужно выводить не оценки критиков а оценки пользователей потому что критиков можно купить а пользователи нет.
Всем кто ещё не смотрел советую обязательно посмотреть! фильм уровня мстители война бесконечности снять в шикарной энергетике и стилистике DC. Они всегда были на фоне Marvel более мрачноваты.… Expand

Buy HBO Max just for this, if nothing else. This is one of the finest Superhero movie and nothing like the forgettable Joss Whedon's Justice League. Honestly I never write reviews like this, but on this occasion I really felt like I had to. The Snyder cut is superior to the Whedon cut on every single level of cinematography. The lighting is better. The shooting is more consistent andHonestly I never write reviews like this, but on this occasion I really felt like I had to. The Snyder cut is superior to the Whedon cut on every single level of cinematography. The lighting is better. The shooting is more consistent and never feels like it's making awkward jumps between the shots and missing important context. The soundtrack is more appropriate. The narrative actually holds itself together. The characters feel like actual characters now, and all contribute to the narrative and action in a meaningful way. We're also without all of Whedons grubby fingerprints this time around. No awkward Season One BTVS level dialogue when Superman and Lois reunite. No horrendous eye offending mess of CGI plaguing the finale and Henry Cavils face. No uncomfortable physical comedy, and no obviously hastily reshot scenes with an out of shape - and visibly very PO'ed at being dragged back from his vacation - Ben Affleck. And honestly it was painful seeing how badly Whedons cuts damaged the flow of the movie. The man literally butchered the scenes on Themyscara. Snyder absolutely knew what he was doing with the Amazons in his cut, and they really shine despite thier limited appearances. The film isnt perfect. Theres an overreliance on dream sequences, some shots can last uncomfortably too long, and some of the scenes setting up sequels we may never see come to fruition seem very forced in thier inclusion. The length is also very intimidating, and it does feel like the film could probably have shaved another half hour off at a push, but such is the consequence of a single film having to do the work of multiple origin movies and a crossover all at once. And the film is a very Snyder film. If you love his dark, washed out world aesthetic and action scenes that verge on being a love letter to 300, you're in for a treat. But if you arent a fan of that style, your mileage may vary. But the biggest takeaway compared to the Whedon cut was that I actually enjoyed watching this. There were scenes that genuinely touched me. Action scenes that were incredibly satisfying to watch. And a very clear love and respect for the source material shining through. It left me feeling optimistic that the DCEU may finally find its feet now, because in the right hands it evidently still has a lot to offer. So if you're a fan of DC, Snyder or just fun, satisfying action movies with some heart in its subplots, then you should really give this a chance. Yes the run time is intimidating, but that really doesn't matter considering its released on home streaming services. Get comfy, take a break I'd you need it and enjoy yourself. The film is split into several parts anyway, so you can treat it as a miniseries and watch it intermittently. It's honestly 4 hours well worth spending =)… Expand

Ignore the negative critics - all to a T are saying it's too long or, essentially, that they don't like this type of movie. Ignore them! It's a stone cold triumph, for Zack and the people that campaigned for it's release. Cyborg is super cool in Zack's JL, the heart and soul of the movie, Flash actually does something. IMO, this is the best DCEU movie, definitely worth watching. Even if it is 4 hours long, it is not boring, and does not feel that long and while saying that, I still think that Batman v Superman was one of the most boring movies I have ever seen :)… Expand

Second, although this movie is 4 hours long, I felt like the movie is fast-paced especially during the last hour and a half which is not very far from the 2017's version also the way it showed at the beginning that Steppenwolf was so overpowered then when superman stepped in he became very week, in other words, superman alone could have beaten Steppenwolf so easily. Amazing, epic.

Batman needs further development since we've never seen a true smart detective, dark and ominous looking batman character. But the rest of the film is a masterpiece.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I think in a lot of ways its plot is more sensible than Whedon's cut, but somehow structurally the worse movie. I don't think movies have to be under some sort of arbitrary time limit in order to be good, but I think if you make a 4 hour movie it should probably earn that runtime. Instead, Zack Snyder's Justice League is exhausting, with so many scenes especially early on that could've been cut at no loss to the narrative. Many characters have multiple "first introduction" scenes, and I think it's obvious that the first Flash and Aquaman scenes don't really work either emotionally or in the context of the rest of the film (that part where Barry brushes Iris' hair while he's saving her life is maybe the worst thing Snyder has ever made).

I think the story around the movie is endlessly interesting, though. So many glowing reviews seem to highlight the triumph of this film compared to Whedon's cut, probably due to the backstory around the two directors. Some comic based reviewers have stated how this is a movie made for them, but as a comic book reader (and DC fan particularly) I can't understand that. Maybe the best example is the Martian Manhunter scene, which takes place right in the middle of an important conversation and has no logic to it whatsoever. Is what people want out of comic book movies now really just fanservice? Snyder seems to think he's reinventing the wheel and making serious, thought-provoking comic book films, but in reality his films (his "true vision", even) have much less to say than Marvel's quick, snappy popcorn flicks. Have we come so far since the days of Adam West's Batman, only to settle in a desire for stories about the insanely powerful fighting otherworldly CGI monsters? DC comics and storylines in fact work the best when we zoom in on these literal gods to see their humanity, but ZSJL has an almost unflinching desire to stay away from that. The most we get is Cyborg using his powers to help an impoverished woman, or Wonder Woman saving a bunch of kids from terrorists. But this latter scene is undercut both by the obnoxious lamentation music the film plays every time Wonder Woman is on screen and her ultimate decision to end the conflict by nearly blowing up the building herself.

These are more nitpicky complaints, but man I really can't stand The Flash in this movie, and I unapologetically love the campy CW show. The movie is at its most exhausting either when its trying to be light-hearted or funny, or when it fully embraces the melodrama (that first Lois Lane scene is vintage Snyder). I can't tell whether it's better than Whedon's cut, but I do know I feel silly for sitting through either of them.… Expand
