This is not the one perfect movie. It has it's flaws and shortcomings, no questions asked. Don't get me wrong, it is vastly superior to the 2017 version. The villains and characters now have character arcs and are relatable, Steppenwolf's CGIThis is not the one perfect movie. It has it's flaws and shortcomings, no questions asked. Don't get me wrong, it is vastly superior to the 2017 version. The villains and characters now have character arcs and are relatable, Steppenwolf's CGI ins't from a playstation 2 game and it isnt littered will half baked forced jokes.
Maybe it was made under circumstaces that will never align again since it's free of identity politics and not constrained by a studio's restrictions that does neither understand the source material nor the people watching these movies and buying the merch.

But the sheer will power and persistence that were necessary on Skyder's behalf to make and produce this movie deserve all the praise possible. I enjoyed every minute of it's four hour runtime and I'm going to watch it again as soon as I can make time for it.
To me, it is by far the best DCEU Movie, period. Thank you Mr. Snyder. Very well done.… Expand

The fact that this has a 54 is baffling. The movie was amazing, it truly is a masterpiece. It's something we deserved in 2017. Warner Bros. You've got to continue Zack Snyder's legacy. It's what we need.

Watching this film I think you’ll find there was the bones of a great film in the 2017 version of Justice League that was butchered by Joss Whedon. The stuff he did that I hated was obviously not in this film. The stuff he did that I hated was obviously not in this film. But the stuff by Snyder that I thought was bad about the 2017 version was completely changed by simply fleshing it out further. 

The 3rd act, though largely the same, put way more emphasis on the unity of the team and how they needed to work together in order to win. This was much more satisfying after the character building over the course of the film, giving us appropriate backstories for Aquaman, Flash and Cyborg. 

Flash was still the source of comedy in the script, but wasn’t reduced to a joke. 
Zack has often said Cyborg was the heart of his movie and that couldn’t be a more true statement. 

Plenty of fan service while still giving the critics the lighter tone they were wanting, the film was always intended to be a step out of the dark from the characters low points in Batman v Superman, a film I think will be received better in the context of the character arc given with this film. 

The 4 hour run time didn’t feel like it wasted any time, but the at the film is neatly broken into chapters will be largely a good thing for mass consumption. This will be a good option for me wanting to rewatch the film on my break at work in parts in the future.

Cutting Ryan Choi from the 2017 edition of the film was a disgrace he is a gem.

Ultimately i’m going to need a few rewatches in order to decide where this film sits for me in the 3 story Superman arc Zack Snyder created, but that’s expected, there is a lot to digest.… Expand

Zack Snyder's Justice League is a movie that turned a film that was considered horrible into an epic of high proportion. So many problems from the old film was fixed and more depth was added to help make the movie more entertaining. The characters in the movie were given a good amount of screen time, enough for them to present themselves and us a reason to care for these characters. The flash and cyborg in my opinion were the biggest highlights of every scene as their characters were used to convey a strong message throughout the movie while also letting us know that we as people aren't alone and that I find to be very impactful especially during a time where most of the world seems to be divided. Just an impactful and beautiful film that I would mind rewatching every once a month. Thank you everyone who helped bring this joyful event and thank you Zack Snyder for giving us a film that will always be remembered and talked about. This original content makes several scenes in the movie have more context that the theatrical just ignored.
Cyborg having a real storyline was a pleasant surprise. I liked a lot of what they did with him, even if I seriously disliked his weird cgi skinny robot body.
The flash is a freaking BADASS in Synders version, and a joke in the theatrical. There are 2 scenes in the Snyder cut that Flash uses the speed force in such an amazing cgi wonder; that I honestly think the Flash scenes single handedly make the movie worth watching for.
There are still several plot/continuity problems with the series as a whole, but I can honestly say I liked this movie and want more.
After Man of Steel, I hated Snyder and what he did to Superman's backstory. After Batman V Superman, I thought he was a joke for ruining Batman, Lex Luther, AND Doomsday all in one film. This movie redeems him and his overall vision for me. I just hope if he continues anything in the DC universe, that it stays on par with this film and not it's predecessors.… Expand

The Snyder Cut is just as good as Civil War or Endgame, and almost as good as Infinity War. The Snyder Cut elevates the other movies in the Snyderverse by tying them together.

JL Snyder Cut brings together Man of Stee, BvS, WW, and even a less liked Aquaman movie and makes each individual part better than the original. It added depth to movies which were already completed and falling to obscurity with years of misdirection from Warner Brothers. WB fought for some reason so much against creating that shared universe, its a hard thing to do but rewarding for the studios and fans alike when it does happen. But it happened, after the fact, with a nudge from Snyder of some crazy fans. Instead of embracing this success, all-star cast, and years of already laid out compelling story archs, Warner Brothers is deciding to push ahead with reboots, and some random ass side stories without finishing the groundwork. Ok. After years of bragging about the next DCEU movie after all the rewrites and cancelations and failures, everyone who I spoke to who watched it was finally on board. Warner Brothers must have a vendetta against making money, or movies destined to become all time classics or both?… Expand

‘Zack Snyder's Justice League’ is a superior and more epic superhero league. It has got heart, unity, the feeling of being loved and belonging, and a sense of urgency, something that was sorely missed from the 2017 theatrical version. It has got heart, unity, the feeling of being loved and belonging, and a sense of urgency, something that was sorely missed from the 2017 theatrical version. It made me feel every moment from sympathy, sadness for characters, and fear for the villains. It’s a long movie, four hours and two minutes long, so there’s a lot to take in, a lot to unpack. A massive feast of superheros with heart and soul.

Snyder really dose understand these characters despite what others may say. He knows their strengths and weakness and utilizes it to its full potential. This is his vision, his take on these characters and you don’t always have to like his interpretation, but it’s something refreshing and complex. I hope he does get the opportunity to finish is trilogy as I am eager to see this story continue as he intended. I like Zack Snyder both as a filmmaker and a person because he seems like a cool guy that always gets hated on for the stupidest reasons.

Ben Affleck is charming and heroic as Bruce Wayne / The Batman, but Affleck himself looks more focused and healthier, unlike the 2017 theatrical cut. And yes, am taking up every opportunity to sh*t talk that movie. I found it interesting how they turned the darkest possible interpretation of Batman from ‘Batman V Superman’ into a hopeful Batman with goodness and faith restored in his heart. Gal Gabot is once again super awesome as Wonder Woman and has plenty of action sequences for her to shine, especially the Wonder Woman Saves London scene. Whenever Gabot or Affleck interact with Alfred (Jeremy Irons) were the most endearing parts of the movie.

Ezra Millers Flash and Jason Momoa as Aquaman are the more comedic elements of the movie. This is lighter in tone than the previous DC movies, but not too comical where it starts to become a comedy sitcom. The movie did a good job balancing light-hearted and seriousness when it comes to tone. Anyway, there both had more to do in this cut and had some memorable action scenes. The Flash is the real hero of the movie, especially with the fantastic final battle.

Henry Cavill returns as Superman, but this time clean-shaven. The character is the definition of cool and his involvement in the final battle of the movie was satisfying.

However, the real standout here is a character that originally in my 2017 review of ‘Josstice League’, I commented that he was the weakest link of the team. But man, they did Ray Fisher and the character of Cyborg dirty in the theatrical cut, because Cyborg's arc was most poignant this time around, given the personal loss and tragedy he suffered, and his integral relationship with the mother boxes. There’s one particular scene in this movie that brilliantly wins you over into loving the character, by using his powers to do a simple act of kindness. The scene perfectly captures who he is as a person by showing how he chooses to use that virtually unlimited power. Ray Fisher delivers an incredible performance! Also, shout out to Asian-American actor C Amanda Maud, who had her scenes removed in Whedon's cut, but has finally been restored and it’s the most heartfelt scene of the whole movie that never fails to make me feel emotional. She was truly terrific in her small role, and Cyborg is the heart of the movie!

A massive improvement this time around is the villain Steppenwolf, played wonderfully by the underrated Ciaran Hinds. The way he looks in design, with his spiky metal Armor makes him look more threatening. His voice is much darker and deeper. He is brutal, intimidating, dangerous, and poses a genuine threat that will require each member of the League to do their part equally. Also, the entire Amazonians Vs Steppenwolf scene was way better and more intense, as the struggle felt real and urgent. Despite being an unstoppable force, I like how they showed a more vulnerable side to him, which conveys to us through his large puppy eyes, and through Hinds performance that he is scared deep down, because there’s another evil villain lurking in the background, somebody much worse than him, and his name is Darkside, and while he doesn’t have too much screen time, but the way they build him up makes him look and feel menacing, and the actor who plays him, named Ray Porter, absolutely killed it in those little glimpses of chaos. I want to end this already long review with a special tribute to Autumn Snyder, and I want to tell you something important that you need to hear.

You questioned your worth in this life and wondered if it was worth living in it. Well, you were worth everything and much more. I believe her memory will live on in this cut. For Autumn.

And for those who are also questioning their worth in this life, my followers or strangers just passing through, you are worth a million. If no one is going to tell you that, then let me.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I don't exaggerate when I say that Zack Snyder's Justice League is my new favorite movie. My only complaint is that there wasn't enough Darkseid, but outside of that, there isn't really anything wrong with this movie to me.

To the critics who say the movie is too long, and say that the first hour of the movie is really sluggish, they are wrong, as I went through it really fast without realizing it. The movie is the perfect length for what it wanted to do.

There was even a surprise or two that got me really excited.

Pat yourself on the back, Zack Snyder. I hope the Snyderverse gets restored. This is easily your best work.… Expand

The chapter of this movie literally act like a big comic book arc issues which is contained development character, preparation, individual moment, and a war againts big evil dude. Safely to say that the story is much better than the theatrical cut especially in related to the Cyborg and Steppenwolf. The Final battle is much more majestic: Batman actually doing something this time around , Superman being badass (man he surely slain Steppenwolf), and we also get a glimpse of the Flash trademark Speedforce. Well, eventough the story is a big triumph, but it's not without it's flaws. There's a noticeable CGI Mess especially when Henry Cavill hold Lois Lane dead body during Cyborg's vision and I think there's a couple of scenes that should have been better, ex: It's more effective if the scene stop when Martha Kent had her eyes glow red for the sake of epilogue tease rather than being fully revealed as Martian Manhunter from the beginning it's kinda odd that if he exist then what is the satisfying explanation to give about Martian Manhunter absence during the fight againts Steppenwolf?

This movie felt ambitious from the start and it display a lot of Snyder's slow wo trademark, some people may not like the style and the length, but it's enough to satisfy a comic book enthusiast like me. And Yes, we want more.… Expand

While it is more entertaining than 2017s Josstice League, that's about all that ZSJL accomplishes. It is filled with even more plot holes than Whedon's theatrical release, only now there's a ton of unnecessary scenes that literally add nothing to the story and only add to the already long list of unanswered questions.

I don't mind the 4:3 aspect ratio. I don't even mind the long runtime. But I can't look past the glaringly obvious plot holes, uncomfortably drawn out & unnecessary scenes, or the jumbled editing & intermittently bad CGI. I won't even get into the tired slow-mo gimmick, or the terrible score/soundtrack.

I want to end by saying that I understand Zack suffered a tremendous loss only to have WB screw him over on top of it. But even if none of that happened and this was the movie we got to see in theaters years ago, I'd still have the exact same problems with it.… Expand

This is basically watching 2017 Justice league, difference is Steppenwolf has been taken from his roles to mostly being replaced be Darksied, graphically Steppenwolf was honestly a mess to look at and Darksied was not eye catching either. There's basically no variation in the storyline and to be quite Frank Zack Snyder destroyed the DC analogy. Superman with all his powers never actually saw the Colonel for who he really was??? This movie is honest to God lazy writing and a waste of one's time.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. After four years, Zack Snyder's original vision for the Justice League finally arrives and it does not disappoint. Despite its overly long runtime, the Snyder cut feels like a more cohesive film compared to the original cut. It takes the time to provide the much-needed back story on characters we are unfamiliar with. It completely overhauled the original plot all while utilizing a majority of the scenes from the original cut and raising the stakes by introducing an even stronger villain. The original plot for Steppenwolf to find the Mother Boxes still exists but a second subplot was created to entice Darkseid to make an appearance and put Earth on his radar, and this was the discovery of the anti-life equation. This new information helped to deepen the plot and add another layer to the simple race around the world to find the three Mother Boxes. Steppenwolf seemed to have the most drastic changes in the film in both appearance and motivation. This version of Steppenwolf is not only more menacing but has an added level of conviction because he is now portrayed as damaged and seeking redemption for his past failures.

After already being introduced to Batman & Wonder Woman, The original cut had a lot of ground to cover as it introduced us to three new heroes, Aquaman, Cyborg, and The Flash. Cyborg's story is integral to the overall plot as he and his father are directly connected to the human Mother Box, but the original cut just did not have the time to focus on his character growth, the same could be said about Aquaman and The Flash. A ton of new scenes are added to examine the backstory and shine a light on the development of both Cyborg and The Flash and allow us to connect with them on a deeper level. The Aquaman movie coming out in 2018, one year after the original Justice League cut, allows the Snyder cut to cheat a bit because we learned a lot about Aquaman in his two-hour movie, which I felt helped a great deal to the character development, much like all of the solo character movies before the Avengers.

The Snyder cut will go down as the biggest director's cut in history. Examining both films, side by side is truly beautiful and it shows how important editing is to a film. The third act produces a more engaging and emotionally impactful film compared to the original, even though it is made up of a majority of the same scenes, and this highlights the importance that editing has on the film.

Although I understand and appreciate the need to focus and develop characters, the lengthy runtime makes it a difficult film to watch often. The film would have benefitted greatly from a longer thought-out development process, which the MCU seemed to master. The only other negative takeaway I have is towards Zack Snyders's overuse of slow-mo sequences. Normally this wouldn't be an issue if used effectively, but there was an overabundance of it in the film, and after the halfway point, I became very aware of these sequences, and they became increasingly annoying. This is just nitpicking because the film is exceptionally well made and has an ending that is worth the 4 hour run time… Expand

Epic movie! A must watch for anyone that likes DC. They really did it, they gave us a movie that was worthy of the name. They gave the characters the depth they needed. Visually stunning and narratively satisfying from start to finish, it is not just best DCEU film of all time but also one of the best superhero film of all time...Joss whedon should be burned alive for butchering this masterpiece and ruining Snyder's vision in 2017..But true fans loves Snyder's epic vision for DCEU that's why they called out for this film in after whedon's disaster..Zack snyder delivered a perfect superhero film here,filled with some of the best visuals ever seen in a movie, eye popping effects, stunning cinematography, eargasmic soundtrack by junkie XL and breathtaking action scenes ZSJL is everything you ever hoped for and even more then it looks initially..This film proved again that Ben affleck and Henry cavill are best Batman and Superman of all time..Jared Leto as joker steals the show, steppenwolf is monster looking warrior from other world who just wants to invade earth for his own personal reasons, darkseid is an evil tyrant lurking in shadows of different side of universe..This film also works as an origin story for cyborg, he is struggling to find his place in the world torn apart between his human and mechanical identity... Batman became a hero again after spending years in rage and hate ,here he is a hero and leader who is honouring Superman after his death via defending this world, the killer vengeful version from BvS is long gone.. wonder woman is helping humanity and continuing her duty to defend the world.. flash is trying to be a hero who wants to help people and still learning about his powers...aquaman is also struggling between his human life and atlantean heritage as a king, and finally heart and soul of DC Superman...In mos we've seen an alien trying to find his place in the world,in BvS we've seen a conflicted hero who is struggling and finding how to be a hero.but in ZSJL we've seen a true Superman who finally became a hero and ultimate protector of earth .An ideal to strive towards...Even side characters like Lois,Martha,Silas,desaad,martian manhunter, joker got small but meaningful part...At last I just want to say this is the movie we've been waiting for our life....If you don't loved this movie don't call yourself as a DC fan....It's time to restore the snyderverse now because without ZACK SNYDER and a complete JUSTICE LEAGUE TRILOGY DCEU is nothing and will fail soon again...Only a full snyderverse on HBO max can save DC now.... This movie actually felt like a journey in which I didn't feel time pass. I watched it fully in an afternoon, and didn't feel bored for a second. The backstory of each character is so well fleshed out. As Snyder himself said - “All the arcs are there and completed.” Music selections are excellent. Joss Whedon butchered a masterful movie, I'm so glad we got to see the restored vision. Considering all the masterfully filmed deleted scenes, it looks like the overrated Whedon rolled dice in the cutting room. Tremendous contextual background was omitted from each character. Superman's death cry at the start sent chills down my spine. From then on actions move in rapid succession. The bank heist with Wonder Woman restored my faith in the fighting prowess, courage and sacrifice of the character, after the drivel of Ww84. The massacre of the amazons had really disturbed me before but this version was far harsher, brutal and savage. Newfound respect for the courage and spirit of the warrior women. Steppenwolf had been ridiculed in the previous abomination, here you can appreciate the true horrific majesty of this Uber demon. The first age battle was impressive but Darkseid himself was a disappointment. All the more reason to rue the vanishing of the old alliance. The moral quandary of cheating death and restoring superman was sufficiently explored. These are significant ethical concerns. Flash definitely stole the spotlight with smooth fast moves at all the right times, pun intended. We also finally see Batman at his combat prime as he takes on a legion of parademons alone, much like the gameplay we enjoyed in the Arkham series. The background of Aquaman is explored further, laying groundwork for his own movie later. And Cyborg’s arc was most poignant, given the personal loss and tragedy he suffered, and his integral relationship with the mother boxes. In the overall picture yes the movie did drag at 4 hours, but I was satisfied - very much like an endless 10 course meal - you have to finish to get the full experience, palate and variety the chef intended. It’s a shame a new controversy has erupted - to continue the Snyderverse or not. Even his detractors must admit - Snyder delivered a fully realized vision.… Expand

While not Perfect is the close! bring on Justice League 2, please! Infinitely better than the previous version. DC is not MARVEL! it's good to have a different tone. highly recommend, to all those that like the UNIVERSE of Man of Steel.

The heroes who were deconstructed in Snyder’s previous movies, are reconstructed here. During this long ride, the story builds naturally and there is time to invest in the characters. Every character gets his/her moment to shine multiple times, but Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) are standouts. The grand action set pieces and the small, intimate scenes are all feel at place, the pacing is perfect, the movie flows beautifully. This is Zack Snyder’s best film to date and leaves and other significant mark on the history of comic book movies. I can’t wait for the next chapter!… Expand
