Great CGI, I'm not sure why people are saying otherwise. The character building was pretty good. However, the forced scratchy voice acting by Ben Affleck as batman was weak. The movie was very character focused and driven with passion. It shows how much of a failure Warner had on their hands with the theatrical cut and shines as one of the greatest comic book movie epics shown in live action.

This film is truly a masterclass in filmmaking. While some parts in Snyder's true vision are little more than fluff that would have needed to be cut for a true theatrical release, the remaining film is epic in scale. Snyder's style doesn't work for everyone, but he knows how to treat characters with the mythical reverence they deserve.

If nothing else, this film's release is more a testament to the journey it took to get here. While fans of Snyder's version of DC Comics may not see much of his universe again, they can rest well seeing a complete story, a culmination of growth from Man of Steel to BvS to Justice League.

The movie made sense. 4 hours is what should be in first Justice League so it can make complete stories about character and what they come together as team. This version is a vast improvement over the Weddon version. The story plays alot better and the silly humor has been removed along with several scenes that just didnt make sense. Hopefully this universe will continue on!

Black and white shots with cuts that are asymmetrical and difficult to follow. The extra scenes present in this version are irrelevant and in my opinion lack artistic depth. Certainly much better than the version they put out before. The original version was a 2-hour mess and got 2 stars from me. Zack Snyder, who directed it, had to leave during post production after his daughter died. HBO let Snyder spend $70 million to create his version that clocks in at 4 hours! The plot doesn’t really matter: A group superheroes (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman and the Flash) joins forces to fight the latest universe-destroying villain. These movies are all about action and this one’s loaded. The dialogue is streamlined, character development gets a nod and there’s almost no humor (Ezra Miller’s Flash provided the few fun moments). This makes way for plenty of flashy, well-staged fights and spectacular, impressive effects. Snyder’s version is very different and much better than the original. Sure, it’s long, but just think of it as a 4-part series and strap in for superhero excitement.… Expand

For example, Bruce Wayne's post-credit nightmare scene feels like a set-up for a movie we most likely will never see due to Zack Snyder's complicated relationship with Warner Bros. In fact, most of the movie feels like a prequel to a much better movie. However, one thing Zack Snyder's Justice League improves is the characters, mainly Cyborg. Cyborg was an almost insignificant character in the theatrical release of Justice League, but in Zack Snyder's cut Cyborg becomes the emotional core of the movie. This movie's focus on characters is refreshing to see and is really the best part of this movie. However, decent characters can't make up for the mountain of mediocrity that this movie truly is.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie was a huge surprise for me and I'm not even a Snyder fan. Despite it being four hours, there wasn't a single moment where I got bored. Aside from the visual effect, the cinematography and action sequences, which are Zack Snyder's specialty, the characters, especially Cyborg, were greatly improved. They've been given arcs and have a purpose. Even the main villain was improved. Not only has a cooler look but even has a more character motives, and a backstory and a sympathetic goal that actually make me feel sorry for him. Aside from the main villain, seeing Darkseid was an absolute joy.
However, some of the issues I have so far are that this movie has too many slo-mo sequences, some unnecessary scenes like the singing in the beginning and hearing Wonder Woman's theme repeatedly and Martian Manhunter didn't really need to be in this film. Overall, this movie is not without its flaws but it's nonetheless a masterpiece, it's even better than Avengers Endgame in my opinion. The critics giving this movie a low review are just being petty. Honestly, I’m speechless in how I love the film. It isn’t perfect, there’s still things I wish they did, but it still gives me hope for what other film makers can do. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The long awaited Snyder Cut is not a bad film - it's a significant improvement over the theatrical version - but it isn't a very good one either. Only about 10% of the theatrical cut's scenes feature in this film, but the overall storyline remains the same. With a four hour runtime, there was more time to flesh out the story. A more developed story, along with improved visuals and better performances, helped in turning Justice League into a watchable film.

The film has several flaws, among them the execution (which is an issue in the DC universe in general). Three major characters are introduced in this film (Aquaman, Flash, and Cyborg) alongside Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman. Outside of Cyborg, no character is given a proper arc despite the four hour runtime. There was little time left for character development with the film's lengthy story, as well as its abundance of action sequences. This issue could have been avoided had these characters been given their own solo movies before Justice League. A film is hard to enjoy if a viewer is unable to properly connect with its characters - this was the main problem with Justice League. The various fan service moments are also problematic in this movie There are several scenes, particularly in the film's epilogue, which seem to set up sequels that will never happen. These scenes unnecessarily extended the runtime and soured the experience. Questionable music choices and excessive slow-mo moments also did nothing to improve the viewing experiences.

Overall, the Snyder Cut is a significant improvement over its theatrical counterpart, and fans of Zack Snyder would thoroughly enjoy it. However, I wouldn't recommend this film to a casual viewer, due to its lengthy runtime and various underlying issues.… Expand

While this is a good movie showing what Zack Snyder can do well, it also shows what he is not very good at.

The actors all do a great job, and here they have good lines to work with.
All the characters get to shine and show they are there for a reason.
The soundtrack is great.

And the bad.
That he needed around 4h for this movie to make sense is proof that he is terrible at phasing, smashing multiple movies into one and the result is something that with less time would make zero sense and honestly be a bad movie. A clear example of this was Man of Steel.
This movie would also had been much better if all the characters had been given their own movies before making this one, and honestly this movie would have been better as 2 or even 3 movie. Fleshing out the characters in the universe before bringing them together. Sadly this will most likelt not happen due to WB finding it better to restart it all over and over rather then plotting a course and sticking to it, and in this case this is insane seeing as they actually in this movie have some great actors who fits the roles... but starting from strach with the same misstakes and new actors and directors without a clear direction is way better, ya.… Expand

Massive improvement over the released version! The character development and explanations added so much more depth and connection. I watched it one go and it did not feel like four hours at all. So, SO much better than the 2017´s Frankenstein! It maintains the DC spirit at its core, beautiful atmosphere (dark and dusty), strong characters and an understandable and coherent story. Four hours fully enjoyable for all DC fans.

It doesn't feel like 4 hours at all. Honestly it should be longer it was that good. We need a sequel asap. The music is on another level. The CGI is in point. Each character is done complete justice and I am so glad Zack was able to finish his vision. Even if there are no more sequels, this trilogy of movies he has made so far is some of the best comic book to picture adaptions ever. There is a truly brillant 3 hour cut of this movie in here somewhere - but as it stands, some scenes go on a touch too long. Much better than the theatrical version though.

The main problem still exists from the last one... this movie, like all of Snyder's in the DCEU, are just trying to do too much. Think about it, in 3 movies we went from the Superman's origin, to BvsS, to Death of Superman, to his resurrection. We didn't even get ONE movie of him just fighting Earth villains and working at the Daily Planet. And Batman is still the world's worst detective telling everyone around him his secret identity. The movie could be 30-60 minutes shorter if all of the slo-mo scenes set to Snyder's favorite music were played at normal speed. The best part is Cyborg, though his face weirdly looks like it a bad deep fake most of the movie, and it's a shame, because of WB hi-jinks, we will probably never get a continuation of his story. The massive battle on Earth is cool. The ending is very cool and could lead to something awesome, if it ever happens, but again, Snyder is firing on all cylinders trying to get to the next big Superman story. One last thing, the new re-design of some of these characters kind of reminds of Bay's Transformers, where they are over-designed with a million chittering moving parts, in mostly Steppenwolf and Cyborg. But that's not surprising because they are so similar as film makers.… Expand

Theirs a few people who are complaining it’s too long, I’m sure once they realize they binge watched tv shows before they’ll realize it’s hypocritical. Everything wrong with the original justice league movie is fixed. The action scenes are better, the humor is well placed and doesn’t feel forced, and the tone just fits all throughout. It’s a shame we probably won’t get a sequel.

This shows the DC movies CAN be good. The problem was never Snyder or the castings, even Afflecks Batman was amazing. If anything, this cut shows that if you remove the ego from hollywood execs being involved in projects a good movie can be made. Thank you Zack Snyder. Your vision was awesome and even though you won’t get to pay it off, Justice was served.… Expand

This is basically the Infinite War for DC. I can't believe how the DC executives don't want this version to be released. 3 of my friends who have never watched any DC movies think this movie alone is already good enough to convince them toThis is basically the Infinite War for DC. After re-watching both the theatrical and Snyder cut I realized this was far worse than I initially believed. I fell for the claims that it was improved over the original, when in fact many of the scenes that were highlighted are exactly theAfter re-watching both the theatrical and Snyder cut I realized this was far worse than I initially believed. I fell for the claims that it was improved over the original, when in fact many of the scenes that were highlighted are exactly the same. Just in the non-IMAX 4:3 so that Cyborg could be cut out of a few scenes and the CGI budget could be stretched out (less CGI on screen at any one time).

This was massively bloated, with many plot holes added from the unnecessary scenes. When I started to factor in all the character assassinations such as WW brutally killing people that she did not need to, including possibly crushing a lot of cops as she used her nuke against a single person instead of her super-speed while he was reloading, then turning to a little girl and claiming that she can grow up to be just like WW. I was not aware that you can get an education as the offspring of a ancient god with all inherent powers, or the ability to not be held accountable for killing without probable cause (or property damage). I would like to sign up for that course immediately! Then we have Cyborg stealing $100k and transferring it to a working mom who probably does deserve it. This seems great until the IRS shows up and wants to know where it came from, eventually siezing it as proceeds from crime (someone hacked the bank) since there is no such thing as the ATM lottery. Finally we have Superman's apparent default attitude which is to kill everyone if he gets the least bit upset. I am not talking about the Spoiler event at the end, but the laughable plot device where Cyborg's arm 'accidentally' attacks him. Superman kills at least one of the soliders (far side of the Humvee), and nearly kills Flash. It was just super convienent that Martian Martha did not convince Lois to return to work right away, or the entire movie would have ended with Superman wiping them all out. Add in the super-scream that would have killed half the world, or the Flash being able to use his newfound abilities to have saved everything all on his own, and this whole script breaks down. The Whedon changes all make sense now. Factor in that he only had two or three months, and Execs telling him what to do, and I am amazed that the original managed a 5 from me.

A lot of this is easy to miss on the first viewing, giving the 4 hour bloat, especially that slo-mo for no reason (burger with a CGI seasame seed is the worst offender), or the fact they screw up a lot by slowing the people but not the CGI effects (rubble, vehicles, explosions, etc). On first viewing I really did think this was better than the original, but a re-watch really helped me notice all the plot holes, plot armor, plot convienence, and some horrible character dialogue that were not in the original.

Darkseid's ships do not have navigational computers? Really Zach? They just 'forgot' the location of the most important thing (Anti-Life equation) in the entire Mutiverse? Also if WW can kick Ares, whom can kick Darkseid, whom in turn can make Steppenwolf grovel, why did WW even break a sweat? If lightening cannot break apart the Unity, how did Zeus's thunderbolt do it in the flashback? Or was that 'special' lightening? If Martian Manhunter cares about the world, why did he sit the majority of this movie out, and how much is Lois going to freak out when she figures out that was not Martha? Finally, what was with all the false advertising in the promo material, including trailers, that were never intended to make your cut? You may not call it cheating, but the people that live in a society do. We call it a lie, just like your claims that Whedon was responsible for all the bad, even though we have the material you originally shot, and it is exactly what he used in the cinematic release. So you just denounced your own scenes, while trying to blame him? Pretty low Zack. Perhaps this is why Ann just axed the Snyderverse.… Expand

I'll admit I wasn't a fan of man of steel (4/10) and BvS (5/10), and I did like the original cut of justice League (7.5/10), so I didn't have much faith going into it but I'll say I was surprised, It had a lot of great things that hyped me up for the future of the DCEU.

I liked the further development of cyborg, I genuinely liked how flash was handled making him act like he's way over his head but is still the MVP, I appreciate making batman dark again, I like that they had a bit more humor and I overall like how they expanded on the members of the league almost compensating for the lack of their individual movies. Definitely the best of the Snyder trilogy

Now what I disliked, it yet again ruins superman by making him too dark, in the original cut of justice League they fixed superman by making him more positive and funny which is what superman should be but this movie has him back to being this robotic dark character that doesn't feel human. I dislike how they made darkseid feel weak, he's defeated so easily which takes out any tension that there could have been in the next movies. It takes out some of my favourite lines from the original such as "you are not a monster Victor. Its funny that you thought I meant me" and "He was more human than me". It is way too long, it perfectly could have been 3 hours long Overall I liked it, I'm hopeful for the future of the DCEU, but I can definitely see that Snyder is improving his style but I still prefer the Whedon cut just for its lighter tone and shorter run time

First of all, i salute to all the fans who made this movie possible. I'm not a DC geek myself but i do know quite a bit about the characters and the movies. I liked wonder woman, only saw man of steel in parts, liked batman vs superman, except for the "Martha" scene of course. But i did not like Joss Whedon's version of the justice league (JOSSTICE LEAGUE) that came out in 2017. It felt like Warner Brothers were blatantly trying to imitate Marvel which i absolutely was not a fan of.It had cringeworthy jokes, the cgi was bad, and a lot of cheesy dialogues. I felt no connection with any of the characters and really disliked flash ( felt like spiderman),and coming to Steppenwolf (more like steppenpup) he just looked so boring, did not look terrifying at all. but my biggest gripe about the movie was that it did not feel like a team. It felt like only superman had done something in the movie (who was super OP by the way). Others had no significant amount of impact. Finally, after seeing this mediocre piece of filmmaking, i decided to give up on dceu. And then came the news that there was zack snyder's version of the movie,but i was least bothered. But then came the teasers and the trailers, after which i was hyped (never thought i'd be hyped for an extended version of a movie, or so i thought) for the movie.But now, after seeing Snyder's vision, i can clearly tell you that this felt like a whole another movie. Sure, it is long and all, but the length wasn't even any problem for me. Every character felt fleshed out, especially cyborg, and i really liked the flash this time around. The moments from the previous film felt earned here, and everbody had an impact in this movie. I really never understood why WB decided to cut all of this footage and be like "this is fine". And the antagonist, Steppenwolf, really felt like a villain. His prescence was terrifying, and he actually had a motive. So, for me, the snyder cut improved upon the original in many ways - character development, great antagonist, and a really good soundtrack etc. But coming to the cons, i only have a few, and they are the slow motion shots (Seriously Zack?). There were some cool shots in the movie, but i felt like it was overused. I also found some dialogues weird (like I BELONG TO NO ONE! , the 2017 one had the better dialogue there) and some scenes which could be cut. Finally, to sum it all up, this is the movie that dc fans have been thriving for, and it definitely lives up to the hype.

Wow, what can I say. This really is a masterpiece. After a few DC flops, this movie really sets the standard for superhero movies. I think this is a greatest comeback of DC universe that I have ever seen! I love this movie because all the characters had been reopened and rethinked in a new roles. I was honestly expecting this to be a 4-hour version of a bad film made worse with longer cuts and darker/grittier tone, and more lore to the uninteresting mother box stuff.

To my surprise, Zack was not only able to make everything more interesting and engaging but represents the DCE's strong suit; its characters, powers with Godlike abilities, and **** Darkseid are so awe-inspiring.

More character depth actually has us care about the cast and some substantial scenes that rival stuff from the MCU, like actual use of their abilities. After being burned and fatigued of superhero films since Age of Ultron, I'm finally, and actually excited to see what happens to the league, and a proper introduction to Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter, and How in the **** they're going to deal with Darkseid (Better than Thanos), Zack has achieved something I never expected. Although the film has its issues, and the tacked-on scenes at the end felt forced and awkward, Zack was able to bring back momentum to superhero films (For me) and has a huge following to back him up, so here hoping to see Zack's vision truly be realized 7/10… Expand

Listen, I’m very happy Zack Snyder was able to get his vision out there and I’m happy people are liking it. That doesn’t mean though that this film is perfect just because it was released. That doesn’t mean though that this film is perfect just because it was released. Yes the film is a MAJOR improvement over 2017’s Justice League but this film still brings some of those problems over to this film such as the poor writing. The dialogue in this film is still almost just as stilted as it was in Justice League however, there are no awful jokes to ruin the pacing of the film which I do appreciate. The writing in Justice League was god awful and this was still bad but not as bad. Gal Gadot’s, Henry Cavill’s, and Amy Adam’s performances are still just as awkward as they were in the original film. I still find some of their line delivery laughable bad but Ray Fisher’s performance was definitely an improvement because he was given an actual character this time. In the previous film, him and The Flash were just kinda there and now they have some role in the film which I did like. I do think Ray Fisher’s Cyborg is honestly the best part of the film. He’s pretty great. Stepphenwolf was better than he was in Justice League but I still felt that he was kinda one dimensional. Trust me that he isn’t as bad in Justice League but I still found him uninteresting. This runtime is absolutely not justified. It did not need to be 4 hours long because the first half is a slog to sit through. I found myself nodding off a few times and having to rewind because I didn’t know what happened. This film isn’t all bad though. Like I said, Cyborg is great and the visual effects are a huge improvement. Plus, the cinematography is pretty fantastic at points. Some of the action is well done and I did enjoy the second half of the film. Like I said, I’m happy Snyder was able to release this and I think it’s a worthy addition to the DCEU but it isn’t flawless. Check this out if you enjoy this universe or are interested in seeing what Snyder’s vision was.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Not everyone will agree with me, and that's perfectly fine. Also, people putting low review scores just to "balance out the DC fanboys"? Really?

This film is not perfect, but honestly, it is my favorite in the DCEU. The extra exposition and character focus, without the creep factor that was added by Whedon meant a very enjoyable film I have seen 4 times now, and I still enjoy it. Yes, 4 hours can be hard to sit through, but if you can do it, it's beyond worth it.

Spoiler Alert from here on out:
Nearly every character is way better than in the theatrical version. Wonder Woman is not sexualized or forced to be grounded, instead reflecting the Amazonian goddess that she is. Lois Lane went from having an uncomfortable discussion with Martha Kent about Clark to genuinely being depressed due to his death. Aquaman isn't used for cheap laughs, Flash is much funnier (and doesn't need to land on Wonder Woman for cheap laughs). Superman actually has time to regain his memory after being revived, and undeniably the biggest change was Ray Fisher's Cyborg. He is and will always be the live action Cyborg to enjoy. He has a story, his technological enhancements from the Mother Box are explained.… Expand

Film splendido, finalmente è uscito un film che continua la storia inizia con l'uomo d'acciaio e batman Vs superman. Tutto in questo film ha una logica e finalmente vengono raccontate le storie dei personaggi. Sono rimasto estasiato

it is honestly 5/10 but I wanted to balance the dc fanboys. I really don't know what else to say about it, it really is just another average blockbuster.
