I love this movie. Is it the best superhero movie of all time? No, but it maybe be one of my personal favorites. This is the definitive Justice League movie that I have always wanted since I was a kid. Every frame in this movie is beautiful,I love this movie. Is it the best superhero movie of all time? No, but it maybe be one of my personal favorites. This is the definitive Justice League movie that I have always wanted since I was a kid. Every frame in this movie is beautiful, the new color grading by Snyder is far superior than Whedon’s over-saturated mess in the originally released film from 2017. The visuals combined with the cinematography make for one breathtaking cinematic experience. All the characters are given the depth that was missing in 2017, especially Miller's Flash and Fischers Cyborg, Each character has a part to play in the story and no time is wasted with them saying dumb, unnecessary jokes. The action is a lot more engaging in this film too. My problem with most superhero films is that the action is always cut up in multiple shots and it can be difficult to see what’s going on. Here we get wide and long camera shots with a new musical score by Tom Holkenborg added on top. Although, Wonder Woman's new Amazonian theme is overused and plays a total of 14 different times throughout the film. It's good to hear, but it gets annoying after awhile. Trust me, you start to notice the same hymn after the third time. There are still many scenes that feel unnecessary and they can go on longer than needed, especially with so much slow motion, which Snyder is famous for. Though, Steppenwolf gets more depth, he still remains a big cgi villain that is hard to care about. Flash’s comic relief goes a bit overboard in some areas, and the final 20 minutes of the film, though interesting, really drag the movie out. For a nearly four hour movie, The Snyder Cut flows very well. If you don't have the time to watch it in it's entirety, it is split into 6 parts and an epilogue. Overall, Zack Snyder's Justice League is what many fans and I have hoped for and more.… Expand

Snyder is overrated. He can do great action scenes but his character development and plot progression are terrible. He piqued with 300 and it was all downhill from there. Don't tell me this movie is better, the characters all have daddy issues and are plain as f***. Растянутось, с одной стороны хорошо то что Снайдер расширил данный фильм, добавил новые сюжетные линии, новых героев, прописал их лучше, но всё таки можно было же урезать фильм ненужными скучными, и так растянутыми сценами которые были ещё в версии 2017, а скоро ещё должна выйти режиссёрская версия, сколкьо она интересно будет идти? 5 часов? Но при этом Снайдеру респект за то что он для удобства разделил фильм на главы, можно посмотреть одну главу, пойти отдохнуть от просмотра, ну там, поесть, попить чай, пойти погулять и растянуть просмотр да хоть на целую неделю!!! 3. After the critical mixed reception and box office bomb of 2017’s Justice League, fans have been campaigning for the original cut of Justice League, known as the Snyder Cut, done by it’s original director, Zack Snyder. After years of many fan campaigns, the Snyder Cut have finally arrived and is available in HBO Max. What separate this movie from the theatrical cut is both of them are totally different movies and this movie is not an extended version. This movie is using footage originally shot by Zack Snyder only. None of the footage shot by Joss Whedon (who took over as the director of the theatrical cut during post production) will be use. Another difference in this movie is R rated and the runtime is 4 hours unlike the theatrical cut which is PG-13 rated and runtime is 2 hours.

On the night that Superman died, his death triggers the three Mother Boxes’ reactivation where the first two Boxes are guarded by the Amazons and Atlanteans respectively while the third Box is under the possession of Star Labs. Some time later, the reactivation of the Boxes attract Steppenwolf’s attention. He and his armies of Parademons successfully retrieve the first Mother Box from the Amazons in Themyscira.

Queen Hippolyta warns her daughter, Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gadot), about Steppenwolf (Hinds) and the upcoming threats. Having been warned, Diana learn some history regarding Darkseid’s failed invasion of Earth five thousand years ago and losing the three Mother Boxes in the process. Diana meets up with Bruce Wayne/Batman (Affleck) and inform him about the threats they are going to face. Together, they seek out the three metahumans with superpowers: Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Barry Allen/Flash and Victor Stone/Cyborg to fight Steppenwolf and stop him from obtaining the other Mother Boxes.

Meanwhile, Steppenwolf made his base in an abandoned Russian town. He reports to DeSaad, Darkseid’s loyal follower, about the his progress hoping to regain favour with Darkseid, who is also Steppenwolf’s nephew. With progress have been made, Steppenwolf hunts the remaining two Mother Boxes.

As I have mentioned earlier, this movie is a completely different movie. There are no scenes from the theatrical cut at all. That means there are no Russian family subplot, Superman being interviewed by some kids, Flash landed on top of Wonder Woman and more. This is definitely a Zack Snyder movie and his style of directing absolutely matched in this movie. The visual effects are now better and polished. The cinematography is beautiful and many of the shots are great something which Zack Snyder is good at.

All the major characters especially Cyborg have great character developments from the start till the end in this movie. In addition, the cast performance are even better than how it was in the theatrical cut now that many of their original scenes have been restored. Ray Porter, who voiced Darkseid, have done a great job in voicing the character considering that he was an unknown actor and audiobook narrator. Nevertheless, he gave a menacing and threatening voiceover performance in his role.

While the basic plot remained the same as the theatrical cut, some elements used by Joss Whedon such as Parademons being attracted to the sounds of sirens and smelling fear have been removed. Batman does not have some one-liners quotes and awkward moments anymore. As for Superman, he does not have weird CGI mouth and he wore his iconic black suit instead of the traditional suit. This version of Superman is more true to the version established in the previous movies. The humours in this movie is more natural instead of feeling more forced. Other characters such as Darkseid, DeSaad, Iris West and Nuidis Vulko have played some roles in this movie. The most important one is Steppenwolf. The character is no longer a generic villain. He is given a sympathetic backstory with his original intended design as depicted in his cameo appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He is even more threatening and a gruesome warrior in this movie compared to the theatrical cut.

The only bad thing about this movie is the movie is way too long. Putting a 4 hour movie in cinema is impossible. There are people to who are unable to watch the whole movie in one sitting even myself. Some scenes that did not contribute to the story can be easily remove to shortened the runtime. Fortunately, the movie is split into six chapters and an epilogue so that you can continue watching the movie on your preferred time. I felt the final scene is kind of pointless because the scene look more like a sequel bait considering this is the last time Zack Snyder direct a DC movie.

Last but not least, this movie is the true version of Justice League. If you have been disappointed by the theatrical cut, then watch this movie. I guaranteed that you won’t regret it. Don’t bother staying back for post credits scene because there are none.… Expand

Просто удивительно фильм полностью перемонтирован. Скажу страшное, он мне понравился даже больше последних "Мстителей". Конечно балл снял за то, что некоторые, понравившиеся лично мне, фрагменты из фильма 2017 года не вошли в фильм 2021. Ещё мне категорически не понравился формат фильма. Почему 4:3, зачем? Понимаю может это дань какому нибудь IMAX или ещё чему, хз. Но фильм будут смотреть в первую очередь дома на телеках 16:9, а может и более широком формате и всё это 4к просто теряет смысл.
Но если последние два абзаца не критичны, фильм явно удался! Концовка вообще улёт и просто кричит, просто требует продолжения! Выйдет думаю вряд ли, но ждать буду.

Following all the rumors that all the footage for Zack Snyder's nearly completed Justice League still existed after Whedon assumed control, changed the tone, and added in his own new material a movement similar to the one that got everyone'sFollowing all the rumors that all the footage for Zack Snyder's nearly completed Justice League still existed after Whedon assumed control, changed the tone, and added in his own new material a movement similar to the one that got everyone's favorite anthropomorphic hedgehog redesigned for Sonic the Hedgehog began and WB actually let Snyder release his original vision in all its uncut 4-hour glory. Spending a lot of money on a non-canon piece of fanservice that still leaves their ultimate plans for the DCEU up in the air. The results are an improvement to be sure, but this isn't likely to be a vindication for anyone other than Snyder himself and the particularly delusional members of the fanbase who are still trying to convince everyone that the 31-minutes of footage added in the "Ultimate Edition" of Batman v Superman somehow magically fixes everything wrong with that film. That's because it reveals some uncomfortable truths about just how inherently flawed Justice League was to begin with.

Make no mistake, this isn't a super long director's cut. It's an entirely different super long movie. A lot of the scenes and of course the story are the same, but are handled in distinctive ways. Things like the moodier score and Snyder's trademark visual style give scenes and moments a darker tone. Such as how the villains look like they were pulled straight off of the cover art for a metal album. The narrative has also been greatly expanded allowing every little idea room to breathe and be fully fleshed out. We can now see exactly where exactly Snyder was intending to go with these heroes, which unfortunately comes with the tradeoff of also having clearer knowledge of the mistakes he made trying to get them there as quickly as possible.

Rather than acting as a film that works on its own while hinting at the bigger threat planned for later on down the road the way the first Avengers did for Thanos, this is essentially an overly long trailer for what might have been a pretty sweet adaptation of the Injustice video game. Nowhere is that more evident than with Steppenwolf. Who, yes, is portrayed more menacingly here, but is still uninteresting on his own and only serves to constantly remind viewers that Snyder had planned to bring Darkseid to the table at some point, likely in the very next sequel. It makes you wonder why Snyder didn't just go ahead and make that movie instead. It's not like he hadn't already cut necessary corners to get this far anyways. Which is why Flash and Cyborg get introduced and established here rather than in their own solo origin flicks; something that disrupts the flow of the story.

Speaking of those two, they really exemplify how the whole team dynamic is handled a little better here as they both play a more integral role in saving the day. So now only Batman, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman are useless. Something that makes the special theme music that plays every time the Amazonian so much as looks in a different direction during a fight seem really silly after a while given how little she's actually able to do against Steppenwolf. They all still come off as inconsequential when compared to Superman though who, after hours of his peers getting slapped around, defeats the villain in a hilariously anticlimatic and one-sided beatdown that makes it hard to take the other members of the League seriously going forward because of how easily outshined they were.

I think it's time we stop demonizing Whedon for his version. Yeah, his changes and additions were bad, but it's clear now that what he had to work with wasn't all that great in the first place. Most of the flaws found in his take are still present here, only marginally more tolerable. Even now without any sort of discernable destination for it to go the DCEU is probably better off without Snyder as at least WB has the potential to salvage things and with the necessary groundwork he was either uninterested or unwilling to lay. Because while his Justice League is a better movie, it's still not a good movie. Oh, and Jared Leto's Joker is still the worst thing ever.… Expand

Zack Snyder knows how to portray strong intelligent women and connect them with the audience. Goosebumps the entire time! The same happened with every Wonder Woman scene. She's more used to this world, but always ready for a fight, without losing her warrior nature and her kindness. My daughter loves her even more, she felt the goosebumps too!! Batman is everything and more, Ben Affleck is FANTASTIC. His journey from BvS to ZSJL is well done, the impact of Superman in his life and how that changed his view of the Kryptonian and the humanity at the same time put him back to be the hero/vigilante that we love so much. The World's Finest should be the next movie with them together, after The Batfleck movie of course. Batfleck's chemistry with Jared Leto's Joker was palpable, it really felt like those two have been at each other's throats for years. I'd tasted the blood and only left me wanting more. Knightmare is what I was expecting more from ZSJL and UGH, Can I have another 4 hours with just Knightmare, please?
Aquaman from here and from there, the mistery, the legend that surrounded him in his town was engaging, beautiful and majestic. Ray Fisher was fantastic as Victor Stone and Cyborg he has a great future as an actor. The heart of the movie indeed. His story arc is painful, but full of love, understanding and acceptance. I wish Warner Brothers would stop being afraid of making Dramas with comic book characters. I think that genre is great for CBM. It attracts adults and kids. Zack Snyder's Justice League is for every age. Perfectly balanced. CBM doesn't need to be Comedy-Actions all the time. I love when the artists (Directors, writers) take the characters seriously and not as a joke. To me, too many jokes kills the characters journey and the realism. So Snyder's movies doesn't suffer of that. One negative thing I have to say about The Snyder Cut is that I was expecting to see the political and social themes, how the League impacted the world and the reaction of the governments, but I think that is too much for the general audience, because all these themes plus the psychological and philosophical were included in Batman v Superman and that was too much for the general audience. So, I see why Zack and Chris made the decision of not including them, but still disappointed because I was really looking forward to that. But that didn't take away how amazingly well done this movie is. One of the best Comic Book Movies for sure.… Expand

Kinda boring so glad that Zack is not coming back bad cgi terrible acting. In all honesty no actor hit their mark Ben is horrible at Batman and gal can’t act. Only reason this has good reviews is from the cultists who have no life already!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The teaser, trailer, the teasers for every individual characters - all of them were already giving it the look of something legendary. And the final product was exactly that. Every single scene is so visually satisfying to watch, the characters are all given a proper background, the scenes have enough breathing space which ended up padding the runtime, and the best part - it's better than the 2017 version. It's a good thing that it was released in a 4:3 ratio, as it helps to see the parts of the frame that are normally removed in theatrical cuts.

People normally say they have a problem with this movie being 4 hours long. I actually like it this way. If I have paid for a movie I should get the entertainment for the movie. I don't want my entertainment to finish in just 2 hours. The only time I'd not prefer it is if the movie feels like a drag to look at, which this one definitely isn't. It's so visually satisfying and has so many pleasant scenes that I didn't even remember blinking for 4 hours. It looks like a painting being brought to life. This is what happens when a professional photographer and painter becomes a director. Each scene could be turned into a comic book panel. This is not something we normally get to see in superhero movies.

Previously I never cared about Cyborg. For me he was just one of those three random characters thrown at the face, the other two being Aquaman and Flash. I knew Flash because of Justice League and Cyborg because of Teen Titans, but it was finally in this movie that all three characters have been given a proper arc. They were given a reason as to why they behave the way they do. Now Cyborg is my favourite character from the entire movie. His character development is the most impactful and his superpowers make him look far more superior.

The only problem I had was with the ending. The Knightmare and Martian Manhunter cameo scenes were not needed. Martian Manhunter had been established in the Martha and Lois scene, while the Knightmare scene didn't add much except the fact that there will be a sequel, something that the other scenes were also already mentioning so it seemed pointless.

I like this movie a lot. And I mean literally a lot. Ever since I have watched this movie I often watch videos on how different it was from the 2017 one, and the changes are immense. This has now become my favourite superhero movie. I hope WB gets over its ego and continues this story. It looks like a masterpiece compared to what we have been fed all our lives in the name of superhero movies (there are exceptions of course, like The Dark Knight and Sam Raimi trilogy).… Expand

Quatre ans plus tard, Zack Snyder revient avec une nouvelle version de sa « Ligue de la Justice » considérablement revue et corrigée… c’est nettement mieux que le film d’origine, beaucoup mieux réalisé, monté, cadré… et bien plusQuatre ans plus tard, Zack Snyder revient avec une nouvelle version de sa « Ligue de la Justice » considérablement revue et corrigée… c’est nettement mieux que le film d’origine, beaucoup mieux réalisé, monté, cadré… et bien plus spectaculaire ! de très beaux ralentis ici et là et une débauche, une orgie d’effets spéciaux en pagaille, que dis-je, un déluge d’effets ultra-spéciaux à faire mourir de honte toutes les marvelleries réunies !

L’histoire reste simple, plutôt basse de plafond mais l’efficacité est là, indéniablement. En outre, il faut dire que chez DC, c’est toujours sensiblement moins con, moins débile que chez Marvel mais en même temps, ce n’est pas bien difficile… ce qui ne veut pas dire qu’on ne tombe pas dans l’univers DC sur quelques débilités bien débiles, évidemment. Notamment, ce cyborg bling-bling ridicule qu’on voit beaucoup trop ou cet Aqua machin idiot qui ferait mieux de rester dans son bocal. Sans parler du jeune crétin, Flash bidule truc et son costume qui tient avec des bouts de ficelle !

On aurait aimé que le barbu peu aimable soit remplacé par l’autre Atlante qu’on ne voit que fugacement ici, incarné par la fort belle Amber Heard ! L’autre souci concerne Superman, lequel figure en bonne place sur l’affiche mais qu’on ne verra finalement que très peu… A contrario, on se réjouit du rôle de premier plan pour la formidable Wondernana incarnée par la wonderful Gal Gadot !

On s’étonne cependant que le film soit… en 4/3 et on trouve ça… vraiment très con et très énervant. Monsieur Snyder, pourquoi pas faire votre film tout en noir et blanc et muet pendant que vous y êtes ? on s’étonne également de la durée… car le machin a grossi, il est devenu obèse : il dure quatre heures ! c’est la folie des grandeurs ! des longueurs sont donc à déplorer, forcément. Je m’y suis pris à deux fois pour le visionner.

Enfin, malgré la maestria de ce grand spectacle, trop d’effets de fumée, de flammes, d’étincelles, d’explosions, de débris et tutti quanti, tout ce post-traitement, toutes ces couches superposées nuisent de temps à autre à l’action et la lisibilité de ces super grosses bastons. Bref, malgré ses moments de pur brio, ce nouveau Justice League en fait carrément trop, un peu trop… comme la grenouille qui voulait devenir comme un boeuf, en somme !… Expand

La cinematografia es excepcional siendo cada toma una imagen que quisieras guardar para usarla de fondo de pantalla, los efectos visuales estan muy bien hechos a pesar de que se tenia un presupuesto mucho más limitado que la película de Joss Whedon en 2017. Absolute masterpiece, no other words needed.
Characters like Flash,Cyborg and Batman who were RUINED get the justice they deserved, Steppenwolf too.
The main goal of the plot is the same but each scene added bring LOGIC and SENSE for all.

The whole bloody thing is slow-mo unnecessarily.
From riding a horse, to taking off a shirt, to drinking, to simple turning around.

I won't say it's a astonishing masterpiece of a movie, it clearly ain't by aIt's satisfying to see the movie get a proper treatment. It's definitely better than the theatrical version. It happens to be my most favorite Zack Snyder film to date. What it does is that it gives every single character an arc so that we're invested in them. And that's the main thing that made the theatrical version so stupid (not the whacky scenes). .

Whedon tried to make "DC Avengers" without realizing that Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg have never been introduced. Avengers worked because it was backed up by five different movies for the lead characters. This had to give a proper introduction to those three characters and it did. And THAT is what saves the movie.

There are also scenes that were genuinely funny and also scenes which made certain characters shine. And I almost forgot to mention, every good scene from the theatrical version was by Snyder. And just like in BvS and MoS, there were scenes which felt like a comic book page that feels absolutely stupid in a movie, and some illogically blant sequences. The only difference is that, here, they were entertaining enough for not holding the experience down. .

The basic plot is still the same. The villain is still generic. And even though I liked it on the whole, I definitely feel it would've been better if it was done AFTER introducing all the necessary characters in their separate movies. It is just too long for a movie where stakes don't feel so high. Honestly, I am more interested in the sequels they teased in this movie. Darkseid doesn't have any role in the movie. He was equivalent to Thanos in GotG. And to be honest, I want to see the sequels it teased (which I don't think will ever be made) more than watching this again. Those little scenes felt bigger than the whole movie. And you cannot compare this with Infinity War or Endgame because it doesn't have higher stakes and it's just a first team up movie; it's just long. The sequels it teased, however, look like they'll be worthy for the said comparison. .

On the whole, if you have time and if you have ever loved a superhero film, you can watch it. It won't be a waste of time. If you expect this to be an absolutely perfect masterpiece, it's not. .

More consistent than the theatrical version, but that is not enough to save it from bad writing, clunky dialog, dry acting and boring drawn out action scenes. Stop enabling Zack Snyder to keep making **** comic book films. Please.

This movie is an entirely different presentation of what was shown in the 2017 version directed by Joss Whedon. Versions of the characters presented in the film shown 4 years ago such as Cyborg, the Flash, Batman, and Wonder Woman are given a complete 180 with their motivations and character arcs. Cyborg goes from being depressing and distasteful to fleshed-out in Snyder’s Cut. Same goes for the other characters; Batman is back to being his serious team-leading self, the Flash is given laughable humor along with several compelling scenes that make you root for the character at the end of the day, Wonder Woman brutal, yet hopeful compared to her bland counterpart in Whedon’s take, and finally, Aquaman doesn’t despise the world around him during the 120-minute runtime. The 2 extra hours given to this film is a much-needed breath of fresh air to delve deep into knowledge of the heroes’ and villains’ reasonings of why they do what they do. And, last but not least, the CGI is very impressive for the limited resources and small timeframe given to complete this movie. A round of applause is deserved for this modern-day superhero masterpiece.… Expand

10 times better than the theatrical version. It seems like a completely new movie.
4 hours is a lot, and even I was getting a bit sore on my butt, but its absolutely worth it.

The character development was outstanding. I even started to like Aquaman and especially The Flash, even though I disliked them previously.
The action is great and believable and the story is being told so well that you never really know what happens next and you always fear the worst.
It has a bit of wokeness injected, but its nothing bad or out of the ordinary compared to the 90s or 00s. Totally tolerable.

The only thing that bothered me a bit was that Batman looked very clumsy and sometimes useless in this movie. The other superheroes outdid him many times in agility and cleverness. You always feared that he would suddenly be killed with one hit by a lesser bad guy. And in fact he gets saved by the others many times from those sudden deaths. That was once different.

The major surprise in this movie was Cyborg. Very well done. I really loved that character. He was very powerful, but also had his humanity and weaknesses.
The Flash also was much more likeable and not as annoying or stupid anymore. I compared him to the new Spiderman in the theatrical version (who I find extremely obnoxious and childish with terrible humor). But here he seems much more mature, relatable and not once annoying, while still displaying his strengths and weaknesses extremely well.
A very well done movie. Very refreshing in this propaganda drenched age.… Expand

This movie is incredible. I didn't follow the online campaign for the #snydercut and wasn't really interested in watching this movie - since I had already watched it in the theater - or so I thought. But what the hay, I have HBO Max and loveThis movie is incredible. But what the hay, I have HBO Max and love the DC characters. I watched it in four hour-long segments and was blown away. The character development had me caring about what happened next, the action was solid and the new scenes really tied everything together. I can't believe it. I didn't even want a #snydercut and now I've re-watched Man of Steel, gave the BvS Ultimate Edition a go (much better!) and am re-watching the Snyder cut. At this point, the only content I'm interested in from WB/ATT is more of Snyder's vision of the DCU.… Expand

The fanboys wetting their pants saying this film is a masterpiece are pretty funny. Without the initial, dumpster fire release, this film is a 5 at best. Gave the extra star because of the original. I loved it ! This film is beautiful, the story, the images, the characters, everything in the movie is amazing. 10000 times better than the 2017 version. I didn't have the feeling to watch the same movie. Thank you, Mr Snyder.
