Tom Holland PERFECTLY captures what a spiderman would be in today's world. Remember, spiderman started out as a teen. This movie captures that world perfectly. Attempting to juggle the life of a superhero and a teenager. It today's modern social media world, it is impossible that spiderman would not become a worldwide phenomenon. He isnt merely a back alleyway avenger like he was in the 60s or 70s before widespread social media.

A nice addition to the long list of Spiderman movies.

I haven't seen "Avengers: Endgame" yet, but after some reading I realized that this movie works almost like a sequel, reporting events after that movie. The script is quite simple: after being part of the Avengers team, Peter Parker tries to return to a minimally normal life and take a trip through Europe with his high school classmates. But the emergence of new threats to the world will frustrate Spider-Man's vacation plans and, at the same time, put to the test the confidence that the late Tony Stark placed in him.

The film continues to be starring Tom Holland in the role of Spider-Man. He has progressed a lot from one film to the next and here he is much more solid and tailored for the character. Jake Gyllenhaal gave the villain life in an impeccable way and Samuel L. Jackson makes a flawless performance too. Zendaya was discreet but competent, leading the younger cast. The only negative criticism I make of her is that she did not get a particularly good chemistry with Holland.

The film maintains the adolescent and light spirit that we feel in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" but the quality of the plot and the story told seemed to me better. I felt that this film has an easier time captivating and holding our attention. The comedy, on the other hand, was also much better accomplished and does not transform Spider-Man into a silly boy inside a suit, as happened in "Homecoming". The action scenes follow one another and will please fans easily, and the state-of-the-art visual, special and CGI effects are sure to impress the audience.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. E-Value: 9
Acting: 9
Plot: 9

Although Avengers: Endgame was supposed to be the final chapter of The Infinity Saga, Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige has recently confirmed that Spider-Man: Far From Home, which is the twenty-third instalment in Marvel Cinematic Universe, is not just the final movie of Phase 3 but also the movie is officially the final chapter of The Infinity Saga.

Eight months after the events of Avengers: Endgame, Midtown School of Science and Technology restart its academic years to accommodate the students who were resurrected by “the Blip”. The school also organise a two week summer field trip to Europe. During a fundraising event organised by May Parker, Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Holland) is told by Happy Hogan that Nick Fury (Jackson) will contact him soon about something but he refuse to speak to him.

Still mourning the death of his mentor, Tony Stark/Iron Man, and wanting to take a break from superhero duty for a while, Peter decided not to bring his Spider-Man suit on his field trip but his aunt still pack for him anyway in case of emergency. During a trip in Venice, Peter and the other students encounters one of the mysterious entities known as the Elementals. As the Elemental known as Water Elemental is wreaking havoc on the city, a mysterious superhero called Mysterio (Gyllenhaal) shows up and defeats the Water Elemental.

Later at night, Peter is approach by Fury who wants him to meet Mysterio, whose real name is Quentin Beck. He claims that he is from another universe of Earth and he is here to stop the Elementals from causing more destruction. Peter refuses to be part of this mission and chooses to return back to his field trip. Unknown to him, Fury secretly change the school field trip from Paris to Prague where the other Elemental will strike next.

Once again, Spider-Man: Far From Home is not just another good instalment in the franchise but also great sequel similar to 2004’s Spider-Man 2. The plot of the movie is very well written and executed especially the plot twists which you never seen it coming. Even before the movie was released in cinemas, the trailers have already done a great job in hiding the plot twists and even had Tom Holland to warn viewers about some spoilers from Avengers: Endgame. There is not a single boring scene at all and lots of funny moments. It is all fun and enjoyable to watch.

The cast have done an impressive performance especially Tom Holland and Jake Gyllenhaal, whom they deliver an amazing performance in their role as Spider-Man and Mysterio. The on-screen romance between Tom Holland and Zendaya are very natural and great. The depiction of teenage drama and romance subplot between the two of them is very well done. It was really fun and romantic to see them interacting with each other and better than any romance movies.

Like all Marvel movies except 2008’s The Incredible Hulk and Avengers: Endgame, there is a mid-credits scene and post-credits scene. You definitely cannot miss both of these scenes at all cost. This is because there is a certain someone who is also iconic from the comic book show up unexpectedly. It was really a surprise for me and caught me off guard. Regardless, those two scenes not only serve as clue for Phase 4 but also a future direction for this franchise.

I didn't notice the time passing. The acting was pretty good. Maybe the lower point was the MJ actress but it wasn't very noticable. Obviously, Peter Parker is the heir of Tony Stark and, for me at least, it was logical.

The actor portraing Peter Parker makes a good job. I think it is the Peter Parker most true to the comics.

Fast movie, a lot of action and good special effects. A well told story that links the past to the present. It has a lot of humour and action. A very good soundtrack.

The lowest point was the second post credit scene (There are two so stick to the end). I mean the lowest.

This is better than Homecoming in almost every aspect. The writing is improved, with a lot more funny jokes, better dialogue, better pacing, better emotional weight, better tension, better action and much more.

The visual effects are great and they were used in creative ways leading to some of the most unique action scenes in any MCU movie and superhero movie. Tom Holland and Jake Gylenhaal gave great performances and so did most of the supporting cast. The MCU references are not as forced as in the last movie and the villain was good, very well developed and with clear motivation, something not too common to find in an MCU villain.

This is hands-down one of the best MCU movies ever and it's up there with Spider-Man 2 as the best live-action Spider-Man movie ever.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I found this movie to be nearly on par with, if not better than the first one. It brought to the table everything that the first was missing. I enjoyed that MJ and Peter finally get together, that Mysterio was a fantastic villain and that we got the heartwrenching closure to Tony Stark's death that everyone wanted. The acting was fantastic as usual, but even better so this time. The set-pieces are as beautiful as ever, and the actors are very funny, especially Ned and Betty. The action and special effects were also top-notch. All-around, the movie provided a fantastic addition to the cinematic universe I didn't believe could be furthered. Definitely worth a watch. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie was a highly enjoyable thrill ride. The action sequences weren’t overdone and felt original (which isn’t always the case) and that made me feel great because I feel very desensitized to a lot of actions. Remember when an exploding truck felt impactful on screen?

Once you grasp the technology of the villain, everything makes a ton more sense including what initially appears to be bad action on JGs part. A lot of the fake news and deepfake focus of the film has relevance today and will only gain more going forward.

It also has a very Empire feel to it (as much as a teen movie can feel that way) in that the villain seems to win — when the film references Star Wars though, it’s hard to imagine there wasn’t some intent here. Overall, I enjoyed this much better than Homecoming and certainly better than Iron Man 2 (and i have begun to start comparing the two trilogies as they are clearly meant to be pseudo mirrors). I would say the movie has a few flaws, but it isn’t script or acting or anything like that. The first showing i saw had people laughing at all the spots whereas the second showing saw some of the same jokes fall flat. I almost enjoy when these movies are panned because i know they’ll be good :)

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Very good movie in my opinion, certain points of the movie did seem too drawn out and boring. But overall the movie was great and it helped create a progression in Spider-Man's character, and it also helps close any plot holes as there were a few. The twist, with Mysterio was somewhat predictable, yet it still was surprising as to how he pulled the whole trick off. The scenes that involved Spider-Man and the projected images, was AMAZING, and definitely one of the best parts of the movie, as not only did Spider-Man in the movie not know what was on, but it also continued to trick the audience. The new-found relationship between Happy and Aunt May wasn't very necessary, but it did create some comedic relief, as well as Ned's short-lived relationship. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie is amazing! May just be the best Spider-Man movie to date, behind Into The Spiderverse. Tom Holland is once again amazing as Spider-Man, and I really hope he sticks around. No pun intended. Jake Gyllenhaal was amazing as Mysterio. MJ and Peters romance was adorable and awkward, which, as a teen, is extremely accurate. The comedy was amazing, Flash drinking alcohol and then MJ telling the pilots that he is still 16 is something I may never get enough of. I think we all knew Mysterio would be the villain, but how they handled it really came as quite a shocker for me. Also, I apologize if there are spelling mistakes from here on out as I can no longer see what I am typing. When the illusion sequence happened, I was going crazy. That was the coolest scene I have ever seen in a Marvel movie. It was confusing, and the whole thing with Fury ‘shooting’ Quentin and then IT ATILL BEING AN ILLUSION blew my mind. Coolest sequence ever, and my heart really felt for Peter during that scene. Also, the grave scene with Tony made me cry. No shame. The whole end scene was incredibly well put together, and once again, MJ and Peters relationship is the cutest thing. I was on the edge of my seat the whole movie. And when the movie finished, people left, (excuse me have y’all never experienced a Marvel movie!? There is ALWAYS something at the end.) snd Vacation by The Go Go’s was an incredible choice for the end song. The mid credits didn’t come as a shock, per se, but I was still surprised. I have a tendency to look up spoilers. The whole thing has led to me questioning life and how Peter’s life will turn out. I really hope they handle that well. Then the final credit scene, also left me very confused. How long has Talos and wife been covering for Nick and Maria? HOW LONG!? This sets up Phase 4 Im sure and I cant wait to see how they take it. I am astonished by how great this movie was. Also, Flash's drama with his parents in this movie is honestly heartbreaking and i didn't know I could feel for a character I hate so much. Remy Hill was great. The intro of this movie was super funny to me, sorry rude lady in front of my friend and I telling us to shut up. It was the epitome of High School students’ montages. Sorry if this review is all over the place, I just really liked this movie. 9.7/10 because the comedy seemed a little rushed. Expand

The story is brilliant centered around the college trip with spiderman's stuff and the mysterio he is awesome, The Cgi is a piece and the jokes around trip were fun, The Iron man's stuff countinuation and the trust factor is amazingly showcased. The action scenes and the illusions were awesome, The starting with connecting to endgame's event and the trip plan with the love stuff of peter and mj and the flight scene "the perfume stuff" of peter trying to get to mj his plan it was fun and then the nick fury's entry with mysterio's fake multiversal thing it felt amazing and The elementals fights were awesome, the bathroom scene with lady felt wierdly funny and the edith drone strike and the futher fights were amazing, after halfway through the mysterio's reveal it was just surpisingly awesome and his iron man connection is just bravvo, The mj finding out peter's identity felt little sweet and then the illusion fight after mysterio's reveal it was literally a piece felt directly from comic it was jaw-droppingly awesome The way tricks and trust is portrayed it was just brilliant, The happy's rescue and new suite with it the last act's fight with drones, love that cap's reference and the fight is just awesome, The museum scene with drone and spiderman friends the happy and aunt may's thing was funny and then the final illusion fight with another classic mysterio move and spiderman taking everything down it was just an amazing end and finally mj and peter together and overall trip in between with funny teachers and flash's vlog and ned's couple stuff it was fun, Then after the trip The swing with mj and the mid-credits where spidermans identity revealed coverd by "j jonah jameson" it was just literally nuts and an epic cliff-hanger and then postcredits nick fury and skrull stuff it was surprisingly amazing, The ending is literally Mind-blowingly awesome, Overall its a great sequel and an brilliantly awesome movie!

I believe this was the perfect way to rap up this phase and move onto another. Acting was incredible, Tom Holland plays the part so well as well as Zendaya. The cast is so diverse and loving it makes me want to see more. If I had to change one thing about this movie it would be some of the cgi. Spider-Man is all about the realistic features and possibility that in our world this is possible. Some of the cgi looses that feeling and drags down the emotional potential.
Overall go see this movie, it’s light heated yet intense, romanced but comedic and has the best twists that really leave you wanting more Can’t wait for the next one !

I’ve said it’s one of the few Marvel movies that I actually enjoyed all the way through. While that much is still true, upon a second viewing I don’t think I love it anymore. I like it, it’s solid and it’s still one of the best Marvel movies, but it wasn’t as good on a repeat viewing. With the original fresh in my mind going into the sequel, I was a little nervous that I wouldn’t think that it was as good as I remembered the first one being either. However, I think Far From Home might be better than Homecoming. That’s still my first impression, it may change with time, but as it is right now this is right up there with Homecoming as one of my favourite Marvel movies. Far From Home acts as both a sequel to Homecoming and an epilogue to Avengers Endgame. What is the world like after *spoiler*? What is the world like without *spoiler*? How has *spoiler’s* *spoiler* affected the world and Peter Parker? This film explores that. The comedy is hilarious, the characters are all loveable with great performances, the story is engaging and this movie probably has the most creative and thrilling action and effects out of any of the Marvel movies since Doctor Strange. The story of this movie has a lot of twists and turns and I don’t want to give anything away, but if you’ve seen the trailers or even read the title, you know it’s about Peter Parker going on a school trip to Europe. It’s so great to finally see Spider-Man get out of New York in his own standalone movie and see all the cool stuff he can do in other cities. It was great. The big twist near the end was pretty predictable if you know anything about the comics, but the post-credits scenes are amazing and make me beyond excited to see what becomes of them in future movies! Overall, this is a must-see for any Marvel fans, but even if you aren’t one this is a solid action-comedy with a lot of humour and a lot of heart for the whole family. Highly recommended. Expand

You can do it again. The film is over, the credits are over and we go outside excitedly.

Before we start, I'll get the minus point out of the way, because the film has a small weakness. More precisely, there are individual moments that drag each other a little too much.

But that's it ..... About the rest, I can only say: bombastic. The spider delivered a really awesome film that does so much right.

The actors are all of a good standard. Above all, Tom Holland plays really outstanding.

Visually the film is impressive. Scenes that only astonish you.

From a narrative point of view, it's all very well thought out and nicely resolved.

After I would place Homecoming in the middle field, Far From Home really convinced me. This film is one of the best in the MCU.

Top performance Spidey.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. After Endgame, I thought the Marvel Cinematic Universe has ended. I didn't know the meaning of culmination back then. I used to think it means the final movie. So when I heard about Spider-Man: Far From Home releasing, I thought it's just gonna be to show from the perspective of one superhero as to how life has changed since the reverse snap. Since Endgame was 3 hours long they couldn't exactly show much about it from the point of view of the civilians, this movie could do it much better. After all, it's about Peter going to Europe (a place other than America) for a trip.

The only reason why I watched this movie is because it's Spider-Man. If it were any other superhero I'd have skipped it. Turns out it's a lot better than what everyone was saying it to be. There are a lot of things I liked about this movie, mainly Spider-Man himself. I really like Tom Holland's Spider-Man because of how much developed his suit is. Even if he just leaves his body idle the suit will allow him to continue fighting on his own. All those web mods are very interesting. I have talked about it in depth in my Spider-Man: Homecoming review so I don't feel like writing it again.

The movie really panders on the emotions for those who were fans of Iron Man. He has multiple references everywhere, since he was the mentor of Peter. Peter gets Tony's glasses as a gift from him which allow him to see many digital stuff. It actually draws many parallels between Tony and Peter, as to how they were both geniuses who have an AI-operated suit that helps them fight intensely powerful bad guys. Peter always looked up to Tony as his mentor, and in this movie it has been shown very appropriately.

Another thing this movie has shown very well is the life after the reverse snap. Many of our questions get answered over here. What happened to the people who came back is answered, how people are reacting, and most importantly what is to come for the Avengers. Iron Man, Black Widow, Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, Captain Marvel - all of them are gone now. Only Spider-Man can be in contact of the Avengers in case a threat is to come on earth. And this brings me to why Mysterio is a good villain in this movie.

Ever since the snap people have been traumatised. There could be any amount of danger coming in from any place and of any intensity. Seeing some monsters in Europe was enough to scare the people, and Mysterio used this opportunity to portray himself as the hero. Even Spider-Man became his fan seeing his work. Although he did learn about the truth later, Mysterio continued to be brave. The focus over here was to target Peter's friends and not the world. The stakes here were completely different.

Normally whenever there are any threats for a superhero, it's always on a big level: Someone is attacking the city, a family is in danger or the villain wants to take over the world. Here, however, the stakes are that Peter's friends are in danger. Since we have seen them for so long, we had grown fond of them. A threat to them will mean a lot more to us than the threat to a European city. And that's exactly what happens in this movie. This is the kind of a fresh air this movie is able to provide after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

In my opinion this should have been the last MCU movie. The end of the franchise is that everyone now knows who Spider-Man is and all the other Avengers have left earth. So now Peter has become the next Tony. It would have been a huge turnaround since Iron Man, as that movie was the one which showed for the first time that a hero doesn't need to hide their identity. This is a fun movie that can be enjoyed even if one hasn't watched Endgame, since everyone knows about the snap at this point.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Far From Home is a sequel that’s about as good as its predecessor was, giving us a “franchise reboot franchise”, if you will, that’s been consistently good. The first MCU movie that takes place in a post-Endgame world, Far From Home does what it needs to: reminds us of the results and ramifications of Endgame but is also a story of its own, and it does all of that well. One of the best things about the movie is that it incorporates a lot of the elements of Homecoming: a teenage boy having girl and “extracurricular commitment” problems, and trying to find a way to balance the two. Via this, FFH succeeds in being yet again a relatable movie for younger audiences while also containing some adult moments that viewers need to be a bit more mature to understand. Tom Holland delivers a great performance yet again as Peter Parker, and does a nice job of portraying the emotions that Peter is going through in this post-Endgame world. FFH has much more emotional depth than Homecoming did, and is able to achieve this thanks to the script, acting and direction. Familiar faces are welcome appearances in the movie, some we’ve seen a lot of in the MCU and one who hasn’t been around for a while. Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio has a twist to him that is sure to keep viewers engaged and interested and goes to show how looks can be deceiving and that you can never trust a book by it’s cover. Tony Stark has a lot of influence in this movie despite his fate in Endgame, but the movie does a good job of not feeling too tied to him and making sure to focus on Peter and continue his story. My biggest criticism of FFH is that it feels misplaced and like it should’ve come out at a different time. FFH is technically the end of the Infinity Saga, but for me it should’ve been the start of Phase 4. Endgame gave us the satisfying conclusion to the saga that we needed and FFH just feels unnecessary in that regard as its end isn’t cathartic in the way that Endgame’s was. Having FFH kick off Phase 4 and come out later in 2019 would’ve given fans more time to process Endgame and prepare for the next chapter of the MCU to begin. That said, though, Far From Home is still entertaining and action-packed and a solid sequel to Homecoming. Expand

You might think Sony would have made enough money this year with "Morbius" being the highest-grossing movie of all time, but I guess 200 morbillion dollars at the box office didn't satisfy the corporate overlords. Physical sales not included.

As the ending point to the MCUs third (and overall best) phase of overwhelming content onslaught, "Far From Home" has the responsibility of being a good sequel to "Homecoming", wrapping up the Infinity saga and making way for more sequels to come. Thankfully, it achieved all of that pretty nicely.

Now, it has come to my attention that this movie is a bit controversial among some fans, which I absolutely don't get, because this movie is pretty dang good. It misses the down-to-earth vibe that made "Homecoming" so great, but it offers a lot of new directions to keep things fresh and interesting. A road trip movie with Spider-Man is very unusual for a character that is well known for being a New Yorker through and through, but this Spidey has also been to literal SPACE and fought a giant grape on a planet with weird gravity fluctuations, so yeah. Peter Parker aka Spider-Man faces a lot of new challenges throughout this movie: Being compared to his now legendary mentor figure who saved pretty much all of existence, dealing with the aftermath of being killed and revived again, getting recruited by shapeshifting aliens, being handed sunglasses that could wipe out entire cities, being emotionally manipulated by a super model and his crew of Phase 4 VFX artists (seriously, give them a goddamn break, Feige) and the most brutal and hardcore struggle a teenage boy could ever deal with: Asking his crush out. So yeah, pretty average highschool stuff.

This movie is almost Spider-Man 2 levels of what I call "Peter Parker getting screwed by almost everything and everyone in his life" which makes it both hilarious and also a little sad. I felt so bad for this innocent boy who just wants to enjoy his vacation and still has to deal with the MCUs stupid-ass shenanigans. It also helps that Tom Holland is such a great actor for both Peter and Spider-Man who comes with his own youthful charisma.

And then we have Jake Gyllenhall, playing Quentin Beck aka Mysterio and lemme tell ya, he's PERFECT. Arrogant, petty, charismatic, a brilliant liar and schemer, his costume design isnvery comic book accurate and...I mean, he's played by Jake Gyllenhall. No wonder he's so good. A real threat to our hero and a Top 3 Spider-Man movie villain next to Alfred Molina as Doc Ock and Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin. Supporting cast is also pretty great: Ned and Betty are hilarious, Aunt May and Happy are weirdly wholesome, the teachers of Midtown Tech deserve their own Disney+ show and Flash Thompson really needs some parental affection. #JusticeForFlash

My biggest shoutout however goes Out to Michelle Jones-Watson (played by Zendaya), who finally gets some more spotlight and is a great love interest for Peter. They are both so sweet together, it's giving me diabetes. Also, can we talk about the action in this movie? The elemental attacks, the illusion scenes (straight out of the comics), the whole bridge fight? This movie has some the MCUs most creative action! Shang-Chi is a bit better, but still. Michael Giacchinos score is great, as es per usual. The MCUs Spider-Man theme slaps even Harder then the Homecoming version and the Mysterio theme is surprisingly complex. Also, the final fight music ("Tower of Cower") is a straight BOP.

Oh, and before I forget: The new Red and black Spidey suit is soooo damn clean, one of my favorite Spidey suits ever, next to the Insomniac suit and TASM2 suit.

So yeah, very fun and engaging Spider-Man movie with a lot of heart, I love it. If you didn't like it, give it another chance and you might change your opinion. Not gonna lie, pretty excited to review "No Way Home" next, especially now that I need something to wash away that feeling of terror and disgust that "She-Hulk" has left on me.

(Seriously, Marvel. Please get a grip already, this year has been pretty rough for the MCU.)

Spider-Man Far from home is a tough movie to review.

It was always going to be a tough film to get right since it follows up from the cinematic behemoth which was Endgame, and to go from stakes that involved the universe, down to your friendly neighborhood Night-Monkey (tiny spoilers), it was always going to come down with a bit of a crash.

However, all things considered, I think it is safe to say that Jon Watts handled this transition well. No, the film isn't perfect, nor do i feel it manages to maintain the standards set by Endgame, but to expect that is frankly unrealistic.

What this film is though, is another excellent outing of Tom Hollands lovable Peter Parker. If you are a fan of Marvel, Holland, or Spider-Man as a whole, you will enjoy this film.

There are specific criticisms that I have for the film, but the majority of them are plot related, and also very much personal impressions/understandings, and therefore not entirely relevant when deciding the quality of the film. I also do not intend to spoil any plot in this review.

Overall, it is funny, charming, exciting and thoroughly entertaining with some small weaknesses in the writing and plot direction. 8/10, thoroughly recommended to fans of the genre.

Its so hard to be impressed in the well worn genre especially with this character having kick started the superhero reboots back in 2002. Inexplicably though this MCU/sony collaboration really works and again plays to the comedic strengths of tom holland and the talented supporting cast from SM homecoming. While I enjoyed this far more than I expected, I felt it was missing that special moment to really exceed my expectations and really deliver a more impactful storyline or touching performance. I laughed a lot throughout this film and marvel really have nailed the action side of the genre in 2019. Cant wait to see where they go next!

I love Spider-Man, he has and always will be my favourite superhero. And after watching this film, for me, Tom Holland has become the quintessential live-action Spider-Man, he fits the role like a glove.

This film balances the funny moments with the more serious/sad scenes really well. I wouldn't say it's laugh out loud hilarious, but I was chuckling at quite a few scenes and some line deliveries. The action was great and the final big fight was particularly cool and fun to watch.

Some may not enjoy the teen romance elements to the film but I liked it a lot, Tom Holland and Zendaya have great chemistry on screen so none of their scenes together felt awkward or bad. It's tough to say where I put this film in terms of best Spider-Man films, I'll have to watch it again to see how I feel.

Tom Holland once again returns as Peter Parker, five years after half the universe's population was decimated by Thanos, Parker, and some of his friends (who must also have been affected since they haven't aged that much) are getting ready to go on their trips abroad. Peter tells Ned (Jacob Batalon) that he plans to spend some romantic time with MJ (Zendaya) and confess his love for her, while on these romantic destinations. It seems that his romantic plans are about to be put in jeopardy as S.H.I.E.L.D. director, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) recruits Spider-Man on some big scale missions with a powerful being named Quentin Beck (Jake Gyllenhaal) by his side. There are Elementals scattered across the globe, and it's up to both Spidey and "Mysterio" to stop them. I really enjoyed this movie, director John Watts (who also directed 'Spider-Man: Homecoming') does a much better job at crafting some intense action scenes, with the added emotional levels to keep you gripped. The supporting characters are also better utilized here than in the previous film. The film does a good job at keeping you hooked with the character drama, not to mention that seeing Spidey's struggle in a world without Iron Man can often remind you of the emotional intensity that was present throughout 'Avengers: Endgame' (2019). Holland does a terrific job at portraying the nervous high school kid who must balance his life as a hero. I had a lot of fun watching this movie, and if you are a fan of the character, Mysterio, Jake Gyllenhaal (who gives a great performance) will not disappoint you. This is a summer action movie not to be missed. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Enjoyable, quality Marvel movie. As Mysterio deals with fire monster, it felt like the movie was over and I thought, "huh - feels like we never really got somewhere worthy". So when the twist came about who Mysterio was and what was really happening, it was a fun surprise and reward to keep watching. Didn't really enjoy the "house of mirror" illusions that kept going on and on as Spiderman was bombarded with these. And to say that big scenes could just be an illusion takes away from the audiences willingness to suspend disbelief as we watch big special effects and care about what's happening. Then in 2nd end credit scene when we learn that Fury and his assistant weren't really who we thought they were, again it's compromising on the audience's trust. Kinda like in the show Rosanne, when she tells her audience after like 10 seasons that everything they watched and cared about was just in her mind, and things were actually very different. A betrayal of the audience. All that said, the movie was entertaining, and glad I saw it. Certainly not one of the best Marvel movies, but a good one! Expand

It depicts Peter Parker dealing with life after the events of the previous two Avengers movies. While on vacation, he teams up with Jake Gylenhaal's Mysterio to tackle some new world-ending threats, but then he discovers that his new friend isn't who he seems. Once again, Tom Holland is amazing as Peter Parker, as is Gylenhaal as Mysterio. The action is much more entertaining and polished than in Homecoming. While being a superhero action movie, it is also an amusing teen comedy. Zendaya's MJ is amazing, and the chemistry between her and Peter is fun to watch. The rest of the supporting cast is superb as well. his Spider-Man sequel is a delightful first entry in the new era of the MCU. Expand

Mysterio is good villain and plot twists are amazing too.
EDIT after watching second time: I enjoyed it. Visuals are amazing. Does not move character too forward but has twist ending.

Dont get me wrong, I still like this movie, but I wanted to love it. The movie tries way too hard to make you laugh constantly that it feels like you can never take it seriously. Homecoming, as well as other Spider-Man movies, at least balance out the humour with serious and emotional moments. But onto the positives, like Homecoming, Tom Holland and the rest of the cast gives great performances and the story overall is really cool. I like how it takes place in Europe rather than New York, which is very unique for a Spider-Man movie. Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio is great; I like how rather than being a straight up villain from the get go he appears to be a good guy. But its pretty predictable that he was going to turn against Peter. The action in the movie is great, especially those scenes where Peter/Spider-Man is moving through Mysterio's visions (those scenes are simply amazing and should have been way longer). Overall its a good movie that Spidey and MCU fans will still enjoy, despite maybe being a little too heavy on jokes. Expand

The villain is different. His motive becomes clear in the middle of the movie. I find all the links to Tony Starks interesting in the context of Endgame. The FX is decent, but somewhat lessen by the action scenes. Yes, the action is kind of confusing and fast. I didn't like the night scenes. It does get better in the last 1/3 of the movie. The movie has a good implementation of funny moments, but again, it exploits sometimes this element a lot that ridicules the Spider-Man character who does not a big personal growing. Besides, the actress who represents MJ does not finish fitting with total naturalness. In other words, the movie is better than the previous one since it has better action scenes, a better villian and a better recreation of the spider-man universe spite of we cannot find a spider-man that convinces a lot as a superhero totally.

Turns out audiences are not the only ones who need to recover from the furore of recent events in the MCU (not least Thanos’ genocidal antics now christened in-universe as ‘The Blip’). Spider-Man: Far From Home sees our titular hero take a well-earned rest as he embarks on a school trip to Europe with his friends. He doesn’t even pack his trusty suit… it’s time for a bit of normality. Of course, events don’t quite turn out as expected and Peter is dragged swiftly back into the world-saving game, this time to battle the multidimensional Elementals and other hidden and perhaps even more dangerous enemies. Much of the creative talent behind 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming return for this spirited and entertaining sequel that ends up being satisfying both for its character and in its place in the ever-widening MCU. Tom Holland dons the webbed suit yet again as Spider-Man; if he wasn’t brilliant before, this time he seems even more comfortable in the role, delivering a charming, vulnerable and seemingly effortless performance. Director Jon Watts also returns proving himself to be a sure hand, his clear vision for the film shining through with distinctive style. There’s a notable new addition however in writers Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers who deliver a smart script, often hilarious and always genuine. Far From Home is certainly a Spider-Man film on a sheer scale we haven’t seen before; largely, it’s handled quite well, remaining mostly grounded amid globe-trotting and narrative twists and turns. Occasionally, we lose some of the cohesion and it feels a little overstuffed and expository, but honestly this film is so fast-paced and energetic you can’t help but enjoy the ride even when everything doesn’t quite jell. Equally, there are far too many brilliant aspects to take in; take for instance the seamless action sequences which are neatly interchanged with intimate and believable drama. The temptation with movies of this kind is to fall into mindless action and forget the substance but Far From Home keeps its characters purely at its heart. There’s nice references, for example, to Endgame that really inform Peter’s arc in the film and provide the film’s understated yet decidedly emotional impact. Whilst the overall package might not be as tight as its predecessor, Far From Home makes appropriate attempts to hone in on some characters and narrative vignettes in more detail (for example, Zendaya’s MJ is far more fleshed out here and Peter’s own sense of identity and responsibility is thoughtfully explored). Again, it’s not all plain sailing; Jake Gyllenhaal’s Syndrome-esque Mysterio is very hit and miss, his great moments bogged down by some of the lesser writing and obligatorily clunky exposition.
In the end, however, Spider-Man: Far From Home is an impressive film, more than making up for its faults. It’s fiercely entertaining, packed full of humour, action thrills and plenty of unexpected twists to keep the audience gripped (speaking of which, stay for two critical post-credits scenes). Equally, there’s some fantastic visual effects work that sometimes even echoes of the illusionary sequences in Doctor Strange. Jon Watts and his team deliver a satisfying sequel here full of interesting choices yet still staying true to the style established in Homecoming. Ultimately, regardless of its position in the Marvel canon, Far From Home has all the elements of the perfect summer popcorn movie; action thrills, big laughs, a likeable cast and brilliant visuals really allow it to recover from momentary snags and reach the finish line in splendour. Expertly crafted and with an unabashed sense of fun, Spider-Man: Far From Home is an assured Marvel instalment that hungers for a rewatch.

The movie picks up shortly after Avengers: Endgame and does a good job at continuing the Marvel Cinematic Universe into it's next phase, paying homage to lost Avengers and moving forward with it's remaining characters. The movie is lighthearted and funny. Tom Holland (Peter Parker / Spider-Man) and Jake Gyllenhaal (Quentin Beck / Mysterio) carry the film with exceptional acting. Special effects were awesome, especially for Mysterio's bit. And you'll want to stay after the movie for two after-credit scenes. One is half way after the credits (having huge circumstances), and the other at the very end. Overall, I quite enjoyed the movie. Spider-Man Homecoming was a bit better in my opinion, only because Michael Keaton did such a great job as The Vulture. However, Far From Home was still a great entry into the series. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Spider-Man: Far From Home is definetely one of the best movies in the MCU. Characters were handled properly, their arcs were nice, acting and chemistry of actors were amazing... This movie was better than Homecoming in every single way. Actions scenes were fantastic, Mysterio exceeded my expectations and turned out to be one of the best thing about the movie. Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Holland's portrayal of their respective characters should be an example to upcoming superhero movies. Narrative of the movie was done well although the first half of the movie felt a little bit underwhelming, second half made everything better and carried the events on a much higher place. The only thing I didn't like about this movie was how Nick Fury and his collegues were dealt with. However, the reason behind it was reasonable since Fury and Hill had been replaced by Talos and his wife Soren (Skrulls). Also I don't really get why Marvel bothered to put a Muslim student in Peter's class with no dialogues and effect on the story. In a universe full of aliens, Norse Gods, Celestial beings etc. it is just stupid feels forced (same goes for any religious figures). At last, I couldn't be any happier for Marvel recasting J.K. Simmons as Jameson. His appearance was unexpected and made me joyful. The cliffhanger around mid-credits were unexpected and left many people shocked. One thing I am absolutely sure about is they have to give us a new Spidey movie as soon as possible and I am looking forward to it. Expand

Character of Spiderman first created in 1962.In 2002 comic turned into a live action venture and theaters have witnessed 8 (non animated) blockbusters so far in last 17 years. It has been a long but fantastic journey Tobey Maguire to Andrew and Andrew to Tom Holland. In present Tom is wearing the red and blue spandex.Which we have seen last in Avengers Endgame. The latest installment of spiderman says the story of world after avengers.

Avengers have gone and some of died. Now the only responsible man to save the world is Spiderman.Peter Parker (Tom Holland) face the same question everywhere that he is the new Iron man.But he still doesn't know why his mentor Tony choosed him to be an avenger. He has bored by fighting with goons and took a break in a school Europe tour.During his Europe trip he got a call from Nick Fury (Samuel Jackson) and his picnic turned into an adventure trip. How will he enjoy with his bestie Ned leeds (Jacob Batalon) and how purpose his gf MJ (Zendaya) While encounter the avengers' level dangers is interesting.

Tom Holland perfectly portrayed a teen age spiderman who has more responsibilities after the demise of Iron Man.Robert Dawney is not the part of this movie. But some scenes beautifully describe the relation between Peter and Tony.Jake Gyllenhaal
as Mysterio looks impactful.Jake's character has two shades which I'm not revealing in review. On the otherhands Jon Favreau,Marisa Tomei and Jacob are the comic relaxations.Samuel and Cobie Smulders started where they left in avengers.Overall actors are fit in their roles.Recently director Jon watts revealed that last year he got the idea to shoot Far from home as much as possible location. He covered beautiful locations of Venice,Berlin,
Prague and London which promote spidey globally.Advance cinematography and graphics increase fun of adventure.Director finished the movie in 2 hours with his tight editing. Some light scenes of school trip make you laugh and then suddenly fierce attacks give thrill and suspense. Costume designer Anna Sheppard made Spiderman to tried 4 suits in movie. Although, despite such powers and high tech iron spider suits,Spiderman still shoots web to move from one place to another.Far from home is also revolves around the misuse of technology and the sacrifices to being a superhero.People had the problem with Marvel Universe's Captain Marvel about its low quality dubbing. But this time makers really worked on dubbing and Hindi dubbing version is pretty good. With no cheap jokes Vaibhav Takkar's voice over is absolutely marvelous piece.

Peter Parker was naive in Civil War.Now it seems that he was destined to be a new Iron Man.MCU fans can upset those expecting the Endgame like action. Overall Spiderman Far From Home leaves us with the future predictions of MCU and the satisfaction that marvel comics is in safe hands of teen avenger.
