Ok, I get the hate, but it's not as bad as other people say it is, the first half when theyre on the island with the valcano is really good, but as soon as they get to the auction, it's all downhill from there.

I liked Indoraptor chase scene in the house. It would be little different from another Jurassic movies, but I enjoyed because it's trying something different but not too far.

I only ever hear bad things about this movie, some argue it’s the worst of all 5/6 (not seen dominion yet) but I disagree I sat there watching this film wondering how long it’d take me to be bored or remember why this film isn’t liked. There’s a few goofy moments like when Miles has the money going up in his glasses reflection but apart from that and the character of Franklin, the movie isn’t really goofy or annoying. The final fight scene with the Indoraptor and the protagonists is a bit boring, I’ve never really liked it, I think it’s just the setting, plus the inconsistencies with the Indoraptor’s ‘heightened’ sense of smell and other attributes it allegedly has but doesn’t use.

Overall I like this movie more than Jurassic World, it feels like a remake of The Lost Word, and as it sets up the final film in the saga, it does well enough for me to warrant a high rating.

I put Fallen Kingdom at number 3/5 (excluding dominion for now, will revisit after I see the film later) behind the original and The Lost World.… Expand

First of all i'm just gonna say that i was not a big fan of the previous movie (Jurassic World), and turn into this i was kinda mixed, not only knowing what happen in the first Jurassic World, but the character which is gonna return in thisFirst of all i'm just gonna say that i was not a big fan of the previous movie (Jurassic World), and turn into this i was kinda mixed, not only knowing what happen in the first Jurassic World, but the character which is gonna return in this and if you don't know i was also not a big fan of all the character in the first Jurassic World movie including Owen and Claire, and boy do this movie surprise me, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom feels like a completely different film from the previous one, compare to the previous Jurassic World, Fallen Kingdom is a massive massive improvement, with J. A. Bayona took the director chair now, it seems like he was the one the supposed to do the whole next Jurassic World movie, not only it feels and look different, the characterisation that he direct make me feel completely different with all the character especially Owen and Claire, i really into them in this one, they both are much better and i can say great, really really great, and thank god we did not have another boring child character like in the previous one, we now got Franklin and Zia who both work with Claire, they some type of Hacker and all that stuff related to computer, and they both are just entertaining, not boring, and their appearance was pleasant to me, especially Franklin who i really really like and enjoy, and of course the last one is the return of Jeff Goldblum, he didn't got a lot of part, but he was already making it better, the first half of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is perfect, it fills with a fantastic action scene or more of like escaping scene, all the dinosaur are much better CGI than the last one, the final act of the movie was kinda a bit of a let down for me, it's not bad, it just somehow lost a bit of a excitement, but still overall Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was a big and huge pleasant improvement from the last one, this is the real exciting continuation of the Jurassic Park/World franchise.… Expand

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was a guarantee for me and my group of friends for another trip to the cinema. The previous film was good, so why not try the next part. I even expected that the previous film would not surpass it, but in the end the film became the same quality for me as the previous part. The story is again no glory, no masterful music, but the event here is again and is luxurious again. Of course, dinosaurs look gorgeous, and this series simply relies on CGI, which is number one. So if you liked the Jurassic World of the previous one, I see no reason why the Extinction of the Empire shouldn't have, even though my friend was crazy about dinosaurs, with whom I was in the previous film, he didn't enjoy it so much anymore. So if this is a worse part, it's hard to say. But for me, this is as good a film as the previous one, which I can recommend.… Expand

If you asked me to describe any of the characters in the original Jurassic World beyond their one-note personality quirks, I'd come up completely blank. If you were to ask me to describe the characters in Fallen Kingdom, however, I could go on forever. Claire Dearing is the Dr. Frankenstein of the film; passionate, proactive and blinded by her own ambitions, hubris and sense of righteousness. Her entire reputation, everything she's grown into since the events of Jurassic World, any chance she has at personal redemption for the lives lost on Isla Nublar 3 years ago, hinges on her saving the animals she once viewed as nothing more than corporate assets. She is driven by her emotions (Particularly her deep seated personal guilty), passions and code of ethics rather than merely plot convenience or cold, unconditional logic as was the case in the original Jurassic World. This makes her character far more relatable and human and her errors in decision making a lot more forgivable and understandable. Her arc from self-tortured and arrogant martyr to willing and humble hero is handled with a surprising degree of subtlety that not many critics have given her credit for. Owen Grady also benefits from a stronger characterization in Fallen Kingdom, we get to see more of his relationship with Blue and understand why and how he formed such a strong relationship with her. Fallen Kingdom does an excellent job establishing Owen as a man outside of and uncomfortable with the civilized world, exhausted with the pretensions and self righteousness of his fellow human beings. The honesty, trust and unconditional love he's shared with Blue since birth means the world to him and his love for her is the one thing he has left that's truly worth fighting for. Because the cast is playing actual characters this time around rather than merely hollow archetypes, the performances improve tenfold. Bryce Dallas Howard is allowed to be confident, fervent and passionate in her vocal delivery. Chris Pratt is allowed to be emotionally vulnerable and nuanced in his facial acting.

Even the dinosaurs have more character here than they had in Jurassic World; Blue's mini-arc of feeling distrust and abandonment from Owen to repairing their broken relationship is certainly more character development than any terrible lizard of Jurassic Park movies prior and the Indoraptor has both an odd sense of tragedy and unique, slasher villain-esque aesthetic that give her a real sense of identity that the Indominus Rex lacked.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom possesses possibly the most striking and memorable aesthetic of any Jurassic Park film to date. The tone feels deliciously Gothic horror inspired with some beautifully chilling and dark imagery that really captures the feeling of terror and majesty held in the Crichton books. In an age where so many Hollywood blockbusters are so unbearably dull in their visuals, Fallen Kingdom retaining the style of a Gothic monster movie is as refreshing as it is gorgeous to take in. Also, it's definitely worth mentioning than the effects have improved significantly from Jurassic World, in large part due to the combination of CGI and animatronics and the darker pallete.

Finally, I wish to discuss the film's ending and the character of Maisie, both of which have been under heavy scrutiny and both of which I loved. Isabella Sermon is one of the most endearing, ranged and talented child actresses I've seen since Danielle Harris and she does a phenomenal job handling her character's slow and methodical unraveling or her traumatizing origins. Maisie also brings real weight to the film's ethical question and a legitimate argument for why humanity shouldn't let the dinosaurs die. Maisie's creation as a clone was by all means unethical. However, this does not mean that killing or abandoning her would be the responsible decision to such an ethical mistake. This is why Maisie has to be the one to set them free into the world; she understands the ethical mistake behind their creation, but also that the murky ethical circumstances behind them is not necessarily their fault. She has an empathy for these creatures that none of the other humans do. The dinosaurs in Fallen Kingdom having much more in the way of characterization and personality already established the foundation for this argument and Maisie makes that argument all the more difficult to answer.

If you had told me a year ago that I would be praising a Jurassic World sequel as the 2nd best in the entire franchise, I would have called you crazy. But, lo and behold...Here we are. I love this film to the point where I could defend it for hours. I love the themes, I love the performances, I love the characters, I love the effects. I loved it. I loved it. I'll keep saying it if you want me too.… Expand

Le premier Jurassic World était la représentation de la démesure hollywoodienne. Dans un contexte futuriste il nous poser la question de comment Hollywood pouvez encore nous rendre les films attractifs alors que nous surprendre deviens de plus en plus difficile.
Celui-ci se veut plus cool et nous amène dans une aventure qui prend pour sujet [spoiler] la protection des animaux à l'échelle des dinosaures [/spoiler] ! Et j'avoue c'est actuelle et surtout moins critique que le premier qui était critique envers ces propres unités de création, puisque "oui" Jurassic Wordl est produit par la machine Hollywoodiene..
Dans ce nouvel épisode, les personnages sont intéressants. Tout en utilisant les mêmes codes, le réalisateur réussit à les présentés de la même manière en changeant le contexte. Je dois dire que cela fonctionne très bien!
Une mise en scène fabuleuse sur certains moments particuliers. Notamment les passages de surprise[spoiler] les griffes qui s'approche [/spoiler] , les angles de caméra exceptionnel, ou les cinématiques sans cut.
[spoiler] Les mâchoires qui se referment [/spoiler] ce n'est pas surprenant certes, mais ça fonctionne toujours aussi bien sur moi.
Un Dolby Atmos particulièrement efficace sur certaines scènes spécifiques.
Une 3D inutile.
Des musiques..
Bref j'aime les dinosaures j'aime ce film.
En grand fan j'envie cette fin "La nouvelle ère véritable" !
Je m'intéresse du coup au futur choix "Post apocalyptique" ou "La chute d'un empire" #Hollywood
Et du coup peut-être une des meilleures trilogies ?

In Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the park may be gone, but dinosaurs are definitely here to stay. Fallen Kingdom is the fifth entry in the Jurassic Park film franchise and the second within the Jurassic World trilogy, and while it features the most amount of dinosaurs out of all the previous films, don’t be fooled because the film takes place in only a few very specific locations and features the least amount of dinosaur action out of all of the movies. Yet, despite the very minimal action, the permanent set pieces and of course its fair share of charm and charisma, Fallen Kingdom is a Jurassic film unlike any we have seen before.

Much of this might have to do with the inclusion of the franchise’s newest film director, Spanish filmmaker J.A. Bayona. Bayona, who has previously directed The Orphanage, The Impossible and A Monster Calls, has quite an imaginative and generous eye when it comes to offering the embellished perspective of children, which, for many people such as myself, would warrant well for a refreshing take on a franchise that has been around for almost twenty-five years and on its fifth entry. Also, given the fact that many people who were first introduced to Michael Crichton’s world of dinosaurs with Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park in 1993 were only just children or young adults, really plays well with an audience that is all grown up. Luckily for audiences, Bayona allows all of us old, matured, geeked out, nostalgia driven cinephiles to indulge in a film that is both the epitome of blockbuster/popcorn entertainment film, as well as a self-aware and respectable ode to some of our favourite monster movies.

What makes Fallen Kingdom so consuming is the fact that Bayona treats the dinosaurs like monsters for just a couple minutes, but like any good classic monster movies, Frankenstein for example, the monster begins to resonate with audiences and become much more than just visual and visceral entertainment set pieces. For the first time in the cannon of the Jurassic series, the dinosaurs gain as much empathy as any if not more than the human characters we know or have grown to love.

This love for the dinosaurs sets up the very relevant narrative in very pleasing fashion, especially since, the newly created dinosaurs of Jurassic World are threatened by a recently active volcano on Isla Nublar. And while political and government officials all over the world are trying to figure out if these creatures are actually worth saving from extinction…again, this threat allows a chance for redemption for our characters from Jurassic World. In comes in Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), the former honcho of the recently closed Jurassic World Amusement Park, who now has a career for the preservation of the dinosaurs species. So when the world decides that they are going to watch and allow the creatures to face their deadly fate, Claire is unexpectedly contacted by Benjamin Lockwood (James Cromwell), the silent partner to John Hammond’s original Jurassic Park. Lockwood’s extraction plan for the dinosaurs is headed by the idealistic pretty-boy Eli Mills (Rafe Spall), whose sharp suits heavily contrasts the safari inspired outfits of all the other human characters. Lockwood, who entrusts Mills with the whole operation, informs Claire that in order for the extraction to be fully successful, it is essential that they retrieve the second smartest creature on the planet next to human beings, Blue the Velociraptor. Yet, as much as they have already tried, capturing Blue seems close to impossible without the help of our Indiana Jones inspired hero Owen Grady (Chris Pratt), who aside from being the best dinosaur wrangler on the planet, also has the advantage of raising blue from infancy.

While Owen, Claire and a few more new faces travel back to the Island, and face dinosaurs, active volcanoes and the basis of Murphy’s law, their efforts to retrieve all the animals from the island are never what it seems.

While Fallen Kingdom does take the dinosaurs our of the park, or in this case the fictional island of Isla Nublar, the looming doom and impending danger of the park is never absent and much of this danger is thanks to the wonderful vision of Bayona as well as a masterful score by Michael Giacchino. Giacchino, who elevates the original John Williams score in ways no one would ever think possible, raises the stakes and sonically charges the world of human eating creatures into a glorious manifestation of wonder and beauty. Fallen Kingdom really allows the composer to stretch his muscles and show why he is one of the best contemporary composers in film today.… Expand

Because people will kill these dinosaurs roaming free like that at the end of the movie. Hunters will kill them all. And also because if they kill humans, they will be killed. It just keeps on getting better with these films! I’m usually not a fan of these “hybrid dinosaurs”, but the Indoraptor certainly changed my opinion - that last fight with Blue was brilliantly choreographed. 8/10.

It is preposterous, and there are huge logical inconsistencies and plot holes, but because it embraces its place as a lean, B-caliber monster movie, Jurassic World 2 doesn't get the deservedly unkind comparisons to Spielberg's work in the series.

Very good movie. The dinosaurs were top-notch and the set-pieces were great. The plot was pretty good and it moved the franchise in a new direction. The Indoraptor was awesome and Blue is great.

Now in saying that, it's a huge disappointment because it's an alright follow up to the amazing classic that is Jurassic Park. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is one of the better sequels in the Jurassic Park series, then again the only movie it beats is Jurassic Park III, which isn't saying much. All the gripes people had about Jurassic World are back again, but this time much MUCH worse! Could we please be done with the weaponizing dinosaurs and genetic engineering sub-plots?! They weren't good the first time around and now they're even worse. These movies really need to learn how to handle their characters. There's no character development. Every character is the exact same from the last movie. Also, quit turning Jurassic Park into a monster movie franchise. Not one scene in this movie wowed me either, which is extremely unusual for a Jurassic Park movie. The shock and awe are apparently gone. It also doesn't help that you saw the whole movie in the last trailer. But aside from all of these negatives, ultimately you can go to this movie and be entertained for 2 hours. It also has a pretty interesting moral dilemma and does something at the end of the film that I'm really intrigued to see where they take it. So, yeah, it's a stupid monster movie with a lot of flaws, but it's entertaining. Is it worth the ticket price, well that's up to you? C-… Expand

Absolutely loved this movie. It was very entertaining and the dinosaurs were awesome. The action and characters were cool too. I really enjoyed the second half with its more horror like feel. Overall it moves the series in a new direction.

Great action and dino thrills. Really liked Owen and Claire in this movie as well as new additions Maisie and Zia. The Indoraptor was great. The movie moved the franchise in a new direction. Can't wait for the next one!

I can't understand the whole point of the bad critics. The movie is what it is and I believe everything was on point. I don't understand some of the negativity people have with this film. Its not perfect but its definitely not terrible. I really liked it and was entertained. The volcano sequence was really good and I loved the horror like elements to the film.

Most scenes have a familiarity aspect to them. Better than The Lost World and Jurassic Park 3 in my opinion. Not better than Jurassic World though. The main problem is the villains. Their motivations and actions seem to exist to further the plot rather than come off natural. This especially feels odd considering how straight murdery and cartoonishly evil they are. In the previous films, the antagonists were usually more nuanced, amoral and sometimes acting within legality. None of them were out to murder the protagonists. The severe switch in tone leaves the distinct taste of disconnect. The main antagonist is especially muddled in his or her execution. (The villain's identity is easy to predict, but since it is a reveal in the movie, I'll respect it and keep mum on details.) A lot of his dialogue is just exposition, including one reveal that comes off at the oddest moment in the film. Plus, the villain appeared to have access to other streams of revenue; he/shedidn't seem to need to take the risks of managing dangerous dinosaurs for profit.

There are also a few other plot issues: Hammond having a business partner and fellow misguided visionary no one's ever mentioned before, one character just abruptly disappears from the film in the third act, and the supporting protagonists are separated from the leads for way too long.

Still, there is a lot to enjoy. Pratt and Howard are both charming with some great lines. I thought the child actress did a pretty good job. I liked the nerdy guy who mentions the logical point throughout that they'll probably die. Even the villain does have one good scene with Howard and Pratt where he/she makes one sound argument.

The film looks and sounds pretty good. Director J.A. Bayona has a knack with visuals and there are some nice shots in this. The mansion that takes up a good portion of this film, which is part gothic residential quarters, dinosaur museum, and underground lab, is a really impressive setting. The music really sets a tone, including a dramatic spooky choral piece for the most dangerous dinosaur.… Expand

Cinematography: 8/10 Jurassic World flows and looks well with what is.

Costume Design: 7.519/10 There are films that place heavy emphasis on attire as a part of intentional design in elaborate ways. I'm becoming stricter with ratings here because attire really creates and contributes to different depths of understanding in certain films. It's not enough to dress a character like Indiana Jones or Wonder Woman then expect everyone to immediately accept them as adventurous or heroic. This adjustment will better help my developing understanding of storytelling as well.

Film Editing: 9/10 Film editing really helps a film become so much more of its intentional design as a complete project especially in a film with so many visual effects.

Make-up and Hair-styling: - /10 This area is tough to analyze when each area isn't so blatant. I'm going not applicable here. But - I will say, I feel as though each character interacting physically with the dinosaurs should be dirtier. Hey, I don't know dinosaur hygiene.

Sound Editing: 8.151/10 The sounds of the dinosaurs are on point. I want to experience the theme park for a more surrounding-wholesome experience.

Visual Effects: 9.491/10 Name another film with realistic dinosaurs living within realistic jungles about volcanic terrain.

Story: 8.959/10 The conversation of genetic manipulation is a touchy though important topic which is backbone to the Jurassic series.

Acting: 8.339/10 The acting works well with the film though the initial scientist with the remote in the beginning makes me question how the acting will be throughout the rest of the film. Talk about having the characters take turns. Not one character seems to have more over the other: there seems to be a balance of dialogue which I find interesting. I think Jurassic World does a good job of putting everyone under a spotlight whether in the depth of their role on a purposeful level or through dialogue.

Personal: Yes, I'm well aware franchises are not always looked upon with the greatest light. Still, I like dinosaurs and I've seen no other films which brings dinosaurs to life other than the Jurassic series (Please -  leave the Land Before Time series alone). There's a theme park which is the next step from the Jurassic films so people can have the Jurassic experience for their selves in real life. All the Jurassic series needs to do now is add a discount coupon to their theme park for everyone that watches their films. Seriously, I'll have more of an inclination to with a reminder. I'll always have an appreciation for the Jurassic series even with other dinosaur films within the field to appreciate.

Overall: 8.494/10

Good Movie, better that the first modern sequel (jurassic world 2015). I'have seen Jurassic World and I didn't like it one bit...dull , predictable and un-necessary but this one surprise me. It is full of action, fast paced, over theGood Movie, better that the first modern sequel (jurassic world 2015). I'have seen Jurassic World and I didn't like it one bit...dull , predictable and un-necessary but this one surprise me. It is full of action, fast paced, over the top...you will not find a realistic movie of course..it is most like a "fast and furios" with dinosurs: it deliver a good entertainment.
It cointains a lots of references from the first film Jurassic Park from 1993.

Good movie, not the best as Jurassic park, but not as bad as the JP3. VERY predictable, and a lot of what the heck moments. That one scene (we all know if you seen it) was so sad. Must stay for the post credit scene.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is a movie meant for the theater. The high points are I the CGI and the dinosaurs themselves. There is a lot of symbolism in the movie. Much of which has to do with evolution and that we are doomed to repeat the mistakes in the past. When the viewer watches for these it aids the slower points in the script. For instance, there is a point in the script where the protagonists emerge from the water to crawl onto a sandy beach. A clear nod to evolution. There is also constant lightning storms during the scenes where the bad guys are meddling with the power of genetics. A clear Frankenstein reference. The dinosaurs are believable and fantastic to behold. There is a lot of CGI in movies nowadays, but I have not seen natural movement from these creations in years. Clearly, the budget went to the guys and gals doing research, animation and animatronics. Fun movie for the summer. A blockbuster but not an Oscar winner. Go to see this one in the theater!… Expand

I really enjoyed this movie! The action starts right out of the gate and doesn’t stop. The island is getting ready to blow its top, thanks to a very angry volcano. John Hammond’s former partner has a plan to relocate all the dinos to aI really enjoyed this movie! The action starts right out of the gate and doesn’t stop. The island is getting ready to blow its top, thanks to a very angry volcano. John Hammond’s former partner has a plan to relocate all the dinos to a beautiful islamd where they can love out their lives in peace. So, they need to be rescued. As Owen says when he is asked to come along and save Blue, “What could go wrong?” Um, everything? And, of course, things start their downhill slide from there. However, the rescue is not all it’s cracked up to be, as Claire and Owen soon find out. Once the dinos leave the island, a new plan is revealed and the chaos moves to a new location. There are big teeth and big screams. Thrilling and heart stopping at times. I thoroughly enjoyed the ride!… Expand

It has been three years since “Jurassic World” kicked off a new trilogy of Dinosaur films and successfully rebooted the “Jurassic Park” series which had been dormant for over fourteen years. The new film “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom”It has been three years since “Jurassic World” kicked off a new trilogy of Dinosaur films and successfully rebooted the “Jurassic Park” series which had been dormant for over fourteen years. The new film “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” centers on an urgent need to save the dinosaurs from a pending volcanic eruption. This kicks off a huge debate as to the ethics about saving resurrected animals or simply letting them go extinct once again amongst government leaders.

Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) leads a group hoping to lobby support to save the animals and just when things look darkest, hope arrives with an offer from wealthy industrialist Benjamin Lockwood (James Cromwell), arrives. Lockwood worked with Sir John Hammond to create the creatures many years ago and despite a falling out, he remains passionate about protecting the creatures and wants Claire to help save some of the creatures and relocate them to a private sanctuary. Claire is needed as she has a radio frequency which will make locating and saving certain species easier and she is tasked to take Owen (Chris Pratt), with her to retrieve Blue the Velociraptor.
The fact that Owen and Claire are on the outs is a challenge but the chance to see and save Blue gets him to join the trip and they set off with a team to accomplish their task.
Things do not go as planned as it seems that there is a nefarious plan in place unbeknownst to the ailing Lockwood where animals are being captured in an effort to sell them as organic weapons and collectibles.

Things go into high-gear when it is learned why Blue is so important to the plan and with a new and very deadly species of Dinosaur introduced, things are about to get very dangerous.

If you have seen any of the prior films you will know that there will be plenty of Dinosaur carnage and destruction on hand and that the humans must face their own creations in a battle to survive.

The film takes what to me was a glaring hole in regards to why not simply make new creatures versus the debate over a rescue and gave it a very sobering and sadly understandable answer.

The effects in the film are first-rate and the film does hold your attention and provide some very exciting moments. Some may say that after five films it is hard to recapture the sense of wonder as after all; the film is bound to eventually become creatures on the loose with humans caught in the middle.

Director J.A. Bayona keeps things moving at a brisk pace and does have a script with a few nods to prior films in the series. While some may want to detract the film as mindless entertainment, the film is better than the two sequels to the original “Jurassic Park”, and does provide enough good moments to keep fans happy. I look forward to seeing what the next film in the series offers as this is pure summer entertainment at its best.

I watched the second part of Jurassic World or the fifth part of Jurassic Park, if you prefer. I was having a great time and despite many idiocys (not only in biological matters), the movie is holding up and grabbing my heart.

It attempts to be a bite tense and frightening than the ones before it, and it works to a degree, especially considering most of the "big moments" take place in confined spaces. It's obvious from the ending- and the money this film has made already- that the franchise isn't going extinct anytime soon, and it's going to be interesting to see how they pull off the next one. Overall it's enjoyable, it has some moments that make it better than the last one, but it doesn't even begin the reach the heights of the original Jurassic Park and your appreciation for this film may depend on how well you received Jurassic World and if you enjoy this new path their taking these films going forward.… Expand

Fun, but predictable.

Let’s get the obvious out of the way: No Jurassic movie is ever going to make you feel the way the first one did, ever. That was unique. I certainly felt like the decades of subsequent sequels had pushed me beyond theFun, but predictable.

Let’s get the obvious out of the way: No Jurassic movie is ever going to make you feel the way the first one did, ever. That was unique. I certainly felt like the decades of subsequent sequels had pushed me beyond the point of diminishing returns. Often throughout the film, I starred indifferently at the screen as yet another person was gobbled up when I knew that my jaw should be on the floor.

This round wasn’t nearly as bad as it could have been (certainly not the franchise’s worst) and it still scratches the itch of a fun summer movie. However, there’s only so much that you can do with dinosaurs and people fleeing for their lives before you feel like you’re going through the same, familiar motions.

All the protagonists and antagonists generally played their roles well, but I was pleasantly surprised by Franklin’s character in particular. At first he seemed like the cliché kid who was tagging along for the ride. However, early on he professionally delivers some well written humor that softened me towards his role. The motivation for our heroes and their “Save the Dinosaurs” movement was eye-rolling at times, particularly at the end, but it was bearable. A little disappointed that Jeff Goldblum didn’t really have a role in this movie beyond sitting in a Congressional hearing. Then again, you could argue that he was hanging out with the REAL dinosaurs.

There are plenty of nostalgia moments inter-woven in this movie, especially toward the end. Whether it’s an adult grabbing a child that’s catching their breath by surprise, the Raptor claw clicking the floor as it hunts the child, the child closing the shutter door before the Raptor gets them, or the small raptor fighting the bigger, T-Rex like one; the film pays tribute back to the original multiple times. But like I said at the top, you can’t out-do the master.

As long as you calibrate your expectations before going into the theater (I set mine to zero), you will have a good time. But if you are looking for an experience that will stick with you for decades to come, that was already done 25 years ago.… Expand

Jurassic World 2, or Jurassic Park 5? Yeah, it was very odd that this got mixed reviews to say the least. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom came out on the big screen. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom came out on the big screen. Many people are excited to see the dinosaurs again and for me as much as I liked the first Jurassic World, I actually really enjoyed this one. Yeah, I can't believe what I've just experienced! As far as I'm concerned, I think this one is as good as each other, well for the most part. This film takes place after the events of what happened back at Jurassic World 4 years ago, Owen and Claire are on the mission and that's it. It's the same thing as The Lost World: Jurassic Park and it has two scenes of Jeff Goldblum returning as Dr. Ian Malcolm. And you know what? I really don't mind this movie sequel as all. It has all the action packed scenes and it's action packed all the way through. I can't believe many of people and the kids are ready to see this movie! Many of them are terrified and the kids are not! I actually heard one of the audience whispering "Oh my God." There are many other scenes that I really loved when I went to cinema with my Dad and one of them are gripping and grim. One is where volcano erupts and Owen and Claire and all the dinosaurs running away. The second is the fact that the people who are actually b*****ds who wanted to sell dinosaurs and sent them for auction and the disturbing out of all of them is the Indoraptor has bitten the man's arm off. Seriously, didn't kids and parents find it to be grim? To me, it is. F***ing hell! Boom! Safety! Wow! I really don't know what to do! That's pretty intense! I am such a huge fan of Jurassic Park as a franchise and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is an enjoyable sequel. Not as fantastic as the first Jurassic World, it had some dumb moments which it was a dumb movie but it works and Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard did their great performances. The baddies are absolute b*****ds and that is what I should learn from The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Yeah, I know Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has it's flaws for being the same as the second Jurassic Park film but I just can't help but feel the enjoyment out of it and the action sequences are gripping as hell and I've heard they're making a third film or should I say a sixth film of the Jurassic Park franchise and I think this is going to be a last film that is to say it's going to be the same thing as Jurassic Park 3. Fans of Jurassic Park and World will appreciate those films for it's awesomeness and technically I think they are too. I keep expecting to see Sam Neill and Laura Dern to return for if many other films are not as good as the original Jurassic Park then Jurassic Park will never be the same without Sam Neill.… Expand

I'll give it a 7.

The set up is a bit (completely) ridiculous and I've have preferred one entirely set on an island again (however formulaic that might be)... but whatever. If you're going to Jurassic Park 5 you probably have a decent ideaI'll give it a 7.

While it carries a lot of the writing problems of its predecessor, in the realm of special effects, general visual design (it is dark and moody like a proper Jurassic movie should be, none of the bright blues and nonthreatening greens of Jurassic World), plot, music, and overall pacing, Fallen Kingdom is far superior. Critics and audiences historically have generally been unrealistically oppositional and antagonistic to Jurassic Park movies that stray from the initial premise of "Theme Park with Dinosaurs on it", so it should come as no surprise that Fallen Kingdom has generally reviewed worse than it's predecessor despite being the superior movie. If you're somebody who appreciates the vastly underrated The Lost World: Jurassic Park, you will probably like this movie as well. This movie takes risks that Jurassic World would never have dared to take, and, as with any blockbuster, it's important to go in with an open mind and not allow early reviews to shape your opinion of the film before you see it.… Expand
