I found it even better than the first movie. I couldn't ask for more from a movie. The wife also loved it. I will probably go see it again tomorrow.

Amazing sequel! The action is insane, the humor is ever present, the soundtrack continues the streak of great music and when its time to get serious all the characters deliver. Pratt gets more screen time this time around but not enough toAmazing sequel! Pratt gets more screen time this time around but not enough to take away from what/who Guardians is. I understand why GotG is not for everyone, some just don't get it and that's ok. I keep seeing comparisons to Winter Soldier which is a fantastic movie but treat Vol 2 for what it is, a brilliant movie. - The main villain looses his recognizable face, making it harder for the viewer to feel him as the bad guy.
- Yondu's arrow is much too powerful, a way to solve any difficult situation. Feels almost like cheating.

Great movie. Might not be as big as the first but still very entertaining.

If you're just looking for science fiction goodness... that mostly fits the bill. The comedic slapstick throughout this movie will have you in stitches. I just loved most everything about this movie.

I am not joking when I say this, but this is best film I have ever seen. All the characters mean something to this film. No one was a filler character. The story may seem stupid in the trailer, but you get to know more in the film and itI am not joking when I say this, but this is best film I have ever seen. They were no boring scenes, an almost perfect soundtrack and bloody good time. Please go see this film in cinemas while you can because it makes the experience 10x better. The film looks fantastic which is impressive since most of it is CGI. Can't wait for the blu-ray to release and I can't wait for Vol. 3. Don't watch this illegally either. I was concerned, going in, that Gunn couldn't possibly bring the same level of heart, the same exuberantly colorful visuals, and the same character moments that made the first film such a lightning-in-a-bottle moment. I'm please report my fears were utterly unfounded. Volume Two is entirely satisfying on all fronts, and in fact, it's better than the original film on most fronts. Where sequels sometimes suffer from bloat, this movie felt like MORE without feeling like an unintelligible storm of narrative. Every character--from Yondu to Rocket, Mantis to Nebula--gets standout moments, genuine emotional touchpoints that bring us closer to them and their struggles. The Guardians as a franchise-within-a-franchise remains a visual treat, dynamic and free-spirited, and as one reviewer put it (allow me to paraphrase), they're more of a team than the Avengers have ever managed to be. I seriously cannot find fault with anything in this film: if you loved, really loved, the first GOTG, you're going to appreciate Volume Two immensely.… Expand

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is the perfect example of lightning striking twice, except this it's bigger and better. I personally believe the sequel to be superior to the original in almost every way, because it focuses more on what makes the Marvel Cinematic Universe so great. 3 dimensional characters, fascinating relationship, incredible set pieces, and tons of heart. Without giving anything, just go see this movie. If you love the first one, you will love this one. It doesn't rely a lot of the baggage created by the other films and instead focusing on telling a great story about the Guardians themselves filled with action and comedy, all wrapping up in a surprisingly emotional climax.
Marvel has done it again. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is a huge success and one of the best movies of the year.… Expand

I missed this film at the cinema, so finally managed to catch it now that it's out on bluray. It's awesome. Funnier and more character-driven than the first. I cared more about the ending too. I don't know what movie Soren Andersen of the Seattle Times saw, but it was obviously a completely different movie than the one I saw. It's a very rare movie in which the viewers don't all stand en masse and leave as soon as the closing credits begin, out of a theatre full of people I only saw one or two people get up and leave, the rest iof of sat there listening to "Awesome Hits of the 80's Vol. 2" and were rewarded with additional scenes throughout the credits. Awesome movie, I'll probably even buy it when it comes out on BluRay.… Expand

I'm still blown away by the awesomeness of this movie. Just as fun, colorful, action-packed, visually marvelous and lough-out-loud funny as the first one. But, just like the first one, it has its dramatic moments too - ask Mary Poppins.

Funnier than the first, a less compelling climax, but a much more emotional ending. This movie is full of content for Marvel fans, and constantly hilarious. Very different than the first, so hard to compare, but it is excellent.

I liked this even better than the first one.

This is a widely creative story. Like the its predecessor, this is both funny and surprisingly heartfelt, considering the chaotic world of the Guardians. There is some wonderful character work inI liked this even better than the first one.

This is a widely creative story. Like the its predecessor, this is both funny and surprisingly heartfelt, considering the chaotic world of the Guardians. There is some wonderful character work in this. (The cast is great across the board.) I appreciate how much this feels like a natural extension of the first. So rarely do films and their character arcs have such clear progression.

There are a couple issues I had. It felt like Drax (Dave Bautista) was dumbed down. Also, I like new character Mantis (Pom Klementieff), but there is the issue of the changes to her character in comparison to the original comics. Writer and director James Gunn has a fondness for making big changes to comic characters. Usually that works. Here, however, here we have a martial artist female hero transformed into a meeker, more reactive-than-proactive character; problematic.

The whole thing looks great. The first film was distinctive, but this one raises the bar. The sci-fi designs are colorful and creative. The CGI in this is amazing. Really, I think this one of the greatest visual attempts in film. James Gunn's direction and incorporation of classic songs works so well.

Overall, I can't stress how good this is. I highly recommend.… Expand

Soren Andersen must have been sitting backwards in the theater because GOTG vol 2 was a outstanding movie. I will admit a few times the jokes got a little too much, but non the less Vol2 was well worth the wait. Cant wait to watch it again.

This year's Guardians of the Galaxy is comical, fun, and just simply enjoyable for people of all ages. It has plenty of colourful characters, an easy-to-follow plot, and a rather touching scene at the end. For a while, fans could forget about Thanos.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 that builds upon the first movie, but not how a typical Marvel sequel or any action adventure sequel does it. Instead James Gunn decides to build upon the views emotion by diving deeper into each of the characters past and present emotions. The audience gets to find out what makes each character tick. Whether it is Peter Quill and his Father issues or Nebula and Gamora having sister issues or even probably one of the more emotional at least for me was Rocket and Yondu bond that is created with this film. Usually in sequels directors like to go bolder with their action and make even bigger explosions, but with this the action takes a slight backseat compared to great dialogue. Don't get me wrong the action is great all of around from the opening sequence to the end the action was fantastic, but it's the dialogue from each character that makes me feel their pain throughout the whole movie. Not only is the dialogue and action fantastic in the movie but also the mixtape which James Gunn created is fantastic as well. Each song fit so well into each scene, and I find me self going back to replay all the songs because it is so catchy. James Gunn use of color also makes this film beautiful with different variations of color. Some people feel that Marvel films are ugly when they discuss color but this film can have no argument. The use of color on each of the planets and especially the last scene blew me away. Now some spoilers here the creation of Ego the living planet was awesome the detail that was given to that planet had me blown away. Now even more spoilers that I want to talk about quickly, one of them being the Sovereign people. I thought they were a nice touch to move the plot along at times. I liked who they were used and the technology that they had to try and defeat the Guardians. I believe that they will have a much bigger role in Vol 3 no doubt. Ego, Peters fathers was probably one of the best villains in the MCU because he was actually a real human being, which people can relate to rather than a monster but also because he had an emotional story with Peter. Kurt Russles performance was out of this world as always. The only negative I can say which really isn't a negative at all was the humor. At one or two times during the film I found myself saying "eh I wish they didn't put that joke I never there" but I wouldn't care because I still laughed at it so really I do t even consider that a big negative but it was something to say. So would I reccomend this movie? Absolutely, for me personal I know this is a bold statement but this is my favorite Marvel Movie right now. When comparing this to the first one I have a hard time picking a favorite because I feel like the information you learn from the second one elevates the first movie. I won't spoiler any of that here it's better to experience on your own but, I truly had a fun time with this movie it's my favorite and I will say as of now it is better than the first. The way the use family and emotion to capture the character and make views relate to each character is fantastic. And probably one of my favorite things about this movie was that James Gunn had freedom to do whatever he wants, this movie had no connections to movie the whole MCU story closer to Thanos and I was 100% fine with that.I would give this film 10/10… Expand

I was entertained by the first Guardians movie... I thought it just OK, not great. However, this sequel has made me a fan of the franchise, and I'm looking forward to the next installment. The jokes in this movie were really funny... and II was entertained by the first Guardians movie... I thought it just OK, not great. However, this sequel has made me a fan of the franchise, and I'm looking forward to the next installment. The jokes in this movie were really funny... and I laughed many times out loud, as did nearly all the others in the theater. The storyline was very good as these Marvel movies go... but the dialogue and deeper character development is what made it great. The cameo appearances by Stallone were gems, Kurt Russell was well cast and I now have a newfound respect for actor Michael Rooker. The role of Mantis was also well done and acted.

I would never expect a movie of this genre to actually give me "the feels", but this one sure as heck DID. I was exceptionally entertained by this one, and won't be surprised if it ends up my favorite for 2017.… Expand

Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Kurt Russell, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, and Sean Gunn gave stupendous and hilarious performances alsoFantastic movie. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 was better than Guardians 1 and I’ll list the reasons why because it is seldom where a sequel outperforms its predecessor. One thing was the soundtrack was fun! It fit the movie, and it was amazing. Fun tracks like “Come a Little Bit Closer” had me tappin my foot to the awesome mix. Baby Groot also makes this movie. Baby Groot is funner than Big Boy Groot. Also cuter and I’m sure the merchandising is cashing in on this aspect. Give me a hero who appears weak and powerless yet can get the job done in fun way. And that’s exactly what Baby Groot represents.

I watched Guardians 2 in the theatre and I knew it was a good movie at the end. Right after they started rolling the credits we were leaving and I saw a woman near the front who was an obvious comicbook fan who was crying, and she was talking with her friends and I heard her say “that was a great movie.” It's great when fans are moved to tears because they love a movie. Funniest movie of the year so far. Visually beautiful. I'm not big on 3D but I am quite happy I saw it in 3D. She was great in Dr. Who, but she didn't have much to do in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1, and her character is even more 1 dimensional here. Everyone else was great. It felt like character building was given preference over plot and that caused things to slow down at times. But they are good characters, and they did it well. Sometimes the humor was a bit forced but overall more jokes paid off than not. The opening sequence was great, and overall I really enjoyed the film. Is it better than the original? Probably not. Rocket is a highlight of this film, like the first one. The movie has a big heart and really feels like its about something, and that saves it from being "just another marvel movie". This and the first Guardians are my two favorite films of the MCU. So glad to see James Gunn will still be writing and directing the third one. It wouldn't be the same without him.… Expand

3. Картинка: Яркая, цветастая, красивая. Это идёт как должное, ведь при таком бюджете создатели обязаны сделать отличные эффекты.
4. Музыка: опять же, понравилась больше, чем в прошлом фильме. Сами композиции, да и то, как они вплетены в действие - это слушается и выглядит прекрасно.

First off let me explain that I am not one to obsess about Marvel films (as I feel the DCEU should get a fair shot), but Guardians of the Galaxy has always been an exception. The first film expertly combined the right elements of humor and heart that added up to an all right joy ride. In many respects this film is not very different. You can expect to see the same goofy, outlandish, yet hilarious humor from the first movie in this one. The humor is especially attributed to Baby Groot, which adds plenty of interesting dynamics to the group. The humor may not feel as fresh however, as it is very similar to the first film in this regard. The thing that puts this film above the last one is its ability to include even more heart and emotional depth. Volume 2 expands on the developments of previous characters and works to give depth and multiple dimensions to some anti-heroes not explored in the first film (ex. Gamora and Gandor). Overall, if you were a fan of the first film you should enjoy this film. Even as a person who has not read the comics nor is obsessed with any superhero movie, I found a lot to enjoy with this movie. The plot was clever,flowed smoothly and made sense in a comic book fashion.
The characters were further developed from the first film and secrets were revealed,questions answered throughout .
Action sequences and special effects were tremendous and spaced out perfectly.
I'm happy that this film and Logan are the 2 best films i've seen this yr,each being a credit to Marvel and near the end of this film i had to admire the universe they've created and how special it is.
Before the film they had the new Thor Ragnorok trailer and it promises to more of the same great stuff.

Je n'ai pas seulement aimé je les adorer.. POUR LES MUSIQUES MYTHIQUES (une promesse tenue du premier épisode !) ! Oui, mais pas seulement.. Quand vous allez le voir, c'est pour l'éclaté !
Des scènes d'actions centrées sur des personnages minuscules renforcent le côté grotesque de l'affrontement [spoiler] contre une pieuvre de l'espace [/spoiler] (LOL vous voyer le "tableau") [spoiler] Une descente dans l'atmosphère d'une planète inconnue puis des coups d'arbre contre un personnage sortit du vaisseau et protégé par une simple armure de survie interdite... (celle-ci aussi est sympa.) [/spoiler] bref plein de scène "n'importe, nawak" qui appuie le côté délire que sont les gardiens de la galaxie Effectivement c'est Disney avec beaucoup de défauts, mais c'est stylisé !
On a l'impression de voir un dessin animé comme le fameux "Bip Bip et Coyote" sauf qu’aujourd'hui c'est un film d'un rang nettement supérieur au budget colossal !
Moins de risque ont été pris par la production que le premier c'est vrai (pas de scène lourde au milieu de nulle par exemple une danse alors que c'est la fin du monde... #GardienDeLaGalaxie1. Mais une ascension émotionnelle mieux gérée.. Peut-être un peut brutal à la fin. Seulement on pourrait presque pleurer une larme....
Un Dolby Atmos qui se renforce, mais toujours pas assez de bruit d'environnement. Exemple on est dans une forêt ou il n'y a aucun crépitement aucun son aucun artefact audible seulement du vide c'est un peut dommage.
Il faut de la musique, mais il ne faut pas quels masques le fond on n'est pas sur un montage de vidéo YouTube ou on défile les images les musiques et pouf .. Un film MCU (Marvel Cinematic Univers). J'espère que le côté musique sera laissé pour le fun, car il est vrai que l'on perd en ambiance générale..… Expand

Almost as good, or equal, to the original. The acting has stayed the same, and that is amazing. The visuals are some of the best I have every seen. While this movie may not be high art it is most certainly an experience. The amazing visuals (Like the 1980's took LSD and threw up rainbows) combined with great sound design make it a feast for the senses. Unlike some of the more story centered and poignant Marvel Films ie. Captain America Civil War, Guardians is more about the characters, the ride, and having big fun adventures in space. It does have it's emotional moments, hitting almost as hard as the first film, but in the end James Gunn has lovingly crafted a fun comic book movie. While that may not suit every critics taste, you'd have to be twisted to walk out of the movie without having laughed out loud a dozen times; and that alone is such a treat it's easily worth the ticket price.… Expand

Before going to this film I was a little scared by some reviews it got, some people calling it not "good as the first one", forced, and things like that. Now that I've seen it I can tell you FORGET about them! Now that I've seen it I can tell you FORGET about them! This movie by no means can be compared to the first one because it's very DIFFERENT. It doesn't try to remake things the 1st had, it makes unique new things with that awesome GotG flavor we all love from the 1st one. Yes, some jokes don't land, and yes some "dramatic scenes" feel out of place. But no film is perfect & this film did original and unique things that expand every character of the roster. You get to know them a lot more, and by that, you end up loving them EVEN more that you already did (assuming you liked the 1st one). The message it brings at the end it's reinforced by all that happened in the 1st entry, and by things that happened in this one, the movie it's so good. Overall, do not compare this film with the 1st one because you are making a mistake. Take this film as a new entry, a new experience, a new breathing to the franchise. The movie it's a great ride! This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The one true complaint that can be said about this film is that it isn't quite as good as the fantastic first film. I, personally say that it's about equal when all things are considered. It's not quite as funny, but the character development means that you become invested in all of the characters more than at the end of the first film. The soundtrack is amazing as ever. It's slightly cliché in parts, but the villain is actually developed and Kurt Russell's performance solidifies him as one of the far better villains that the Marvel heroes have faced. In my opinion, the third best villain Marvel has had. His plan made sense to me and honestly I really rooted against him. The performances are excellent and it's an enjoyable film.… Expand
