Your $40 buys you nothing but a video version of the standard, real-life trading card game.
-
The lackluster visuals, an unsophisticated setup, and tepid pacing render it more curiosity than keepsake, even for series die-hards.
-
This is one of those games that will remind you that, many times, your imagination is the most powerful console.
-
But most mystifying of all is the absence of any kind of multiplayer. Theres no Xbox live support and no two-player mode. Believe it or not, the only way to play with someone else is to have two consoles, two copies of the game, two TVs and the Xbox link cable.
-
If there had been Xbox Live support it would have at least given you some live players to compete against, but still would be a boring card-dueling game with too many confusing rules and a bland presentation.
