  1. If you haven't played the "Two Thrones" and enjoy platforming mixed with fighting and puzzles, don't miss this game; it's a true masterpiece.

The Wii version looks zero percent better to my eye than the original release of this game, but enthusiasts of the franchise may want to take this for a spin to try out the unique controls. [May 2007, p.88]

The game is just fun to play, and the story is satisfying pulp. [May 2007, p.62]

Nothing here warrants shelling out for the game if you played it on another console, but if you missed out (and you want to play it on the Wii instead of picking up a cut-priced last-gen copy of Two Thrones) it'll keep you busy for the 12 or 15 hours the campaign will take you.
  5. It is becoming too easy for developers and publishers to just add minor things to games and then port them to other systems, especially the Wii.
  6. While some of Prince's acrobatic movements are decent with the Wiimote, the combat — especially the Speed Kill — suffers badly, and overall, the game performed better with a tradition control scheme.
  7. If you missed Two Thrones, or are the type of person who craves that motion sensing control, go pick this one up, because even with its flaws it is still Prince of Persia done right.

The game is a combination of melee combat and freerunning/climbing sequences. It can get repetitive, but towards the end there's one of the most memorable puzzles I've encountered that will appeal to all the puzzle lovers out there. I'm referring to figuring out how to maneuver a giant statue through a room along a sort of conveyor belt. And the final boss on hard mode was so hard that it took me about 3 hours of attempts. The determining factor comes with whether or not you own Two thrones. Now, if you don't then dive right in as the game has worlds to offer you especially if you never played two thrones. Otherwise this port has nothing to offer. If you do feel like taking the dive however it is worthwhile and while some of the motion controls are gimicky, some of them are very gratifying such as swinging dark prince's chains to grapple across large gaps or latching your sword into a wall to catch yourself. Overall your enjoyment is directly related to your attachment to the series Full Review »

Definitely time for Ubi to stop beating the dead horse.
