All in all, it's amazing the amount of content that's packed into this game -- this is more than a sequel, even while including a redux of the first game's three movies.

The established Lego game design wasn't broken, but, after so many games, it was beginning to get a bit stale. Those used to the previous titles might feel a bit disoriented at first, but you'll soon settle in and begin having fun exploring the large hubs and condensed levels.
  3. Overall, LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues is a great addition to Traveler's Tales LEGO games and a fun follow-up to first LEGO Indy title.

A dizzying array of stuff will keep you tinkering for a while. [Christmas 2009, p.54]

Takes several steps forward and a few shuffles back. [Christmas 2009, p.64]
  6. There's not much new here, but this is a gently humorous adventure that Indy fans will enjoy.
  7. Whatever its flaws, this game does a decent enough job of walking the line between sticking to the formula and mixing things up.

Lego Indiana Jones 2 is a decent sequel, keeping the style of the original without changing the formula, which makes sure it will be enjoyed by those who liked the first game, but won't surprise anyone.
  9. Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues was always going to feel a bit desperate, making the most out of a small amount of new content, but Traveller's Tales has done a decent job.
  10. Lego Indiana Jones 2 demonstrates that combining a well ambientation and design with an excellent soundtrack, can make a game much better than it was. This rendition of the game exceed its first version.
  11. Indy’s newest adventure wasn’t built to last.

The game is structured very well; each game section has its own massive hub world that ties everything together, and exploring every nook and cranny to find all the goodies can be pretty addictive. Too bad the actual gameplay isn't as compelling. [Holiday 2009, p.87]

The lack of secrets in the main levels is a mistake, the new hub worlds are confusing and the level editor is just short of being pointless. If you haven't already played it, the original LEGO Indiana Jones is a much better purchase.

The gameplay is fun and its a funny way of telling the story of the many Indiana jones movies. The hub worlds, while unnecessary, are cool little open worlds. The loading is a big issue though. Also, motion controls are minimal only doing around 2 actions so you don't have to remember to do stupid movements to get your guy to do something. Underrated game. Full Review »

This game is the same as the DS version, which is disappointing as it lack some detail and quality which as in the first IJ game. However IThis game is the same as the DS version, which is disappointing as it lack some detail and quality which as in the first IJ game. However I did complete this game BTW, thus I do recommend this game for the story(Cutscene) and brick smashing, but some part of this game can be a bit repetitive it the way it challenges the player, But overall worth a try.
