    This game deserved a Remake, not this bugged remaster with a lot of music missing, those games deserved much more.

    Buggy, slow frame rate, overall **** port. I can't believe rockstar let this happen. $60 to top it off. I was super stoked for san Andreas I haven't played it in years. What a let down. I'd rather play it on mobile

I guarantee you will have a much more worthwhile experience with Balan Wonderworld than you ever would with this broken soulless piece of garbage!     This game was over-hyped and was released being very buggy. I've experienced issues ranging from graphical issues to severe frame rate drops(especially in GTA III). Do not buy and if you did, call Nintendo for a refund saying how bad this game is.

    The game can't handle even 30 fps while driving, and all the bugs that are on all platforms...
    I do prefer the original ones being ported, that's how bad this trilogy is...

    These games were fine on PC... just a little outdated. I still played them, but I was excited for this release, especially being able to play on the go on Switch. But anyone giving this a good review on any platform is either a bot or has never played a videogame before. The Switch port is especially egregious. Vice City looks the worst by far.     Absolutely unplayable piece of crap. I’ve expected some mixed experience, but this goes beyond any expectations. The game is slow, buggy and and graphics is even worse that it was on PS2 back in a day. Even my old iPhone runs the mobile version better.

    Absolutely not worth the $60 asking price. Wtf is this Rockstar? Are you just thieves now? The switch port is such a pisspoor excuse for a port. Super blurry, horrible frame rate, loads of pop in. This game looks worse then the original did.

    Would by the game again, runs great on the switch with no bugs for days now. All the games are a lot of fun and worth $60 all together.

    Очень плохой ремастер, во всех аспектах - хреновая оптимизация, баги, несерьезный стиль графики, что убивает часть атмосферы оригиналов, очень высокая цена.

    Acid vomit. Never seen as many bugs in my life (except Cyberf*ck 2077 maybe). Also removing the originals from digital storefronts, following the **** move with Warcraft 3 reforged, rockstar truly earned it's placed in the 9th circle of Hell.

    First game of GTA to come to Nintendo Switch and is one of the worst games this year. If you want to play GTA Vice City, SA or lll just play it for free on emulators rather than buying this thing for 60$

    Should've been a surefire home run, even given the advancing age of these games. What you get instead will probably go on record as the most disastrous video game release of 2021. Absolutely baffling.

    This games sucks on NS. So disappointed ☹️ It crashes sometimes, textures appears within 2 meters from character and freezes the gameplay. And it costs like a game, not like **** it really is

    This game is trash it has loads of bugs it’s mobile port and they don’t make a console and pc version of it like really rockstar you have loads of money and you make the game look better like seriously you just made grovestreet to remaster that buggy game like it’s only 30 fps when it will be 60? When??

    It’s really that bad. This is a buggy, laggy, crash-prone port and the pre-launch review embargo suggests that the developers and publishers knew that this was going to be dumpster fire at launch. Sad!

    Absolutely a terrible cash grab. Blurry mess, frame rate is all over the place. many glitches that just make the game unplayable on the switch. Looks like they used an AI to upscale everything and that was it. Didn't even look it over. I was granted a refund from Nintendo.

Within 5 minutes of playing, I had driven into an invisible hole in the road, I had jumped off a bridge and got stuck on something invisible in mid-air (I had to force-quit the game and relaunch to recover), failed a mission twice because a NPC got randomlyMy expectations for the Switch port were low, but I still preordered (c'mon, it's GTA on the Switch), but this is truly abysmal. Even if you ignore the endless bugs, it looks 480p or worse in docked mode, with no fog effects or any other atmosphere other than rain that doesn't look like rain. Truly abysmal. I'm stunned they released it. I assume there will be bug fixes but how on earth Rockstar thought this was okay is beyond me.

    I wish I could get a refund but not sure it's possible on the eShop.    … Expand

    When promised a DEFINITIVE edition, I expected a labour of love from Rockstar Games, a collection celebrating their franchise. Instead, they release versions looking and performing worse than the originals. The games in this collection are among the ugliest games ever made.

    GTA The Trilogy: The Definitive Edition is a collection of 3 great titles that left their mark in history. However, the so-called Definitive Edition came out without the deserved treatment.

    These are all great games, some of the most influential AAA sandbox games of all time. I cannot in good conscience recommend you play this version, especially if you wanted to check out the Nintendo Switch version. It’s quite ironic that unnecessary and ugly visual overhauls make these ports of PS2 games almost unplayable on this system. I hate to be cynical, but I don’t think you could salvage these things without redesigning everything from the ground up. Grand Theft Auto deserved better, and you deserve better than to waste your money on this.

    In its current state, the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is only worth getting if you can get it at a large discount and assuming you’re willing to put up with many technical issues on Switch. While a lot of the major bugs I ran into have been addressed in patches, this is still nowhere near as good as it should be given how important these three games are to gaming in general. It also doesn’t help that the Switch patches are delayed compared to other platforms.
