    It is completely unacceptable that they couldn't get ps2 games to run well on the Switch. Also its very clear that they didn't manually create HD textures and instead let an algorithm do it, and the results are atrocious, so much text from the originals has been completely butchered. What a waste of time and money, whoever at Rockstar cleared this for launch should be ashamed.

    If T2 and Rockstar Games didn't need the money, they would have made a good remaster, but the reality is upsetting.

    A trash remaster made by some low Asian studios, Rockstar just took the credits. They don't even used their own engine, they remastered the game in Unreal Engine, how silly, but they know how to take your money.

    Our expectations were low but holy f*ck. This is wrong on so many levels but knowing Rockstar no issue will be resolved. Imagine having trouble hitting 60 fps in a 20 years old game.

    It has completely ruined San Andreas... the map looks tiny, like some kind of condensed Fortnight map.
    It's particularly abhorrent when you can see Las Venturas from Los Santos or Mount Chilliad from Santa Maria beach.
    The limited draw distance worked to the games benefit... it made the map seem huge. Now that sense of scale and wonder have been completely ruined. Not even a slight haze like in real life... :(

Os áudios são os mesmos. não atualizaram para ter opção, de poder trocar áudio antigo e novo. Inclusive os áudios estão todos misturados, pois o áudio do GTA San Andreas está nos outros jogos.     This game was over-hyped and was released being very buggy. I've experienced issues ranging from graphical issues to severe frame rate drops(especially in GTA III). Do not buy and if you did, call Nintendo for a refund saying how bad this game is.

Why you don't give us gta 5 or gta 4 complete edition, will be better than this gta trilogy mod.     This a horrible port. DO NOT BUY THIS!!! The frame rate dips to 20 FREQUENTLY, while driving the dynamic resolution drops SEVERELY. It turns into a blurry mess. The game is UNFINISHED and it is very obvious. This game needs a lot of work. Wait until it gets it.

I absolutely dont care that Rockstar North didnt work on this. They hired the studio, they green lit it, they were okay to release it in state like this. Its all on them. Everything. Now Rockstar Launcher has been down over a day, i cant even play Red Dead Redemption 2, because it asks me to connect to internet and i cant do that, because launcher is down. This is ridiculous. They have milked GTA Online over 8 years and thats all they are capable of for now. Yes Red Dead 2 was great, but that was 4-5 years ago. Thats a long time. I have zero hope for GTA 6, absolutely none. I bet it fill be with short story and extreme focus on online, i mean who know, maybe whole game will be just online, but im pretty sure they will design GTA 6 map, so it would mostly fit for online.     Here are my thoughts on the trilogy, especially the Nintendo Switch Version:

    I have no idea why they thought that releasing this trilogy, considering the state it is in, was a good idea.

    They've only announced it in October, and released it in November. Instead they should have waited
    and really made sure, that the games look good and are optimized for performance.

    Not releasing any press copies was a massive red flag. They didn't want to have all these magazines
    and gaming outlets report on how horribly bad the games were.

    The way Grove Street Games and Rockstar Games handled this release is outrageous and
    feels like a quick cash grab.

    The version on the Switch is basically unplayable and looks worse than the original games did.
    Constant stuttering, low resolution, textures loading forever, the list is endless.

    When the games were announced, I was as excited as on Christmas Day, but boy have I been disappointed.

    Please do yourself a favor and don't buy this piece of crap.

    GTA Liberty / Vice City Stories from 2005/2006 (!!!!) on the freaking PSP looked and run better. Rockstar lost a costumer who where loyal since buying GTA III in 2001. Lazy & greedy fckfaces.

    I was suspicious since there where no pre-release footage but it is still worse than I excepted. honestly the art style is worse than in the originals, the performance (frame rate) isn't acceptable (its a 2001 and 2002 PS2 Game FFS, look what Studios who actually care about Quality can do on Switch (Crisis Trilogy, Doom, Wolfenstein...). NO new features like swimming, climbing ladders to preserve the "original gameplay/feeling" but u change the cardriving physics and cut symbols and conversations from it, so maybe a lazy excuse?
    PATCH IT. Patch it more than Project CD patches Cyberpunk. Patch it from all the millions $ u get from preorders for 60$ YES 60 Bucks, done under false and misleading advertisement by not showing footage prerelease.
    And let's not talk about the fact they took down the Original Trilogy which I enjoyed playing much more than this ****. call my oldschool but I prefer a coherent artstyle and stable frame rate over shiny reflecting carbodies.
    The only Definitive thing Rockstar achieved here is that I DEFINITIVELY won't buy any Rockstar product from now on!
    If u really want to go to Liberty City or Vice City on Handheld, go get a used PSP and LCStories and VCStories, from a time when Publishers weren't too big to fail and actually cared for consumers and had a inner motivation to create something good, new, artful and innovativ.

    Man, this game was on my GOTY list even before it released! But what a mess. Not optimized at all, the stuttering is hideous. The graphics on the old version were even better! Just release the OG versions and throw this away.

    What is even up with the gunplay??? Gonna try to ask my money back.

    Definitely do not buy this game on Nintendo Switch! Aside from the technical issues currently plaguing all versions of the game, the Switch version also suffers from choppy frame rates, severe asset pop-in and long load times. It's not worth your money.

    There was actually a time when R* was on the cutting edge of gaming technology. That time has long passed. This switch version is an incomprehensible mess of broken frame rates and unloaded textures. It’s nasty of R* to sell this mess to their fans, & it’s messed up that Nintendo would even allow this on their store.

    Vice city and San Andreas have the weapon wheel right? How come we cant have all 3 weapon sets when gta online literally has 5 guns at least per slot? The graphics are ok to my liking but im seeing that the rain is **** killing my eyes no matter the game. Also how come we pause the game in gta 3 and in vice city that it literally makes san andreas sounds and not the literal original sounds of the pause menu in vice city and 3? Like there's so many damn things i wanna rip on this like how gta 3 on the switch doesnt **** have cheats yet every other console does? And again the **** weapon wheel people i mean come on i know im not the only one that feels that way about the weapon wheel not being able to have all the weapons in the game considering gta v has way more guns in each slot i find that **** like its super **** easy to program bro
    Im seriously thinking of just playing gta online due to how **** embarrassing the remastered trilogy is and we all know how **** chaotic that **** is
    Also why do we have all 29 radio stations yet not all the original music considering how **** rich cockstar is like thats the holy grail of remastering **** is having some original content whilst being able to make it look pretty but also SOUND **** PRETTY TOO.     Io l’ho comprato per Switch perché non ho resistito, è da 4 anni e mezzo che sogno di averlo su Switch, e adesso mi ritrovo ad averlo ottimizzato malissimo. Va a 30 fps che non sono praticamente mai stabili, soprattutto se si guida l’auto.     Il gioco ha continui cali di frame e quasi mai a 30 fps.
    Quando guido con la pioggia il terreno diventa a tratti verde come se la scheda grafica della Switch non riuscisse a caricare le texture. Inoltre mi è capitato di attraversare dei muri come se fossi un fantasma.
    Se fossi uno sviluppatore mi vergognerei del lavoro svolto.
    Spero che ci siano Patch correttive.

    Sconsiglio pertanto l’acquisto, tranne se uno lo vuole a tutti i costi portatile sacrificando l’ottimizzazione.    … Expand

    There are bugged textures left and right. There is a night and day difference in the detail in the face of the protagonists compared to any other character, and it feels incredibly out of place. There are mission bugs, particularly in VC’s Gun Runner. The frame rate is inconsistent at best, dropping the most drastically when it begins to rain. The rain is also unbearable. In VC and SA, the issue doesn’t seem to be quite as intolerable, but nonetheless they are still just white streaks flying across the screen instead of something that actually resembles rain drops. You could go through the r/GTA or r/GTATrilogy for 5 minutes and spot 30 bugs players have found, which vary from immersion breaking to game breaking. There are removed songs and animations in each game, the most egregious of the animations being everything muscular CJ does now. And as far as missing songs goes, the company that made this game has amassed an unbelievable amount of wealth, and it’s nothing but laziness and greediness to not work out licensing for the ACTUAL DEFINITIVE SOUNDTRACK. The games’ audio received almost no polish. It seems the only thing actually done to change these games from what they were before is the graphical appearance. When these games were current, they were the best looking PS2 era games around. With the “Definitive” editions just released, they are still nothing more than the best looking PS2 era games. The only changes to make gameplay any smoother are the free camera, and free camera drive by controls. By today’s standards, GTA 3 is next to unplayable. Nothing about it feels good. It was a chore to complete, and it’s a game from my childhood that I have incredibly fond memories of. I even go back and play the original version once every 2 or 3 years, along with VC and SA. These games deserved improvements to make them appeal to the generation that didn’t get the chance to play them when all the hype surrounded them. Instead, we’ve gotten 3 bug ridden messes from a studio that already ruined the 10 year anniversary edition of, arguably, everybody’s favorite game, San Andreas (I prefer VC for the story, and SA for gameplay). If changes aren’t made VERY soon to fix performance issues, and eliminate the dozens of bugs players are coming across, I think the legacy of these games will be tarnished, and the reputation of all companies involved will be questioned of laziness and greed. tl;dr: It’s a rushed mess. It is incredibly apparent they needed at least another 2 months to have the games properly built. And now, instead, we’re going to have to wait and hope that they add patches that we should’ve never had to wait for in the first place.… Expand

    This trilogy game doesn't run well on switch. Nintendo switch can barely play these 3 titles, but they didn't deserve the platform. Rockstar is a massive company, but they are really lazy. No I'll never buy the game until they fix all fps and glitch issues

This attempt at visual and gameplay improvement means nothing if they cannot be executed properly. I would’ve been content paying and playing the original ps2 or pc ports of these games. This product leaves me feeling cheated out of my money by rockstar and grove street games. Lesson learned, never purchase a digital game before reviews and video content is created to showcase it in action.    … Expand

    This is another way for Rockstar taking your money. Better to buy the games on the second hand market or spend your money elsewhere.

    The fact that there is a glitch where you drink Sprunk cans from the same machine too many times, you're game crashes and CAN'T be loaded up ever again, why should this get anything higher than 0? Hell, this game should be in the negatives. Good job guys. You got GTA on the Switch. Too bad you suck at remastering your ****

    Absolutely a terrible cash grab. Blurry mess, frame rate is all over the place. many glitches that just make the game unplayable on the switch. Looks like they used an AI to upscale everything and that was it. Didn't even look it over. I was granted a refund from Nintendo.

    As vezes, tenho a impressão de que GTA the trilogy não é uma preservação em si, e sim uma maneira de ganância nítida. E uma maneira de estragar os gta's clássicos, transformaram grades jogos em grande abominações.

    Just don't run for more than 2 minutes. The moment the frame rate needs to increase the game shuts down. Rockstars worse job & I genuinely think unacceptable for the charge! The modders the sued did a better job and it's shown them up massively. Rockstar used to be fantastic but no longer. Refund requested and I hope they can turn the tide for their business..

I'm stunned they released it. I assume there will be bug fixes but how on earth Rockstar thought this was okay is beyond me.

    Absolutely unplayable piece of crap. I’ve expected some mixed experience, but this goes beyond any expectations. The game is slow, buggy and and graphics is even worse that it was on PS2 back in a day. Even my old iPhone runs the mobile version better.

    These are all great games, some of the most influential AAA sandbox games of all time. I cannot in good conscience recommend you play this version, especially if you wanted to check out the Nintendo Switch version. It’s quite ironic that unnecessary and ugly visual overhauls make these ports of PS2 games almost unplayable on this system. I hate to be cynical, but I don’t think you could salvage these things without redesigning everything from the ground up. Grand Theft Auto deserved better, and you deserve better than to waste your money on this.

    In its current state, the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is only worth getting if you can get it at a large discount and assuming you’re willing to put up with many technical issues on Switch. While a lot of the major bugs I ran into have been addressed in patches, this is still nowhere near as good as it should be given how important these three games are to gaming in general. It also doesn’t help that the Switch patches are delayed compared to other platforms.
