    This is a gem of a Vita game that, while drawing heavily on well-known story and game-play elements, delivers some great and fresh takes on them. I particularly liked the atmosphere and the narrative (which arguably takes its time to get going, but makes up for it with some very nicely implemented narrative techniques that organically complement the overall story).

    It's not perfect and probably a 8.5/10 game on the PS4, but given just how well it fits the Vita from a gameplay perspective as well as with regard to presentation and controls, it's a 10/10 Vita game for me.    … Expand

    El juego es brutal de bueno. No solo por el aspecto visual. El juego es muy activo y frenético sin que te sientes perdido. El juego da buen toque de RPG en tiempo real a gran velocidad y con un sistema muy divertido de jugarse.Ademas que explota Brillantemente el potencial de la VITA. Eso si... hay iconos demasiado cerca de los extremos de la pantalla y alguna vez los tocas sin querer.El juego es brutal de bueno. No solo por el aspecto visual.     Por todo lo alto. Nueva aventura del tipo action RPG para Adol, esta vez náufrago en una isla maldita llena de peligros y misterios. Ha pasado mucho tiempo para que la portátil de Sony sea llevada otra vez al límite en cuanto a balancear graficos y jugabilidad, con un sistema de combate muy divertido y variado. Cada personaje tiene un tipo de daño y estilo diferenciado, como ya nos tienePor todo lo alto. Nueva aventura del tipo action RPG para Adol, esta vez náufrago en una isla maldita llena de peligros y misterios. Ha pasado mucho tiempo para que la portátil de Sony sea llevada otra vez al límite en cuanto a balancear graficos y jugabilidad, con un sistema de combate muy divertido y variado. Cada personaje tiene un tipo de daño y estilo diferenciado, como ya nos tiene acostumbrado la saga. A medida que avancemos en nuestra aventura la diversidad de escenarios y monstruos nos incentivará a recorrer más del mapa. Hay mucho para hacer en la isla: obtener mas materiales para mejorar nuestras armas y armaduras, pescar nuevas especies en los numerosos rios o playas y lo más importante encontrar mas náufragos para que con su ayuda podamos acceder a más zonas de la isla y asi la historia progrese. Si bien los escenarios son a simple vista extensos, están divididos en áreas mas pequeñas con tiempos de carga entre ellas relativamente cortas. La banda sonora tiene temas acordes a la zona geográfica y llegan al clímax durante las batallas contra los jefes de cada area. Los personajes están dentro dentro de los estereotipos de todo juego de aventuras (el héroe callado, el fortachón, la tsundere, etc). Los controles del juegos me tomaron algo de tiempo para acostumbrarme a ellos si bien los puedes editar en la pantalla de ajustes. En conclusión Ys VIII Lacrimosa of Dana es una gran aventura que tiene el plus de poder llevarse a todos lados y posiblemente el juego del año para Playstation Vita.… Expand

    Together with Persona 4 Golden probably the very best Vita game out there. The Vita may be dead, but long live the Vita.

    Sur PSVita Ys VIII est beau, d'une jouabilité nerveuse parfois imprécise, avec des musiques souvent entêtantes et une durée de vie bien longue (70 heures pour à peu près rincer le jeu).
    Cependant le scénario se perd quelques fois (quête du sans nom par exemple) et le système des trophées est curieux.

    Oh man, this game is amazing in every aspect: great visuals, fabulous music, superb game-play & controls, exciting story which doesn't seem to end....ever. A must-have for every Vita owner!

    Öncelikle ps vita da bu oyunun olması vita sahipleri açısından mükemmel. Oyun güzel hikayeler, diyaloglar ve görevler barındırıyor. Müzikleri insanı gerçekten o diyarlara götürüyor. Dövüş mekanikleri de yerinde. Tavsiye ediyorum. Neden 10 vermedim, çünkü bazen diyaloglar sıkabiliyor Türkçe olsa onu da kırmazdım.

    strong points:
    - I love Adalo's standing still quotes like "I'm excited!" sometimes when I'm tired a bit it helps to keep me energized in the story. - enemies variety: you won't see the same old enemies. they always are big different. - the combat is engaging - the abilities are so cool and the characters all have ultimate attacks (L2 + L1) - the story is huge, long and    here it goes.
    strong points:

    - enemies variety: you won't see the same old enemies. they always are big different.
    - the combat is engaging
    - the abilities are so cool and the characters all have ultimate attacks (L2 + L1)
    - the story is huge, long and fantastic. you don't buy this game and only can play for 2 hours. it made me tear up a few times.
    - a portable Ys title in 3D for the first time. and the landscape was breathtaking
    - the music is so cool to hear. its magical and emercive. its so good.
    - the game is on ps vita and it looks amazing
    - the gameplay is smooth and its also "touch"

    cons:
    - some lag when using Adols "Brave charge" and when there's tons of enemies on screen
    - too much lines to read and there's not enough voice acting.    … Expand

    Best game on PS Vita. Although, the graphics that exhausts the PS Vita performance, it still has a high stability of FPS. A touching story. Soundtrack above the standard.

    Ys VIII proves once again that 2016 is the year of J-RPG. Not only does it offer solid RPG elements and dynamic combat sessions, it also does a very good job at making us discover the Siren Island and care for our heroes. And with its excellent graphics (especially for the Vita version) and this very good soundtrack, all that makes it one of the best game of this summer 2016. A great J-RPG to play on the go.

    It’s another stellar entry in a franchise that’s full of them, and if you’re after an RPG that pushes the Vita to its limits (without ever breaking them), it’s a definite must-play.

    I've got some hang-ups with Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, but ultimately it's a beautiful and exhilarating little game that's worth your time. Falcom has managed to craft a lovely series out of excellent combat, endearing characters, and snippets of story; that formula has worked well in the past, but some of the risks haven't paid off in this entry. The Vita version is sadly missing all of the PS4 and PC additions, such as the extra forms for Dana, but what you do get is a beautiful adventure in the palm of your hands. Everyone should try at least one Ys game, and this is yet another entry in the series I recommend — just expect something a bit different this time.
