An entire JRPG trimmed down to the length of a single afternoon, The Longest Five Minutes brings a Memento-esque experience that plays around with the plays with the concept of time and the fallibility of our own memories.

It's lovingly crafted, but painfully underexecuted. The combat is a chore with random encounters happening about ten times too often. It's a drag to play start to finish that has no fulfillment or reward to it.

The characters and dialogue are good, but the game is a slog.

It does, however, have one of the best trophy lists of all time. This game had a lot of cute little side quests to do for trophies. The list is attainable and rewarding, encouraging the user to explore every facet of the game.

Unfortunately this will become a trophy whore game because the game itself isn't worthwhile. Especially not at a $40 price point. It's one of those games that should be $11.99 and only bought on sale at $4.99.
